28 day water fast beginning midnight 18th May

IMHO, if you end your fast on the 1st that gives you a complete 2 weeks. An impressive achievement for a first time. Myself I started with a 4-day. My suggestion is on the 1st & 2nd you stay on bone broth and soups. The 3rd you can have more substantial meals. You should be fine on the 4th. You may need to take a few minutes longer break between clients though as your body switches back to running on glucose.

Remember it takes 3 days to go from glucose to ketosis. Its about the same time in reverse. Since the rule of thumb on a refeed is half the length of the fast you can then switch to an IF or ADF format with low-carb. Personally I don’t do keto as the diversity of our gut bacteria requires a wide variety of carbs to stay healthy.

Hope this helps!

Hey @ashi_bt, I’m happy to share. I’m pleased with the physical changes in terms of weight loss I’ve had 7.3kg (16 lbs) loss…expected more, but that’s ok, I am very close to my goal weight, so that’s normal. There’s a big drop in energy. I don’t do anything strenuous n love to lay on my couch. Mentally; alert but feeling meh just no enthusiasm to attempt on any interesting projects, I did nothing on my to-do list :joy_cat:

Completed Day 8/21. Dropped 19 pounds. It gets tough from here on out because I’m going to start digging into decade-old visceral fat which brings up its own issues from my experience with my last 2 21-day fasts. I developed a specific treatment protocol to deal with it that was reviewed by my endocrinologist. But as they say the proof is in the pudding, time to road test the theory!

Thank you @compdude. Going to hold out…my bone broth didn’t arrive yesterday night anyways so it must be fate that I continue

Day 11/21 I made it to the half-way mark! I’m so excited. 14 lbs down, but just about to hit 60 lbs overall! Feeling good, no major things going on. I have a respectable about of energy.

On Day 15, didn’t start well, I had to pick up a delivery at the lobby of my apartment, I went down feeling light-headed at some point I felt like I’m going to pass out, so I sat down for a while before I came back home, I’m doing nothing but just laying on the couch… Gosh…my mind keeps asking me to break the fast, but I’ve come this far!!

Phew, don’t think I’ll attempt another 21D fast again… Sorry for being so negative.

Hope everyone is doing well. Unfortunately, I have to break my fast. I have been feeling nauseous for days now and the awful taste in my mouth is no better. The Nausea has got much worse and my electrolytes are not improving my symptoms, I can’t sleep at all due to nausea either. I have to listen to my body. On a positive note, I have lasted a lot longer than I thought I would 13days 10 hrs, I’m still exercising my fasting muscles.

Now to break my fast I only have eggs, which I can scramble or noodles soup .which would be best for me to have? Does anyone know? @Compdude, any preference?

I think anything brothy is fine to break your fast. When I broke my 20 days it was chicken noodle soup for 2 days, then 2 days of smoothies, then small salads for 3 days then eggs, bacon

Hmmm I finally gave in, not because of hunger but because I’m just not liking feeling this weak and generally not feeling good. So after 14 days and 6 hours, I broke my fast wt raw nuts n seeds.

I’ve lost in total 7.8kg (17lbs). The next 5-10 days Im going on mostly raw food wt steamed veggies and legumes. I’m vegan.

Hey Guys, it has been a couple of days. Been pretty busy at work. I’m still at it. Currently at 14 days and officially halfway there. I weighed and measured myself today. I’m down another 5.4 pounds this past week. I am also down another 6.5 inches overall. I was concerned about the low weight loss, but happy overall seeing the drop in inches. I’m still doing good, no hunger, energy leveling out (still on the low side though), but I do notice all the food commercials and would like some lol.

Congrats to @Shankari_Nagendran and @Overcomer, you’ve both reached great milestones and made significant progress in improving your health. I live vicariously through you all since you will get to eat soon lol.

Day 12/21- Last three days have had very modest weigh loss, but I see major differences in my body. @Shankari_Nagendran Woohoo 14 days! I don’t know what that feels like yet. @Overcomer Feel better! And Congratulations! @Mizqtpye I am behind you by a couple of days, and so glad to hear you are doing well.

I agree with @Tenax. For myself, I break my fast with vegetable and beef soup because I want to start getting protein into my body as fast as possible to feed those stem cells.

As for the nausea, I believe its from the detoxification. From my experience even though the majority of toxins released from fat gets expelled from the body through breath and urine it leaves a residue that combined with acetone makes people nauseous. Near the end of my 40-day last year I puked liquid from my esophagus 3 times and all three times I immediately felt better.

Hi everyone. I too had to break today my fast (day 14), because I kept feeling nauseous and today with stomach aches. But I am glad to achieve 14 days! I have lost 8 kg (on my second week I didn’t lose much). I broke my fast with spinaches with coconut oil, avocato, miso paste (that have probiotics and is salty) and organic pickles (didn’t find kimchi) . And some nuts. Now I feel better and so I think we have to listen to our body. I wish you all the best, keep strong!

Also, I forgot to add I actually lost 17 pounds during my fast, I also lost 3pounds a few days before due to going low carb to prepare for the fast. So 20 pounds loss this month, I know there will be some water weight included. Hopefully, I will be able to join the 4th of june group and do 5 to 7 days fast.
