Winter Solstice Slim Down - Greet Santa in your Skinny Suit!

Great to hear! Wicked progress thus far. Totally makes sense to not have energy for exercise… Anytime I’ve fasted for longer than 3 days I don’t have energy for much more than sitting on the couch. 21 days seems super human to me.

I’m just taking it day by day and pound by pound. I’m feeling pretty good, but starting to get a little hunger on day 4. I’m expecting tomorrow will be spent mostly laying around on the couch.

I’m planning to watch some inspirational/tough love fasting youtube today since I’m feeling a little weak, mentally. I’m hungry and that never helps.

Good job, @Sky! It’s tough to feel like eating but still hold off; anytime I feel that way and my schedule isn’t busy enough to distract me, it gets pretty hard to stick with it. We are rooting for you!

Fasting yesterday went pretty well-- I had good energy until I went for a run, and then afterwards was quite low energy and super cold! I slept deeply last night though, and am happy to be feeding today. Looking forward to fasting again tomorrow as well.

Hope everyone is well today!

Today feeling like a Saturday.

I want to be skinny in the waist for Santa.

I want to be in shape to take some super sexy photos of myself for my next birthday.

My waist is not cooperating. :joy:

I’ve only lost 5 inches in the waist. An inch a month.

It’s 42 inches now and I really need it to be under 38 and even better would be a 32, or even a 34 would suffice.

Good morning!

Holy crap. And by that I mean it’s Sunday and I had a bowel movement that really needed to happen.

  1. Toe in the water! I will go up on refeed but still.

Projects galore today.

Got lots of nifty finds at yard sales yesterday - now to put them to good use.

I feel my butt bones when I sit on a hard chair.

Ok on to getting stuff done!

Good morning!
On day 21 of the 50 for this challenge.

How’s everyone plugging along?

Home stretch kids!

5 days to refeed.

As the scale reads now I’m only 20lbs to possible goal weight.

And dang! 12 lbs to winter solstice goal! It’s sneaking up under the covers.

Still uncertain about the next move after the next refeed. Maybe go back to the 48’s and 72’s or just bang out a 14 day. I got a love hate going on with these longer fasts.

Starting to see some baggy skin - it’s not keeping up.

I am however enjoying that small arch just below my ribcage that no longer resembles a straight tube.

I’m working on convincing myself it’s a good thing the Covid is still inhibiting things so I can lay low on the big cooking thing and get back to fasting sooner.

You’re so amazing! Isn’t it interesting that everybody loses weight from different areas at different rates?! Though, it does seem to be pretty standard for the tummy to be last. I lose my breasts before my tummy. I hope you have a lot of fun with all those coconuts!

The neighbor went outside to look. Apparently there’s about 10 more coconuts on the ground. That’s going to be a lot of work trying to shuck those down. LOL

Need to hire someone

So I broke my fast at 17 days. Seems to be my magic number?

Weighed in at 160 today.

For this challenge of 50 fasting days I now have 27 more fasting days to complete.

Just had a lunch and may just have some watermelon this evening.

Total rainy poop kind of day.

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well with life, their goals, etc.

Sorry to ghost for a bit-- left town for a week, spent a lot of time outside and away from cell service. It was a total treat. Excited now to get back to life and regular fasting.

@Miramar, congrats on your 17 days! And your amazing progress. Only 27 more days for you-- you’re almost over the halfway mark!

Found a rack to fit in a wine cooler I got for 25 bucks. Just waiting on a thermometer and some self burping lids and I’m going to be fermented.

I can fit 11 pints in. The spot where the light is (that will be turned off - it’s in the front with temp control) I’ll stick a thermometer. Can’t fit a jar in that spot.

The last batch of kimchi really stunk up my little kitchen and regular fridge.

Have just enough room on top to slide a silverware tray - can stick utensils in there, and that will give me more drawer space. The drawer is way too heavy right now.

Maybe Velcro a thin piece of panel to the front to black it out. Could make it a chalkboard or something. Hmmm.

Anyway should keep my warm apartment from fermenting too quickly. And hopefully stave off the fruit flies.

It doesn’t get as cold as a regular refrigerator.

A six can beer/drink fridge can go for $50 on Amazon.

And the 6 bottle wine cooler I got goes for $100 or more.

I have a plug in cooler, but the smell would most definitely come out and the temp can’t be controlled.

Anyway, I think I’m heading to bed. I need a good energy booster tomorrow. Lots of physical stuff to do.

Hope everyone is well here! Looks like it’s been quiet for a few days…

Ramping up the fasting frequency for the month, as I’m preparing for the holidays and getting psyched for birthday goals. Fasting M/W/F is the plan… nothing compared to the extended fasts that many here accomplish, but will be something that I feel really happy about come the solstice.

@Miramar, I hope the refeed is going well and that you’re feeling great about your last fast!

I’m still here!

Still working on cleaning out the leftovers and ready to start letting go of the pantry supplies here for emergency.

I’ll be posting more soon! :slightly_smiling_face:

Still alive :joy:.

Holy crap I don’t know if I’m going to make it through this challenge. But I need to muster up the effort to try my best.

The energy in the air with all going on has been nonconducive to the spinsters fasting lifestyle.

I had a successful omad day so I’m grateful for that. I actually feel really full atm too - but give that salad another hour to settle down and I’ll be scrambling for watermelon.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a bad rain day. May have a pretend sick day and just curl up on the couch.

It’s crazy stressful right now!
I almost never drink. Like a few times per year at most.
I went into a bar last night, Had two vodka-soda’s in a matter of twenty minutes and went home. Didn’t feel drunk… just relaxed. I needed it. Never thought I would be the person that says “I need a drink”… but last night I was that person! :joy:

Feel better this morning but it’s still a cluster out there.

This holiday season is going to be a rough one, no doubt.

Maybe it will settle in February?? Maybe…

Don’t totally give up, Miramar. I’m not! But calling this a “challenge” is LEGIT.

Soooooo happy I fasted all day yesterday and just did an evening meal.

I have managed to get too much clutter going in my apartment - a mere week after the dinner party.

Just spent 2 hours measuring and trying to figure out a new arrangement.

Drinking water atm and deciding what to tackle. I think it’s going to be the kitchen.

I ordered one of those fancy toaster ovens that has rotisserie and air-fry, dehydrator… Etc.

Gotta figure out where it’s going.

Have a simple toaster oven but won’t give that up until I am happy with this new thing.

Need to clear out some kitchen utensils, ugh. That’s it. Kitchen getting ripped apart. Going to pull out a flip up table and everything getting pulled out. This is enough to keep me from eating today :joy:.

Leaving OMAD option up for grabs for tonight. I have one more salad in the fridge. It’ll last a few more days. Hmm.

Ok, find a better show or music for background and just make myself start moving.

Hello hello!

The unplanned food bender is over and doing OMAD today and would love to push into a 48 hour this week.

Last night was the full beaver moon  - I think I needed that to happen so I could get back to business. Plenty of days left to fast for this challenge.
