Winter Solstice Slim Down - Greet Santa in your Skinny Suit!

I’m good today!

Headache is done.

I did a lot of 5 day fasts so day 3 -5 is a cakewalk.

My first fast which was 17.5 days is all I have to go on as far as how I was feeling - but I have a feeling this one will go smoother.

I’m a lot more active already this time - know better how to pace myself and I am lighter to begin with. Much easier to start with 40+ lbs less to lug around.

The energy level picks up, and the clarity definitely.

I read some of a book this morning, got motivated. Planted some seeds, went through my wallet and got a couple of bills paid. Called an accountant - have had the number for months but was delaying it and finally made the call.

I’m declaring this fast “the brain purge fast”

Working on taking care of things that have been taxing my mind.

I’ve had no craving or food thoughts.

I like to make new things cooking - and have an abundance of ingredients, but just going to make notes on what to try when it’s feeding time again.

Going easier on the water intake. Temperatures are not like they were 2 months ago and I’m feeling more at ease.

Good morning all!

173.5 today on my second morning weigh in. In the past 10 days I went up and back down 11 lbs🤣. I had decided to do a 21 day before I got on the scale and actually saw what was going on. But I could feel the bloating and my size 14s were getting tight.

Removing the fat clothes are really going to be key in maintenance.

After today I’ll have 40 more fasting days for this challenge.

Back on track to accomplish goals before Christmas!

Laying on the couch and sweating doing nothing. Not uncomfortable, just an observation. It is a bit warmer out again today.

I feel like it’s a Saturday or Sunday.

LOL… I often get confused about what day it is nowadays!! I’d say it “feels like the weekend” more often than not. :joy:

I’m sorry, I need to share this picture all over today

A pictures worth less calories.

This has been an insane drop for less than 5 days. 15 lbs.

No coffee, no tea, just spring water.

So I’m going to consider it 1.5 lbs of fat from the 171 I saw in the last 2 weeks and the rest water and bowels.

I’m in the 60’s! Hurray!!!

168 today.

Finished round 1 of my 10 lb challenge. Only took a month. Started round 2.

5 days done on the 21 day challenge. 16.5 lb drop so far.

11 days done of 50 for this challenge. I’m beginning to see a clearer picture of what I need to do for scheduling fast and feasting days.

I will be wearing size 12 by Christmas :star_struck::star_struck::star_struck:

There’s a similar drop on my first fast, but I didn’t expect to see that again.

But I’ll take it!

It’s sure to start slowing by tomorrow.

Holy 19 pounds (i think ~ 8-9 kg, its roughly 2.2/pound) in a week! Ouch my jaw just hit the floor!

Also getting close to “normal” BMI! @Miramar

I expect gain back on the refeed of course, but yeah, shocked myself.

I still have 2 more weeks of fasting to go. :joy:

19 lbs in 6 days is astonishing. I guess you were holding on to a lot of water weight and maybe quite a bit of inflammation, too. Are you feeling good? Were you having any sore joints that maybe have resolved with all that loss?

You’re really inspiring me. I got off track after a little vacation in Sept and regained 12 lbs rather than the 5 I had planned to regain. This is in no way a contest however knowing that you were about 10 lbs heavier than I was and now are a few lbs lighter than I was seems to have gotten my lazy self in gear to fast and lose some more weight. I don’t think I can catch up with you, but it’s a motivation to have you in front of me just a few pounds lighter to try to catch up to. You are far more disciplined than I. I also hung some pants up on the wall that I want to be able to wear by Thanksgiving. You inspired me when you had those shorts hung up in your bathroom…shorts I’m guessing are now baggy.

I’m on day 3 (of 5-10, not sure yet) and have lost 7.5 lbs so I was pretty bloated, myself. I’m at 167. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost these same pounds from 170 to 160 at least a half dozen times in the past couple years. I’d like this to be the last time. I’d like to visit the 150s and 140s for a change.

When I wear them a couple of days they are sagging slightly, but not falling off in the store when I put my wallet and phone in the back pocket and keys in the front.

I have a small size 14 pink capris I grabbed at a yard sale - not really cozy yet, and I did pick up two pairs of overpriced shorts at Macy’s - size 14 and 12. Because it pushes me to get there.

I need to do a preliminary closet clean out so I can see what I have room for and what is going to have to go to the tailor.

I have a friend whose mom passed and she’s sending me her mom’s shorts and some tops.

Just preparing for what’s to come. And need to toss or donate those old 16’s and what ever is too big.

There’s a story in Napoleon Hill about soldiers going to war taking a ship to get there, and when they got to shore they burned the ship so there was no option to retreat. They won their battle.

I can’t go back. I need to lose this and keep it off.

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well.

@Miramar, huge props on your progress thus far! Sounds like your body is responding well to fasting and shedding things quickly. I’m happy for you! How are you feeling?

How is everyone else doing this week? What are the plans?

I am fasting today, and again on Thursday. These 36hr fasts are nice, as they don’t affect my exercise or work too much, but help me continue to progress. The slower progress but more gentle approach is good for me-- I can still exercise and make good progress with work, and don’t get myself into a primal hunger state.

Im doing good!

I do have some flabby butt starting though and will need to start firming that up🤣.

I don’t really have energy for exercise right now. It’s going to have to happen on feeding days.
