Day 2 complete.

I only lost 1.6 lbs. Maybe because of the amount of tea and coffee I drank. I can’t stomach unsweetened coffee, so am drinking coffee with a bit of sugar. Anyway, a loss is a loss.

You are right; a loss is a loss. At this point, we are exercising our fasting muscles. Do what you can to get through without eating for now, I won’t weigh myself often as it can be off putting for me. Keep going, you are doing well. :pray:t4:

Hi! I wanted to share that peppermint, chamomile, and ginger teas are great for fasting. I was feeling hungry and nauseous, but after having these teas, I feel fine.

Right, I didn’t know about the other 2 but ginger tea has been really helpful. The nausea is real :sleepy:

Lost a pound which is okay with me. It’s more about consistency and building our fasting muscles than anything else.

I am so happy for making it this long. Having someone to fast with is great.

Your weight is going in the right direction so good news.

So, I bought some peppermint tea bags, and chamomile tea bags, then I put one each in a large mug with hot water and grated some ginger in it. It helped a lot and the concoction is good for the liver as a cleanse. :pray:t4:

Great. I’m going to buy the peppermint & chamomile teas today and try this out. I have always had fears that gaining this much weight has messed my liver.

I was supposed to refeed tonight, but I have decided to extend my fast by 24 hours. I initially planned to go out for a meal on Sunday night and break my fast on Saturday evening to prepare. However, now I will break my fast on Sunday evening instead since I am going out for a meal on Monday night. It is quite hard because I set my mind on refeeding tonight then plans changed :joy:. I will survive. :pray:t4:

So far this was the hardest day. I kept thinking about food every second and felt really hungry.

I’m glad I managed to push through.
My periods started and maybe this explains why I was so hungry and why i have been losing weight so slowly.
I will not be weighing again until my periods are done since the weight will be all over the place.

Fasting while on periods is really tough. I am feeling really weak (even tea/coffee/electrolytes do not seem to help). If I continue feeling this weak, I may break my fast tomorrow and refeed for 2 days then get back on it.

Day 5 done.

I was so hungry and slept almost the whole day.
I will have one meal today and one tomorrow then will start another fast. I feel so dizzy and weak.

I have started refeeding slowly, as going for meal tomorrow so I will start again on Tuesday. This is a good start. Hope you feel better. :pray:t4:

You are right, it’s a good start considering I haven’t been able to fast for more than 24 hours in a very long time.
