I’ve had easier day ones, but it’s nothing terrible. My plan after work is to clean out my fridge and pantry, go for a walk in the rain, and head to bed early. See you tomorrow!

Today is a beautiful day. It’s raining hard and I’m working away while sipping on my cold cucumber tea. I feel hungry, yet bloated from all the tea and water I’ve been drinking. My plan after work is to attend a 7:30pm spin class and go at my own pace, continue reading my novel (Love in the Time of Cholera), and then have my introductory call with Yasemin! I’m so excited to be able to have her as a coach. That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

Today is a beautiful day to fast. The plan today is to stay hydrated, pick up some ACV to help with the acid reflux, and have a great day, generally. I have a lot of things to get through, which should keep me busy up until our fasting round kick off call at 8:30pm. After that, I’m headed out for a cute late night date around the city, which sparkles on summer nights. That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

Totally went rogue last night and had an impulsive meal. Won’t beat myself up for it, but writing it here for accountability! Next time I really have to slow things down and ride the wave, as they say. Today’s plan is OMAD as I have out-of-town visitors this weekend. It will be keto/low-carb and I will log the calories prior to eating. Wooo! That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

Totally thought my weight would spike and it didn’t! Originally, I had planned for this to be my last OMAD day and start my water fast tomorrow, but I thought, screw it. Why not start today? I sat at brunch with my coffee while my friends at. I’m so proud of myself. Today is Day 1, baby. That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

As mentioned, I started my Water Fast a day early so today is Day 2! Everyone says that after days 3-5, you begin to coast. My weekend visitors brought me tons of snacks, so I also packed up those up, along with food from my pantry and fridge and drove it over to my darling cousin. No temptations!

I’m excited to join the calls today as they’re such a welcome distraction. That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

Today is day 3 of my Water Fast! I’m just 3 pounds away from a ‘Normal’ BMI. Last night after going through my closet, my ~skinny~ clothes were picked out and put in a bag, thanks to an idea in our group chat. The clothes that technically fit but the straps are digging into you, or you gotta really suck in to close zip up that last centimetre. Excited to pull those out at the end of the month.

Tonight I plan to hit a spin class and go super slow, at my own pace, but I just love the energy, the music, seeing the girls. That’s that for now, see you tomorrow!

I have today marked as ‘The Hump’ on my calendar, so I’ll be thrilled when I’m over it. It’s day 4 of my Water Fast and officially marks a new fasting personal record! I was up and at 'em at 5:30am today, so unusual for a non-morning person like me.

Lots to look forward to today:

  • The group call after not having a video call yesterday
  • A 1-on-1 check in with Yasemin
  • A brisk rollerblade through the park this evening
  • Getting over the goddamn hump. Everyone says it’s breezy after day 5 and the promise of that is pushing me forward.

Manifestations: (Because I don’t want to call it symptoms)

  • Light headed from the moment I got out of bed
  • Acid reflux, I feel it in my stomach and throat
  • Sloooooooow mooooooving

Today is day 5 and it sucks, like majorly sucks. Had a hard time getting out of bed at finally yanked myself out at 9am. I can only walk around at a glacial pace. Where is the euphoria everyone speaks of! :stuck_out_tongue: I’m just gonna suck it up, dig deep, and move on.

Manifestations:

  • Exhaustion
  • Upset stomach
  • Tingly limbs

Every fast is different.

It was either my second or third fast when I got a super high I hadn’t experienced before. And then it almost can turn into chasing the dragon :rofl:.

I am officially back into the normal BMI range and I couldn’t be more thrilled!!! I never thought this day would come so quickly after I spent the better part of a year in the 160s. Onto day 6 of my water fast, I’m proud of myself for sticking it out this long. It also seems as though the day 5 suck is behind me. Functioning as per usual. Potassium and magnesium will be introduced as supplements tonight. I’ve also made clearcut plans for the next couple days that get me out of the house (but away from food), so I’m set to head into the weekend!

Manifestations:

  • Bloated belly, feels full of water.

Nothing else today!

Edit: Update - there was a presentation with lunch today at work. The aromas from the lounge were so tantalizing. I walked past each dish and inhaled and twirled my way out of there. FU animal brain.

Today is day 7 of my water fast. Spent all day outdoors in the scorching sun. My body did not like that one bit. Had to really take it slow, especially on the stair climbs. Also felt dehydrated so I took salt (too much) and gave myself a bellyache :upside_down_face:. Ah well, the next day will be better.

Manifestations

  • Slow moving
  • Dizzy
  • Easily winded

Great job getting over the Day 5-7 hurdle! How do you feel about possibly extending your fast beyond your original timeframe?

What a monumental achievement! I hope your fasting continues to be successful. Have you found that the electrolytes help? I absolutely have to take supplements or I have all sorts of unhealthy manifestations. If I’m extremely weak I’ll also take exogenous ketones and they usually give me a boost. Good luck on your continued success and keep us updated. You’re an inspiration!

Thanks Kristy! I truly can’t believe I made it this far, this is my first extended fast but this community has been a source of strength.

The magnesium puts me right to sleep and I get a good 7 hours, and potassium helps me with cramps.

I’ll definitely keep posting. Enjoy your day :slight_smile:

Whoop whoop, made it to day 8!!! For some reason, 145 was such a magical number for me, it’s what I sat at in university. I’ll celebrate this achievement and I’m thankful for every day I make it through. Today I’m doing work at my favourite cafe, a family-owned joint with delectable treats and savoury indulgences (I won’t name them). I walked right past the display and ordered an unsweetened iced green tea and grabbed a spot on the patio. Enjoying the sun as we speak.

Looking forward to hopping back on the check-in calls today as we had yesterday off.

I’ve also started planting TREATS at meaningful points of my fast. Yesterday was my first treat day, I bought new sunglasses and a waist pack that I’d been eyeing for ages. The next treat day is on day 12 (round 3 kick-off).

Manifestations

  • Improved mood, sense of peace
  • Autopilot
  • No cravings
  • Sensitivity to smell
  • Still slow to get out of bed
