Hello everyone! Feeling fine today, felt like my reactions and body movements were a bit slower than usual but nothing too dramatic. Understandable so not too worried about it! Made it through the day perfectly fine with no temptations or thoughts to cheat — except for one when my friend drove through the chic fil a drive thru and it smelled delicious! Didn’t hesitate to say no when she offered and was easy to decline the offer which I’m proud about and realizing now!

Mood is good, slept in today and felt GREAT!

Day 1: 142 lb
Day 2: 140.6 lb
Day 3: 139.8 lb

Had a horrible nights sleep last night, woke up every couple of hours and was hard to fall back asleep. Don’t feel good this morning either, feels like I need to puke and feel really hot… not sure what to do about this. Anyone experience this/know what will help? Good news though is I’m down to 138 lb this morning!

Day 1: 142 lb
Day 2: 140.6 lb
Day 3: 139.8 lb
Day 4: 138 lb

The body’s going through an adjustment period. If this is the farthest you’ve ever gotten fasting, your body is learning how to run on fat only. You’re not alone in going through these symptoms. I chose to tough it out but I had specific medical reasons for doing so. I’ll tag @Yasemin as she should be able to provide help.

Good morning! Day 5 and feeling great! Realized I was low on electrolytes so started my morning off with a cup of water lemon juice and salt. Need to do this more often!
Felt great stepping on the scale today and weighing in at 135 lb!!! Keeps me motivated weighing myself every morning and seeing myself in the mirror.

Woke up feeling a lot better than I did yesterday, so a lot happier today as well

Forgot to mention had a lot of dreams last night of breaking my fast and regretting it right after :joy: funny that the temptation is in my dreams more than in real life

Hi everyone! Day 6 has been great, little bit of a headache but nothing terrible. Been drinking a lot more water now with lemons and think that’s been helping! Or at least that’s when I noticed I’ve been feeling less light headed and nauseous.

Dog sitting for a girl friend and she doesn’t have a scale at her house so will be doing a weigh in tomorrow night when I get back to my own home.

Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend :sunny:

Good morning!

I’ve made it to 7 days, and also the end of my water fast.

Weighed in today at 132.6 lb and am loving how I look and feel! Thank you guys so much for all the help and motivation. Heading to California on Friday so going to spend the next few days slowly refeeding and working out as much as my body can handle!

Congrats!

Hi, i been wondering to do this challenge for the first time, but the resistance comes to me often.

What do you struggle the most when fasting? Would you consider that your election to do fasts its only for the weight benefits? Do you know a tool that mixes fasting, meditation and awareness?

Hi!

Sorry for the late response — was on vacation!

I mainly did it for the weight loss purpose but also have done it for my metabolism, and a sense of ‘restarting’ my system. Also like the idea of it I me cleanse with all the toxins and the autophagy boost.

I haven’t had many problems with temptation as if I want to do something, and I’m set on it, my mentality is a big driver!

But, in social settings I do tend to trip up as I’m scared of being rude or disrespectful when I don’t want to eat someone’s food they made for me in their home.

Let me know if you have any other questions or anything I can help you with!

I’m starting a fast tomorrow to really cleanse my system after being on vacation for a week

When you fast for more than one day, do you keep a log ?

Do you use any supplements to help you achieve your day to day goals?

Whats does a fast state feel to you?

in my case it’s so clear, process i like to achieve, sharper thoughts

I’m gonna start my fast on some hours also.

best.

  1. I’ve kept a daily log since I began my journey on August 9, 2019 and a spreadsheet to track my stats.

  2. Only supplements are the required ones for electrolytes: salt, potassium & magnesium. I added Vitamin D for SARS-CoV-2 on the recommendation of a respected research scientist.

  3. It depends on the state of your health when you go into fasting. When I was reversing/curing my metabolic diseases it was a different experience than the one I’m having now striving for a “6-pack at 60.”

Nice! thanks! would you care to share that study? perhaps more people could be benefit as well

At the request of @JJ_Rdz, I’m making this information as widely available as possible. Dr. Rhonda Patrick is a respected research scientist who has several YouTube channels where she interviews other research scientists in way to make it understandable to non-medical professionals. She worked with Dr Saatchin Panda at the Salk Institute.

For myself, after watching this podcast I’ve been taking the 5000 IU daily dose of Vitamin D myself to help protect me against SARS-CoV-2.
