March 23rd Starters! @Michelle

Today is Day Two for me. I plan to continue through the end of March.

One of my goals is to establish a regular fasting schedule that includes an extended fast every month. The past couple of weeks were not that great, so I am dedicated now with a positive attitude to finish March strong. :muscle: :grinning:

It’s so hard right now to have kids in the home 24/7. :pensive: I have a 5 and 2 year old…

Awesome! It’s nice to stay busy when you can!

If you’ve done 5 you should be able to do 21. Speaking from experience of 4, 5, 7, 21 & 40. Currently on Day 3 of my 2nd 21 day for this year.

I work in the food industry and today has been so stressful I want to resort to eating food😫

I’ll start, day 1 of 70-100. Can’t decide how many days I want to go

I bailed out last fast after 7 days - nausea, acid reflux, lack of sleep. I blame the way I approached the fast. Very little water, salts and a whole lot of acid reflux which lead to heart burn which went away weeks later after I took a heartburn supplement. I guess I have a lot of reading to do.

Hi everyone! I’m all in and I truly appreciate being added to such an awesome group for support and accountability! I started last night, I plan on going 5 days minimum but ideally would like to go longer. The longest I’ve made it has been 96 hours I always cave on the 4th day, hoping being a part of this support chat will help me push passed that :sunflower::heart:

I’m in! I’m starting this evening going until Friday.

  1. Stay busy going to work (I’m an essential worker), reading, writing (mostly poetry)/calligraphy, clay scrulpting. Spending time with my sweetheart , exercising.

  2. Positive affirmation: The best in life is yet to come, never give up hope.

  3. I have researched, but I haven’t gotten a green light from my doctor. I’m not fasting for too long, so I’m not really worried about having to get a green light. Besides I probably know more about fasting, protecting myself from viruses then he does, LOL.

I can sympathize. My primary doctor was skeptical. It was a blessing in disguise as I now consult with an Endocrinologist from the Medical School at the University of Southern California on a weekly basis.

That must be really hard. I actually find it easier to bake for people in my home when trying to not eat since it think of it as still providing time for myself with food, and i get my satisfaction through it by giving it to my family and through smelling and seeing it. Just really slow your thinking down and understand you can have it in a week, and it’ll taste even better then(; You can do this!

Oops, made a mistake I can’t start my fast until tomorrow evening. So I will start it tomorrow evening and go until Friday evening or 72 hours :+1::smiley:

Started today. I still want to do 21 days. I did 16 days last year so I know I can do 21. I will continue to update in this thread.

After so many failures back to back… I think I need to think about the reason for the same… I think I am not starting it in a proper manner… So now i have decided that I will go for omad for a week and then from 1st of April I will start my extended water fast… Do u think this strategy will work???

Glad you took time out for a assessment. Sounds like a good plan.

I had a similar thing happen to me when for 4 consecutive days I couldn’t get past Day 1 on a new 7-day fast. At first, I thought it was a failure of willpower. Then a friend pointed out that it was probably my body screaming for a longer break. I realized she was right because I had been fasting in various formats for 41 straight days since I started my customized treatment protocol. As as a result I extended my 3-day ReFeed to a 9-day ReFeed. After that, and consulting with my endocrinologist, I then successfully completed the 40-day water fast.

Will start on 25 night. I’m completely out of wagon. Will build up day by day!

Unfortunately, I had to break my fast with coconut flakes as my health got worse and started feeling dizzy, hopefully after a healthy refeed for a while I can get back on. I’m so disappointed but as I live alone I have to be extremely careful. I will be back.

Sorry to hear that. You are smart to recognize your unique situation and adapt to it. Just remember persistence is the name of the game.
