ibuprofen is harsh on the stomach.
My stomach has never had an issue with it.
I am however ok atm, so should have something in my stomach by the time I use it.

Just got back from the store. Still missing some things, but can make it through today I think.

Broth is warming on the stove. Sliced up half an avocado. And finally having ice tea!

Will be infusing water with the cucumber for later. :grin:

Good morning fabulous fasters!

First day after refeed: 194.5 - no gain no loss.

There was a lot of salt in my meal yesterday and I really thought I’d gain but I guess I’m still burning a bit.

Getting out early to get stuff at the store I couldn’t get yesterday. Can’t find a grapefruit and I live in Florida :rofl:

Making a tea from the peels and pith.

Stomach up to old tricks trying to tell me it’s hungry. She’s gonna have to wait till 1.

Yes, like there is a 3 day transition period from glycolysis to gluconeogenesis its about the same time period in reverse when you end a fast and go into refeed.

Still drinking but it’s Tea now. Lots and lots of tea.

Just had some watermelon and half an avocado. Got more broth on the burner.

Bought a rotisserie chicken yesterday (they are $5) and going to strip off the meat and get more home bone broth going.

Going to make some fresh pickles for the fridge.

Got a head of Napa cabbage and need to maybe pickle some or freeze for later cooking. Tossed a couple of leaves on my broth with more mushrooms :blush:

Ate during 4 hours of my six. I eat slow and trying to up my intake but iced coffee shot right through me and spent some time visiting the loo.

Went to the beach hoping to catch some sandfleas for morning surfcasting but they were all babies and not big enough to hook.

The ocean water was like a warm bath!

I was exhausted after and sweating from raking.

Will buy a bag of the fleas tomorrow and go fishing early.

Tomorrow I get to add more things to eat. Really do want to up my calories a bit more.

Feeling a tad sore. Doing some stretching and fishing tomorrow will be good activity and vitamin D.

Called and got in this morning for my pedicure!

Got home, proceeded to get some food, grazed a while and I think I got too carbed out from grapes and green juice. Felt tired after eating and had to rest.

When I got up had to think about dinner as I have a 7pm window.

Stuffed from dinner, couldn’t finish. The rest will be a nice lunch tomorrow.

Tomorrow my list allowed greatly increases. Day after that says Eggs and some additional cheese options open up. And day after that is a meat day! YaY. Already know I’m having either salmon or tilapia with capers and butter sauce. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m digging the bone broth soups I’ve been making. The neighbor tried my soup tonight and thought it tasted like there was cheese in it. And he loved it. That may have to be a regular thing on my menu.

We are back up a lb, which is expected.

Nothing else exciting planned today so I’m going to give the universe a day off and watch some YouTube.

Just had a yogurt and half a jello cup.

My stomach is just not feeling it today.

Maybe stick with simple broth today. Might try dropping an egg in for some fat.

197 today. That’s a 2.5 lb total rise.

We are on day 5 of the refeed. Going for a nice salad, more watermelon, and going to try a piece of fish today…:heart_eyes:

Debating a shift in the eating window.

I’m a little hungry every morning, but fear if I start eating too early it will just make me more hungry the rest of the day.

Nah. Trust your hunger.

In studies of people who missed breakfast, they found they ate their normal lunches and dinners. Another piece of evidence that eating is habitual and we eat too much.

Been snacking on watermelon through the afternoons.

It’s wicked hot out here today. Like step outside and sweat just rolls out.

They are starting to impose mandatory masks in Florida. Hasn’t hit my county yet but I hope it does soon. It would definitely make shopping more at ease.

Thinking about a nice seafood broth for 6pm.

This chicken bone broth will be ready tomorrow night.

Added some carrots and celery to get some nice jelly in there.

Good morning!
A good day for some more bone broth.

198 today. Up 3.5 lbs. I had quite a bit to eat yesterday, so I’m ok with that.

Salmon went down beautifully, and no issues. Photos in the refeed thread if anyone is interested.

This morning I’m really wanting my coffee and creamer. I may need to do that and see what happens. Still trying to keep that feeding window down to 1-7.

Ok, won’t know until I try. And maybe it’ll be ok🤣

Up to 199 this morning.

Yesterday I peeled some grapefruit rinds to make a tonic. Had all the inside fruit left over and decided to go ahead and snack on that - it’s almost done.

The tonic makes a quinine which aids in the zinc absorbing into cells and helping immune system.

Had a eggdrop soup broth for lunch, and was late getting dinner together after a web conference.
That was creamed spinach and crusted tilapia. It’s crusted using frenches fried onions. Got very full on finishing. That was likely the most carb dense crust type thing I’ve had this week. It was delicious and so filling at the same time. Feeling like eating much lighter today. In fact, almost feel like jumping back into a several day fast. But want to see Saturday out at least. Thinking to delay my Sunday brunch plan. I’m full right now just thinking about it.

Also need to reassess the emergency food situation. Our numbers are climbing here in Florida. Planning to go nowhere for another couple of months. I have to plan for hurricane provisions as well as it’s a worse zoo at the store when those are announced. Boxed organic bone broth definitely going on the list as fridge and freezer can’t be trusted during a hurricane.

Just becomes very annoying with all the prepping. My shopping day is Friday so I start the list today.

Today I had a yogurt, handful of olives, coffee with cream, an avocado, a 3 egg omelette with cream cheese and crab, 3 mini tangelos, a piece of dark chocolate and that grapefruit this morning. Had a diet soda too. Should have skipped that. I could really taste the sweetener in it.

I’m feeling uncomfortable atm. In the past that menu would have been doubled or at least with some toast and cocktails. Lol. Trying to drink tea and water but so parched. And too full to drink. And that was done by the 7pm cut off ( except the chocolate). Now 9:54 here and I’ve got the AC on. I want to peel my skin off my bones and throw the belly fat on the floor.

Just took a heartburn pill. So wish I could just sleep. My body is furious with me. :rofl::joy::cry::crazy_face:🤦

Ok, meditation time to calm things down.

I get a do over today. Thank goodness for that.

Feeling better this morning. Feeling like I pulled a muscle somewhere in my stomach.

Feeling like I had that surgery to tighten my stomach and too full to eat or hesitant to over eat.

Skipping the coffee this morning and just having tea.

Broth day for sure.

That was horrible last night. going to take it easy today.

Just had something that was a happy accident.

I’d put too much ACV in the last batch of bone broth, but after doing some magic it tastes like Chinese hot and sour soup!

Had half the pot, and some tea with a splash of lemonade.

Having some beet and goat cheese salad a bit later, and contemplating a glass of wine with that. And that will do it for the day.

Feeling very high energy today. Excited to go shopping tomorrow and bang the list out quickly.
