  1. Been easing in gently and tossing out or getting rid of anything processed or with sugar.

Yesterday was the first day I believe where I pretty much fasted the entire day (had 2 cups of coffee) and late last night had a couple of pieces of cheese, and was going to have salmon but I was too tired to eat and it was very late. Need to eat something this morning as I want to go donate and need the protein in me.

Shopping day! Lots of eggs and hopefully will find steaks on sale.

Picking up some confidence and steam! Oh my goodness. 214.5 Wow, managed over 20 lbs down from the 236, and that was with a good deal of non effort bad eating days.

Had a MONSTER steak last night. And a quarter stick of butter. :joy: Need to work up to a stick. I know that must sound nasty, but need the fats with my protein. One meal. It was later than I wanted to eat though.

Took me a full hour to get the steak eaten.

Very filling. Feel my stomach emptying but not at all hungry.

Haven’t donated for 2 weeks now - but going over today so will have some bacon and eggs after coffee hour and go get some money so I can afford this meat thing. lol.

The hard core carnivores like to emphasis the toxins that plants make. The hard core vegans like to emphasis the bad about meat. Both seem to agree about the issues with processed foods and fake sugars. I’m hoping to find some kind of happy medium in the end, but for now I need to give full attention to the carnivore just for the experience and process. I’m a foodie. Not sure I can change that. But I can strive for the best clean eating habits in the end when maintenance finally shows up.

So here’s a “possible” issue. I’m not eating enough. Maybe this is temporary. I have completely lost my appetite and this is affecting me going in for a donation.

Bit of a headache this morning.

I feel more like fasting than eating at all. Had 6 little horderve meat and cheese roll up things last night and that was it. Not enough for donating plasma. Trying not to fight myself and go with the flow, but annoyed I can’t go donate.

I am losing, and I have to say it’s much easier doing the zero carb thing for my OMAD. Not as cheap, but definitely not hungry all day.

I joined a carnivore group and it seems like they’re pushing towards eating throughout the day. I can’t even imaging trying to eat all day with just meat. It fills me up. May experiment with a 4 hour window or something. Still trying to find a balannce.

Headache has passed! Pretty sure that was then end of carbs leaving me.

Today’s goals - get car cleaned out and re-do my apartment. Complete turn around of furniture. May not get to the car until tomorrow.

Did some of my number crunching last night. Need to get in 142g of protein at minimum, and figure out getting the rest of the fat in. Looking like it’ll be cream butter and cheese for the most part.

After 2 weeks I finally got over to donate some plasma. Needed a nap when I got home.

My numbers were all good going in.

Nothing else to report - except it’s hard eating a lb and a half of meat a day. Some days I just want to be fasting the whole day. lol I may get back to that by the end of the month.

Going to post some things here for my own reference as I still feel very safe on this forum and not judged.

I started the carnivore thing about a week ago. About 4 days ago had a big headache day - thinking that was a transition headache. But after that for the last 3 days I am having body aches all over and up my back. That is getting slightly better every day.

Weird pain on the outer sides of my knees when I put pressure there. I know, stop pressing my knees :joy:

From what I’m reading I should be accrediting my aches and pains to oxalate dumping. Never felt these kinds of pains from pure fasting. However you would expect it as fasting is the most complete elimination diet there is. Could be my age. Who freaking knows at this point. lol

I’m thinking my current plan is closer to carnivore adjacent.

The more I read the more confused I get.

Oh! Once I get back below 175 lbs the amount of plasma they take from me goes down considerably but I still get paid the same. AND next appointment I’m getting a hep B shot and will get more per donation. Very happy about that.

69 lbs to go, Woot! That is totally doable before the end of this year. I SOOOO have this this time. I am so disturbingly sober. lol

I wound up fasting with an OMAD day yesterday . Was just too full to eat. Forced down some salmon and 2 eggs for dinner but couldn’t finish the plate. Tomorrow will be a plasma day so will need to figure out a couple of meals for today. Thinking I want to go back to fasting Fridays. And perhaps add in fasting Tuesdays. I seem to have no appetite the day after donating. It’s still enough time to ramp back up before the next donation and everything is protein so it’s absorbed right away.

Been completely rearranging my apartment and getting spring cleaning in.

A little sad. Cleaned off the book case, and I have a LOT of cookbooks. With lots of non-carnivore.

I’ve been doing well sticking to the carnivore, but finding it difficult to get enough food down - or as much as I’m being told I should be eating.

Yes, I’m losing weight - but feel like I’m doing something wrong.

And I’m just sad to think about the generation I was brought up in with all kinds of fun stuff food wise - and that the majority of it should all be eliminated forever.

Would I just get over it? I don’t know. Going to make some chaffles tonight. Maybe that will make me feel better.

Part of me just wants to indulge in a gummy and eat some vegetables. :joy:

I’m committed to the month with carnivore. I see all these happy carnivores on youtube. Licking their butter sticks.

Applying for some jobs and had to order some shoes on Amazon because I only wear flip flops :rofl:

Decided to have a look at swim suits and think I found something! The last suit I had that would have fit I left in Mexico on purpose. lol

I’ll be excited to have a new swim suit. Got a 16 - if it’s too small I know what to do, and if it’s too big I’ll be happy to send it back for a smaller size. If it fits right it should hold me over until August.

May have access to a pool in the next few weeks and I want to be ready.

Had corned beef and cabbage last night. Couldn’t help but to eat 1 baby carrot and a wedge of the cabbage.

I’m back up to 211 today. No surprise.

I’ve been drinking coffee still as well. Sigh. Carnivore truly feels harder than just fasting for days. At least with multi day fasting there are no temptations because you know there is no food involved. Adjusting a palate with no other flavors than just meats is frustrating.

Going to barrel past this slip up and focus on getting in another 20 days on this WOE.

Going to drink my coffee until it is gone.

Today I just rolled up last of my tobacco and that’s it. When it runs out I am done.

Serious meditation is needed to keep my ass in line and listen to the grown up Jill and not the badly programmed old Jill.

I may allow myself that Carnivore Adjacent thing - as there are fruits and roots allowed for a small portion of the diet and it can be used for an ultimate transition. The arguments for all meat are coming in stronger and stronger the deeper I dive. I keep looking for the excuse for some green vegetables and when I go back and weigh it out from my research the veggies are losing. :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:
I am seriously food grieving. I grieve the creamed spinach. I grieve corn. I grieve for chocolate cake - which I don’t even eat that much. I grieve holiday favorites and the breaking of traditions like black eye peas and collard greens for New Years.

With regular fasting it was easy to say to myself, “Oh yeah, when the fasting is done I can have that again sparingly.” But the carnivore doesn’t work that way. It’s just meat. and more meat. And still hungry? Have some more meat.
Really trying to figure out how to become excited about it. Foodie is just so sad.

Stopped smoking. Going good with that. Waiting for the massive freak out for me changing so much up all at once. :rofl: I’m just done with it. Don’t have the money or time for it and sticking with my goals for this year. Some things are meant to be cold turkey and for me smoking has to be one of them. It’s more of a physical addition for me - not the nicotine. Neighbor wanted to bum a couple of smokes off me yesterday morning and I had told him I was stopping 2 days ago. I had to chuckle lol because I do this and it’s like they don’t believe me.

210.5 Plasma place had me at 220 yesterday. Huge scale difference. Need to get to 174 to shorten my time and how much they take from me but I guess I need to see the 164 on my scale. How quickly can I get off the next 45lbs? My ambitious side would say I could kick that off by July at the earliest.

Donated plasma yesterday and got a Hep B shot for the program. It has the potential to increase my earnings an extra $20 a visit. Plus I never had this shot before and got paid to take it and get $200 for taking 10 days off before I can go back in to donate.

There will be 2 more shots coming with same rules - so YaY! I can slip in some fasting! Right now I’m not going back until next Friday. They will be testing my blood every week.

Off to drop some resumes, take some photos, and put together a new crabitat today!

I seem to be at a stuck point. As long as I’m not gaining I should be happy.
Been very frustrated the past few days with job searches.

Not smoking. Not drinking. No gummies.

Just meat, and more meat.

Tomorrow for Easter I may have a deviation day. Thinking ham and pineapple shish kebobs, deviled eggs, and maybe some califlower tots - homemade. Possibly a cocktail. It’s a tough call.

Drank coffee with cream yesterday and drank a diet pepsi and water. No “food”. Just one of those days where I was too busy to deal with stopping to eat and at the end of the day was just too tired to eat.

I was 209 on the first of the month. Really want to knuckle down and get 10 lbs done by the end of the month but that is not looking promising at the moment. Maybe I can muster out 5 lbs. I’m doing something wrong apparently.

Having my morning creamy coffee and then heading out to drop my resume a few places. Thinking the stress of job hunting is not letting me just lose weight.

Took an unplanned break the last couple of weeks. Will be fixing that over the next 10 days.

Have a donation day today, then will get a vaccination and will have 10 days off.

I had an issue last week. Pain around the gallbladder area. I think I may have moved a stone or something. lol So, been taking some apple cider vinegar in apple cider, and pain is less and less every day. Friends are freaking on me a bit to go to a Dr. I don’t think that is necessary or will help at this time. Things are feeling better on their own now.

Getting through this donation and will be going Keto and fasting. I am not ready for pure carnivore. Seems like my system needs a slower detoxing time. Not confident I could ever commit to 100% carnivore for the rest of my life, but can certainly do a high percentage of it and function.

Ate what I wanted the last week, hence the weight gain. Ready to kill that off now though. Making chicken broth now.

Oh, still off the nicotine smoking. Been doing a small amount of vaping with no nicotine - but definitely no where near the smoking I was doing. May have caused the stress I feel like I’ve been dealing with. Feeling ready to get back to business.

Been thinking about posting - but never in front of the computer when I think about it or have just been busy doing other computer stuff and then forget again. :smiley: Was stressing on the income situation for a bit there - not the best time to be stressing with fasting on top of it.

Here’s the update.

Started a new job 3 weeks ago playing the role of cashier and quasi server at a bizarre fast food type seafood spot. Most of the menu is boils - better than frying to be around because if I was smelling fried all day I’d be hitting that. lol

I have to sweep and mop a gianormous floor every night and my muscles are feeling it. I get unlimited water bottles while working so I’ve steered clear of the soda machine (free for me too) and just do the water.

Sunday night this past week I was feeling a bit queezy after work - and think I had another gall stone issue. I say “think” as I’m self diagnosing. The next two days were miserable. Fever, chills, and that pain in the space where the gallbladder would be. Got through it. Ordered myself some ACV gummies, and yes I know just drink the acv straight but sometimes it’s just too over powering and the gummies are a quick grab and go. Also got this stuff called stone breaker (natural stuff) and have begun taking those. Had some great reviews as a natural remedy for passing stones so thinking it may help. Anyway I was up and back to work on Wednesday and back to functioning properly.

The work shift which is 6-8 hours is a nice long fasting chunk into the evening. Need to get to not wanting a small bite or snack some evenings when I get home - but this past week has not been as much of an issue as I’m just not hungry for the most part after that weekend episode.

I had been deferred from plasma for a whole month, and finally got back on that this past weekend. LOW PROTEIN has been the issue. While I’m not totally carnivore, I am focused on more carnivore thoughts when I do eat and working on eating meat if nothing else. Stocked up on sardines to eat out of the can. Want to get into a habit of having those a few times a week as they are great for me.

Weight loss goal - get to 142 at the end which is a mere 61.5 lbs away. Yay! I’d be massively excited to see goal by the end of October - but not going to stress on it. Right now the goal is getting back into onderland which if I keep my head on straight I could see in the next 2 weeks :grinning: Oh how I do miss the Onderland.

Back to first goal of Onderland. Just 10 lbs. If I behave myself that’s a mere 2 weeks. Will give it nearly 3.
