I'll just take a seat here for a while

What are you donating?

Hi @Talk2me, I donate plasma 2x a week.

Good Morning!

Drumroll please…

Today’s weigh in: 224.5. Just 82.5 more to go.

What a drop! Bizarre. But it’s green. :star_struck:

Coffee hours now.

Found some british series on youtube with people following people around and tracking what they are eating. And their weight is in stones. 14lbs in a stone. If I say something like I only have 6 stone to lose that doesn’t sound big. And if I say I weigh 16 stone that doesn’t sound so bad.

I think for taco tuesday I’ll be making myself a giant mexican salad today. Or could make tacos from eggwhite wraps. Hmmm.

Today’s agenda includes laundry, and learning some new editing software. Be back later.

Good Morning!

224.5 and we are blue today. Nothing wrong with holding steady. :slightly_smiling_face:

Didn’t eat badly yesterday but again went past my eating window.

I was experimenting with making the eggwhite wraps crispy. While I got the crispy, they shrink incredibly and start to taste like egg. I tried seasoning one with cumin corriander and chili - did this before cooking in the air fryer - and yeah, still got too much eggy flavor. Back to the drawing board.

Ate all my meat on my taco salad, and oh! Made a yogurt lime cilantro dressing for the first time, that was great!

2 days ago I had some mild lower back pain which I took some advil and got rid of, it was back yesterday and had to look that up. Apparently that could be toxins getting released. Still sore today. May have to epsom bath today or something as it’s giving me trouble moving. Had to lay down all day and got nothing else done really aside from deleting a thousand emails.

Also, when I donated on Monday the scale at the clinic said 227. I asked if I could get a weight from another scale, the second one said 229. Decided to stick to the home scale which I know goes on the lighter side but is a bit more consistent. There are 5 booths there and one scale is about 10lbs off from the others.

Oh, remembered a dream yesterday from the day before. I dreamed I was driving a car and falling asleep at the wheel. In the dream I was freaking out a little and trying to open my eyes as I knew I was on the road but couldn’t get them to open or wake myself up. I’m sure there is some meaning to this. LOL, just looked it up. Not encouraging.

Having my morning coffee. Sun is up. Off to see what I can get myself into today.

You and I seem to be right at the same point in our weight. Give or take a few pounds, take a look at my journals to see my stats? I’m keto adf, with a week fast ending each month.

Good Morning!

223.5. Woot! Green means GO GO GO.

A Great start for the first week. 236 down to 223.5.

I have a donation appointment today and it will be interesting to see what their scale says.

Wednesday nights are game night with a friend - and I did have a couple of cocktails. I probably should have had more to eat yesterday but I just got so full. I did manage to get the protein in so that is the priority for now.

Meal will be early today. Picked up a rotisserie chicken at Sams Club yesterday and salad on the side.

Finishing my black coffee. Then it’s water chugging from 11 on and get the meal ready.

Still have some lower back pain but it’s getting less every day.

The 50 carb allowance is still working so I’ll continue with that number this next week.

I’m always digging and looking for more information/education and came across some things yesterday that suggested for my age and weight I should be eating even more protein - but of course they wanted this spread out over the course of the day and I don’t feel comfortable going there at this time while the OMAD is working. I will work on increasing protein.

I don’t feel like I’m carrying over 10 less lbs from last week yet. I’m somewhere at my previous top weight. Will probably take another 20 before I notice the difference. Feeling a hallow pit in my stomach after coffee but not hungry.

Hi @Jennren96! Wish I could do your schedule - maybe once I get some additional income coming in. The plasma donations pay my rent right now. I could experiment maybe in a few weeks with a whole day fast on just Saturdays, but for now I’m feeling well with the current plan which I think my body needs to regularly recoop. I’ll be excited to see what happens tomorrow on the scale. The big jump down I had on Tuesday morning (after donating on Monday) was interesting. Its all a big experiment. My goals are not as aggressive as in the past as far as a time line. I’ve got the whole year to get there. I see you are shooting for May? That is totally doable. Years ago - back in 2007 I had lost about 77 lbs in 5 months. I was doing really low carb, but my calorie counts were way too low. And I was walking 3 miles a day. I’m wanting to add the walks back in to this current plan. Might start off with walks around my building and increase daily the number of times I circle around.

Allrighty then. Scale goal for next week will be 221 or lower (it ‘should’ go well below that as I’m still in early stages but not in a rush and don’t want to sabotage myself). Will set a timer on my phone daily and start off today with 5 minutes of circling around my building. My neighbors will think I’m nuts. I’ll increase the time by a minute daily and in 10 days from now I’ll be up to 15 minute walks and keep adding on from there and increase my circle path. 15 minutes will equal roughly a mile. Will start that today after my meal.

My schedule is super aggressive because I’m trying to reach a timeline for pregnancy. My son turns two in May and I want number 2 before he’s 3. He’s nearly potty trained so it’s time. It’s nice to see that you had that much success in the past, that gives me hope. I need hope. A good outlook on this will help me I’m sure. My goal for next month is to get under 200. Daily walks are a great habit, I need to incorporate them back into my schedule. That was part of why December went so well for me.

Okay so we will have that daily goal together! But mine will start at the end of this fasting week.

I wish you luck with your goals! And you are doing great!!!

Good Morning!

Made this post yesterday but forgot to submit so here it is.

  1. Green. Half a pound.

Oh my goodness - back to where I started from. :joy:

LOLOLOLOL.

Well, Starting off a bit earlier in the year at least. And enough time to get to goal by the end of the year which I think will make a big difference. I think the holidays at the end of the year that year kicked me back into eating too much and then it was difficult. Dang. All those good fasting days completely reversed.

Feel like I just want to fast all day today. Maybe I will consider adding on “Fasting Fridays” and just try to go up to 8-10 oz of protein on the OMAD window. Hmmm…

And here’s Saturday. 222. Green.

I was a little bad today. I opened a can of clam chowder but I spit out the potatos. :joy: Not sure what got into me today. Then I had a blt in an egg wrap. And some random cheese pieces.

It’s 7:32pm and I’m drinking black coffee and feeling a bit crazy.

Got stuck on the computer researching some things and got no laundry or chores done so thinking I’m going to work on that this evening.

Looking back on the Fasting Fridays - going to start that after next week as it’s my friends birthday and we will be going out to eat. Going to have what I want for that one meal and give myself a pass for the day. The key will be getting back on track the next day.

Staying focused on getting back to onderland. Would like to be there by April 1st.

We have a superbowl party going on tomorrow. This may be a challenge. I’m making salad and brussel sprouts. Everyone seems to love my brussel sprouts.

Going to be a long evening of some cleaning and sorting and dishes and laundry so everything is in order tomorrow.

Maybe I will make some green tea.

Good Morning!

  1. A first red day. I’m not surprised. Was up late, got hungry, and cooked up some stuffed salmon. Got a lot done and still working on it today.

I thought today was Superbowl - lol, it’s just some last play-offs but the neighbors are wanting a big meal with a brisket that’s been smoking and cooking since 6am.

Drinking my coffee, later will partake in the brisket and some veggies, and will cut myself off and go with the one hour eating window.

The two weeks upcoming I really need to watch it. Have a friends birthday on Friday, Superbowl on Sunday, and my birthday a week later. Really need to focus on clean eating when I eat and get through February with some lower numbers at the end.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

The super bowl will be my next big test to prepare for. 2 weeks from now.

224.5. Still in the RED.

Utter failures going on left right and sideways today.

Video converter not working. Phone was dead. Everything feels like I’m walking through jello. Everything taking much longer to get done.

Totally blew my eating window last night and ate things not conducive to my goals.

Just shoved some fish into air fryer as it’s a donate day and need to force a meal down. Not even hungry yet. Feel like I’m fighting myself.

grrrrrrrrrr

I just want things to work the way they are supposed to.

ugh.

Good Morning!
224. Still red, but in the right direction.

Finally got my shit together yesterday.

Went to the plasma donation even though I was dreading it. Forgot my phone, which was a GOOD thing. It forced me to get a notebook out and start tracking my stats at the facility as I went through things. Stuff like protein levels, blood pressure, etc. I told the gal that was doing my tests that I am doing some IF and need to be paying attention to the numbers. She totally got it. I can make a template now to plunk numbers into.

I did have my ipad with me, and have 4 audible credits so I got the Atomic Habits book and started listening while the plasma machine did it’s whirling. Sounding great so far! Just 4 more hours of the book to get through.

Coffee hour now.

So I always heard that a person could donate blood to create younger more flexible blood cells that would circulate more easily and thus lower blood pressure. Have you ever heard that? Do you have an opinion? Does donating plasma lead to the creating of new blood cells?

Hmm, never looked into that. One does have to give the body 48 hours to generate new cells - but the red blood cells all go back in the body. Are we talking about whole blood or just plasma? Regular blood can only be donated every 3 months or so. And then you have to consider a womans monthly cycle where there is a regular thing. Not sure that ever helped my blood pressure.

Good Morning!

Holding at 224. Had my friends birthday this past weekend and lots of eating, but getting back on track today.

Taking care of business and tax stuff. On my way to meet with the accountant, and then off to donate plasma - so drinking water now.

Got my big girl panties on. No pun intended. :joy:

Keep reminding myself that everything is always working out for me.

Good Morning!

And just like that - 15 days since I last posted have disappeared. I seem to fall into the time space continuum. And then I’m spat out to the current reality that is today.

Need to make a donation appointment. Done.

Birthday month has been going splendidly.

I formed an LLC, got a new printer, filed for a DBA, about to order 100 isbn’s, And with any luck will have a no content book listed by the end of the day. Just awaiting the dba to appear online.

The meditation I’m listening to says I need to give things a natural and effortless surrender. AKA stop fighting with myself.

hmmmm.

218 this morning.

I should be stoked - but not sure I deserve it. Been eating a bit and thought I was only maintaining.

Felt really drained yesterday after the plasma donation.

Forcing myself to drink more water.

Good Morning!
217.5

Baby steps, lol.

Been much better about my water intake. I noticed a good difference when I donate.

I’ve eliminated sweetner from my coffee. Some days black, some days with cream.

Started looking at carnivore. Not sure it’s something I could do long term but considering doing an OMAD with it for a while. Or a borderline version.

The kerrygold butter is on sale. It appears to be a staple in carnivore - and it’s normally so expensive!

Right now it’s bogo. Picked up a couple of lbs but may go back for more to toss in the freezer.

Been clearing out the fridge and pantry - with exception to getting some things to make corned beef and cabbage tonight. Had bought more corned beef on sale a couple of days ago and put 2 in the freezer.

Will be getting the 5$ chicken once a week at sams club. Figuring out the budget for carnivore is a challenge. Have a list started.

Not sure how close I will get, but going to go in strong this week. Won’t be buying any fruits or veggies. It’s like atkins induction minus the use of the seed and nut oils.

Been holding strong with not buying any sugar - although I did put some honey in some yogurt this last week.

Ugh, keep forgetting about mayonaise. I love my mayo. I see recipes for it using duck fat. Thinking I’ll ween into that an use up what I have in the house now.

Definitely been doing better and better with water.

The pure protein fat thing really does curb my appetite.

Just been watching tons of videos.
