I'll just take a seat here for a while

217.2

It’s been hot here. My middle stomach still feels very bloated. I just want to take a knife and chop it off. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.

Made some amazing fall off the bone ribs for my friend with creamed spinach and rice and beans. My energy level was good yesterday. Feeling a tad sluggish this morning. Drinking some black tea.

I pick up my friend with the broken foot tomorrow so today is clean her house up a bit day. And with any luck I go pick up a bit over at my apartment too.

Onward and downward.

So glad you’re back! I’m with you again. Haven’t been able to fully commit to anything since Covid, and I’m sick and tired. No more!

Hey @waywardcompass! Yes! Where are you at? Were you able to stand your ground?

I’ve mustered my way back down to 215 in the past week but broke my attempt at a 40 day fast. Will need to save that one for later.

Have not eaten today but did slip in a shot of pickle juice. Deciding my next plan of action.

The only thing I’m affirmative with is I can not allow the scale to go back up. And right now my first goal is getting back into onderland.

We have two weeks to the fourth of july - I’m going to make that my latest goal date to drop another 15 by. So that should give me some borders to stay in.

Let’s gooooooooooooo

I start my dream job on July 5th, so there’s some motivation for sure! I crept back up 30 pounds over the past couple years, and I’m channeling all my self-hatred into staying power. Never again, gawddamnitall.

215.5 Today. Going back to very mindful of when I’m eating and what.

Was busy helping my friend with the broken foot get settled back in after her trip. The end of this year has some big moves and positive shifts happening going forward.

Happy 4th all!

I’ve been commissioned with making some things for a cookout we are having today. Will be back on the fasting track tomorrow.

I’m back! LOL, what a long 4th of July.

Wheels are turning. Things are happening. We are back on a fasting wagon and today will be the beginning of now until the end of the year and to my birthday in February.

Went back up a few lbs to 223.

On the flip side of the coin, I felt ill for over a week - my stomach was wanky. Only thing I’d changed in the last month (other than the mini round of fasting) was going from rolling my own cigarettes to buying packs as I was wanting to cut back.

Well, buying packs was horrible, and I think all the added chemicals made me sick. Anyway, I felt sick enough to just stop smoking over a week ago and haven’t smoked since. No nicotine withdrawls. Smoking has been more of an oral fixation for me. Would love to feel the cigarette between my fingers right now and be puffing away. Just feel like it will make me throw up atm.

Anyway I will run the experiment and see if I can go OMAD for a bit now while I’ve stopped smoking. I don’t like the word quit - because I can have a cigarette if I really want one. And I’m not a quitter for most things.

Calendar in the bathroom is updated for now till year end. Only 210 days until my next birthday - or 30 weeks. 2.5lbs a week and I am in my 10lb goal range by then. That would be delightful. And 2.5 a week should really be obtainable. More than enough time to spread it out

Things feel off but probably because I’m not smoking, not drinking (as much), and staying out of trouble. I really hope I don’t bore myself to death. It’s so bad I’m drinking plain black coffee right now. Just boring.

I bought a ton of meat and veggies this last weekend and had the neighbor skewer them up and shish kebob everything. And then I realized how little of it I actually ate. I have skewers that can go in my air fryer oven. Was I really that lazy? It wasn’t like I ate with everyone either. lol It was too hot and humid to eat outside and none of us here has a dining room really or a large living room. It’s all studios on the beach. Mine is upstairs and while I have a table to pull out I only do that for my big planned dinner parties.
Off to go shopping and with any luck I’ll caulk in the bathroom where a million sugar ants keep coming in through the tiles. They are crazy this year.

Good Morning!

Lots of shuffling around of my schedule but getting there.

I started donating plasma this last week - and had to feel out how that would affect me.

I am instructed to drink LOTS of water, lol - so that is a good thing.

Working on a plan for OMAD on the non donation days, and donation days get 2 meals - one before and one after.

VERY aware of what I’m consuming on those meals. Lots of dark greens and high protein. And extra reason to reduce alcohol consumption. I’ve found the CBD gummies with some THC (legal and no need for a card) really are a great substitution for not drinking - and I drink lots of water.

Also, I get weighed in every time I donate, so keeping a mini journal on that. Will toss a number in here - maybe later today. The amount they take from me is based on my weight - but the pay is the same so there’s no incentive to be overweight - which is a good thing.

I’ve been meaning to get back on here and today is finally the day!

So after about 4 months and 30 donations I had my blood sent away to be tested 2 weeks ago for a detailed protein analysis. The clinic does this which is a good thing.

Every donation they test protein - but this was a special test that gets sent away to another state. Apparently something was low as I’m on hold for donation again until I get retested.

I’ve not fasted these past few months as I’ve been wrapping my head around just getting enough nutrients in me. Been taking vitamins and eating what I thought was enough protein but apparently something fell off.

Was told I could go in today for another test - which will take a couple more weeks to come back - but I feel it would be premature only to wait 2 weeks and have it come back low again - I last donated 4 days ago.

So the plan this week is high high protein and wait to go back for a test next week. From there I’ll have to wait another 2 weeks for the results.

I’ve actually been eating maybe a bit too well, lol, as I’ve gained more weight. So the plan is it go low carb this week and high emphasis on that protein thing to see if I can get caught back up.

I do feel tired and drained after donating and had been planning to take a couple of weeks off in the new year anyway.

My compensation has actually covered my rent so I really don’t want to stop if I don’t have to.

Today I’m breaking down the rest of the xmas ham and making split pea soup. That should be a good start.

Will be rummaging through the fridge and all today to toss any sweets that may be lying around. Then back to specific meal planning.

There was a sale on groupon and I got my Sams club membership back in order - and I get 3lb rotisserie chickens for $5 which are a huge help.

Will be simplifying down to the leafy greens, beans/lentils, meat, and quinoa. And eggs.

So morning coffee with cream, fast all day, and a high protein meal in the evening is the plan.

Today’s weight is 228.5. The worst I saw was 235 in the past few months.

I’m convinced I can fast and donate - but still need to find the right balance to get there. All I do know is all the sugars have to go to get there.

Girl I got all the way down to 128 then got pregnant and jumped back to my most recent weight of 243. Currently through adf and keto I got down to 223 however I took a break from adf jumped up 10 pounds over night, I had some keto sweets. So then I went on a sweets bender. Now I’m getting back on track with a 7 day fast. I’m in day 3. My goal is 160. With plans to become pregnant when I reach that milestone. But this time I’m going to stick to proper eating windows and low carbs. Or something. I don’t have a plan In place for that yet.

Oh my goodness! Wonderful to see you all - and holy cow been 2 weeks. Time is FLYYYYYing!

I finally got back to being able to donate plasma.

Been researching this whole protein thing and I think I have a good plan formulating.

Apparently it doesn’t matter if you stick all your protein in one meal - the body will use it and be fine.

Donated yesterday. Overheard another lady who is doing IF - she’s roughly my age - and shes losing weight and hasn’t had any low protein issues so that was good to hear.

Really need to up my water intake too.

Started making a list of meats I eat and how many grams I need to hit the protein requirements. Things like tofu which I love just don’t have enough and will need to be supplemented with more.

Came across this other lady’s videos - She has a “eat like a bear” plan. She does OMAD with a one hour eating window. So I think this is where I want to move to. Just an hour to eat. I have a kitchen timer. I’m such a slow eater - I like to take a couple of hours. :joy:

She also has her meats all cooked and bagged and ready to go so the meals take 5 minutes for salads to make and about 20 minutes for stuff on the stove top.

Haven’t started yet. Thinking I’ll kick off this Friday so I have time to prepare myself. And will clear out the fridge tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow day I’m on the casino boat with my neighbor and we get 2 free meals. We eat one and I slip the second one in my bag to go. The turkey wrap travels well and I can have it on Thursday.

We also get some wicked free desserts - so I’ll be treating myself there before I start.

Will be donating on Thursday and need to figure out my one hour eating window thing. Looking like it’s going to be a late lunch every day and off to donate on Monday and Thursdays. I just can’t seem to eat in the morning. And will have to skip the coffee on Monday and Thursdays. Ugh.

Wanting to stay on the low carb side as well so need to figure out how many carbs I will allow myself during that meal.

My birthday is swinging around again next month. Just found out that in Florida I’m considered a senior citizen at the mere age of 55. I’m turning 55. :joy: :joy: :joy:

Good Morning!

Enjoying my last cup of coffee with cream in the morning for a while. Tomorrow is the kick in day.

Last big lunch today before a donation this afternoon. Finishing coffee and then on to drinking tons of water before my appointment.

I’m very annoyed with my plumpness. But I’m excited to get my clothes fitting better again so my focus is there to start.

Will be checking in tomorrow with a weigh in and taking photos for later reference.

Good Morning!

We are off to a good start today!

Drinking black coffee and not going to bitch about it. lol

Hit my highest weight plateau ever yesterday. 236 over at the plasma center. I have close to a hundred lbs to lose. I don’t think I could go lower than 142 - but who knows at this point. Part of my demented head would love to brag that I lost 100lbs. And I’d put on just a little more weight just to do that but I’m so uncomfortable right now as it is I don’t think I’d be able to get out of bed. My belly is a huge bump. Had issues getting off the plasma table yesterday. Big belly in the way.

Working on todays grocery list atm. Going to clear out the fridge, and maybe need to pack up some canned goods and food and stick them way back in a closet somewhere so I don’t have to even look at them.

Home scale says 230 this morning. Feel like I’m about to get on a big rollercoaster ride and I’m excited first to have some breathing room in my more fitted clothes.

Going to poke around and see what you all are up to for a bit and then off to have a productive day!

Last time (many years ago) I got down to 142 and was probably as thin as I could be - I don’t think I would look healthy after that.

We are shooting to be at goal of 142 by the end of the year.

I want to keep a detailed journal of my daily meals this time so going to make a notebook just for those so I can track.

Oh, want to keep the carb count at 50g per day for the start. This may go down over time gradually - but I think it’s a huge jump for the start.

Different set up this time. My size 12 goal shorts have been on the wall over a year now.

Good Morning!

229.5. We got green today!

Not bad for a first day. It was not a perfect day - but close enough for me. My window went past an hour and I had a cocktail as a friend just moved back to the area and I had to wait for ribs to eat with my salad that a neighbor put in a new smoker. We had a little camp fire outside and it was a nice evening. I wasn’t even real hungry and would have just fasted the evening out - but told myself I needed to at least eat the protein for plasma donations.

I went shopping and got a couple of giant bowls to eat salad out of. I couldn’t even eat all the salad I made but that’s ok as I’ll add to it today.

Got a separate notebook to track some things and it’s in the bathroom with a pen where it can live as I can take care of business while I’m taking care of business.

I took photos, and want to take photos daily. Maybe figure out if I can make them into a flip book. That would be wild. Might get a pen for the mirror, outline my body so I line up in the same place. Front and profile shots. Hmm. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Photo-Flip-Book

228.5. Another Green day!

Again, couldn’t finish my salad bowl but did concentrate on eating the proteins at least. Eating window was just past an hour as well.

I want to change up from chicken tonight. Might do a giant cabbage soup with ham. Think I’ll get the crockpot fired up and then leave the house so I’m not smelling it and driving myself nuts.

I did fall behind on water consumption yesterday. That is my focus today - drink more water.

Finishing my black coffee for now. Very pleased with the progress.

Tomorrow is a donation day and I’ll need to be eating before that so may push dinner time to earlier tonight as I will need to be finished eating before 1:30 for a 2pm appointment.

228.5 And I get a BLUE day! Woot! I’m all good with that.

Again, went a little past my feeding time yesterday. Needed to make sure I ate as much as I could with the protein. Will be eating early (for me) today as I need to have a full meal before the donation.

Finishing my morning coffee and then need to start the water chugging. The water definitely helps the blood flow easier and shortens my time at the clinic.

I went to sleep early last night - was wide awake around 3 but forced myself back to sleep for a couple more hours as I have a friend visiting and it was way too early to wake her up. She was up late with the other neighbors and she’ll likely be sleeping until noon. I did get up after 6 and was able to sit outside as not to disturb her. She was kinda taking over my bed as well, lol, and I was hanging on the edge.

Got my appointment set for 2. It’s about a half hour drive so the latest I can eat is 12:30 to 1:30. This will be a first test today. I will have some bone broth ready for my return “just in case” I feel overly drained.

Typically after I donate I would come home and eat something and have to take a nap. Really wanting to get past that feeling as the nap sometimes kicks into late hours where I wind up just sleeping until the next day. And if I can get my daily protein in before I go I should be good to go in pushing the next meal time to later tomorrow.

Once the daylight hours get a little longer I’ll be able to push my donation time to later in the day. I dislike driving home in the dark. I have to set aside 3 hours total for getting to the appointment to getting back home. So wish I could slip in a 2 day fast with this but not confident that would be a good idea right now. So it’s on and forward with OMAD this week.
