Extended Group Fast - Starting March 1st!

I don’t now if it helps, but close the door to the kitchen and go into another room, away from smells or any other trigger. Or go have a shower - do anything but what you are thinking about .
Are you using the LIFE app? if so what stage does it say you are at? Its good to focus on these changes and know you are moving forward.
I am just behind you as only now reaching 48hrs, but it says my insulin is at it lowest, so thats good, but clearly has its challenges. I just think I am doing my body good, and so are you.:smiley::smiley::smiley:

Vandaag dag 3. Ik verwachtte een vreselijke dag, maar het was heel makkelijk, tot mijn grote verbazing. Mijn vorige vasten was slechts 43u, dus ik ben blij dat het nu beter lukt.
En jij, al veel ervaring? Wat is/zijn je reden(en) voor het vasten? Bij mij gewichtsverlies en autophagy.

Ik heb een afweerstoornis waarbij ik weinig antistoffen aanmaak. En daardoor veel ontstekingen. Ik hoop dat het vasten de oude cellen dood maakt en de nieuwe bevorderd en zo dus optimale gezondheid te creëren.
Ik ben vorig jaar carnivoor gaan eten en toen 25 kilo afgevallen. Daarna een heel lang plateau. Het leuke van dat gewichtsverlies was eigenlijk dat ze altijd tegen mij zeiden dat het heel lastig zou zijn om het te verliezen ivm zeer trage schildklier.
Inmiddels zit ik nu al maanden te schommelen tussen 102 kilo en 108 kilo.
En ik wil graag naar de 90. Ik ben 183. Dus rond de 85 wegen zou ik heel prima vinden.
Om dat gewicht te verliezen ben ik gaan vasten. Vorig jaar de langste vast gehad van vijf dagen.
En vorige week weer begonnen met langere vasts van drie dagen. En toen begon die maart challenge en dacht ik. Hups dametje aan de bak.
En na het vasten weer terug naar zero carb.
Ik wil wel een hele maand vol maken met niks eten maar ben bang voor het bingen straks. Dat je niet gelijk gaat vol proppen. Tot nu toe kon ik mij slecht beheersen. Hoeveel dagen heb jij gevast en hoe ga jij om met het stoppen ervan?

So I have failed forward. I went 45 1/2 hour I didn’t make it the 72 hours I wanted. I started my monthly cycle and I made a choice. So Instead of doing the negative self talk and sabotage I decided to listen and fail forward. I decided I would do omad and then work toward my 72 hour goal tomorrow thur & fri. Then as the wonderful universe would have it I saw your you tube video about your live you accidently deleted and how you were talking about mistakes and that maybe it was meant to be and I have to say I am sorry for your misstep but I believe it was meant to be to help encourage new people like me to keep going! so thank you!

My stickies really help keep me on track. That’s a nice tip. I also scrawl my weight in one corner of the day I take it. I’ve never gone this far. Feels like I am on the moon. Surveying new territory… Everything in slow-mo :grin:

Try taking a cupful of hot water and a tsp of salt last thing at night. I wake up with now dizziness at all. Was fine enough to exercise for 30 mins yesterday

Well guys day 2 is almost completed, I did take salt with my water but I still have this headache maybe tomorrow on my 3rd day I will feel better. A few hours ago i was thinking of finish my fast early just because I went to the market with my mom and she bough everything to make sandwiches for dinner, what triggered my hungry the most was the mayonnaise, ridiculous!! I don’t even like mayonnaise!! But at that time I only want to eat a sandwich full of mayonnaise and cheese. What helped me to avoid it was to get into my room and watch fasting experiences on youtube. Well I am here now still struggling but resigned LOL

Day 3 is almost done and I’m really struggling. I’ve fasted for weeks in the past with no problem, but for some reason this year it’s extra difficult. I know it’s just maybe one more tough day and things get easier. I’m pushing through! I think it helps to think about my fast as open ended … I can end my fast whenever. Sometimes I make these grandiose plans and it seems overwhelming so I give up.

Try taking your electrolytes and salts. Also read your reasons why… hopefully it will pass soon. I have noticed that every fast is different, some are easier than others. Keep going it will get better soon.

Tonight is a rough night! Day 3 turning into Day 4 and we have to fight to get over the hump! It’s not easy but we can do it!!!

Day 4 noon time . Feeling extremely hungry and nauseous too!! I actually had a taste of cauliflower curry I made for my kid. It was really just a tiny bit to check the salt. Could my autophagy have stopped and did I ruin the fast badly?
