Great point! Thanks Eddy!! Have a wonderful day and pat yourself on the back as you are doing awesome!!
Eddy's 21 Day Water Fasting Journal
Good job Eddy! You are going so well! I also thought after 14 days that it would be smooth sailing. Perhaps it’s just the body tapping into years old fat stores with lots of toxins. IDK? Keep it up. We’ve got just a few days left. Side note, I made a huge batch of homemade kimchi to break my fast with when I’m done.

30-minute run/walk/walk, but more walking than running 😊
Took some potassium as it felt like I had some heart palpitations, but all good now.
I dropped a bit more than usual; I will check tomorrow if the scale self-corrects?
I don’t know how you manage to make such awesome food @bralee21, and still keep on fasting
As I read your post I went off and tried to find a recipe for kimchi, I’m definitely making some too once I’m in my refeed as I won’t be as strong as you not to venture into tasting while preparing
I hope you are right ito toxins releasing, it would be ideal if it is?
I am planning to move onto OMAD for the foreseeable future as soon as I finish my 21 day fast and refeed. A 16:8 Monday to Saturday, and Sundays I’ll have a cheat day to allow coffee and rusks in bed
I did a recipe by Roy Choy and Binging with Babish on Youtube. Just search for Babish Kimchi on Youtube. It was pretty easy.

Day was harder than usual. Was nauseous for a few hours, tried salt, potassium and magnesium, but only felt a bit better to the end of the day.
Managed a 30-minute slow cycle just to get the restlessness out of the legs.

Did a 30-minute slow indoor cycle. A very hard day. Was tempted to break the fast a couple of times. Body aching, and especially the legs. A dull headache most of the day. Took electrolytes but made no difference.

30-minute walk-run in the early morning. Felt good in the morning, but after spending most of the day on the beach felt completely exhausted by the afternoon. Some nausea and queasiness when I got home - took a nap late afternoon which did help a bit. Legs stayed uncomfortably restless though.
I feel I quickly need to explain above leg discomfort. I don’t think it is a common symptom of fasting. I suffer from fibromyalgia in my legs. I was bitten by a “button spider” about 13 years ago, and it took 24 hours before I could get to a emergency room. Subsequently the poison had already spread and caused severe damage to my legs.
As mentioned before, except for weight loss, one of my main goals with the fast was autophagy, hoping that it would remove the scar tissue from that incident. I am thus hoping that the discomfort I am experiencing currently is the process of removing above and the toxins from my body.
I don’t think 2 liters of water is enough. On average people need 3 liters of water a day. Hope you are feeling great again soon and that all your leg pain goes away!
Wouldn’t it be swell if some autophagy could heal your fibromyalgia.
Do you ever drink sparking water? I can’t get enough of the stuff! Since I drink way more water/fluids than I need I have to be very mindful of my electrolytes. Glad you are taking such good care of yourself!

Last day!! - Only a few more hours to go. Seeing the doctor tomorrow for a general check-up.
No nausea today. Drank gallons of water yesterday. A bit fatigued, but not lightheaded.
Hi @Miramar - I do hope it will make a difference in my life. I intend to do more shorter fasts, maybe 5 -7 day fasts in the new year, and then once a year a 21 day fast.
My refeed starts tomorrow. My fiance prepared some fresh chicken bone broth for me for day 1, on day 2 I’ll have some Avo, tomato, cucumber salad and then 50g of chicken with fodmap veggies late afternoon. Can’t wait
I have some kimchi which I prepared last night which should be ready by Thursday - perfect timing to treat myself
I’m so glad it helped! I think one of the best things about fasting is that it accessible to everyone and that’s it’s for all intents and purposes free.
Congrats Eddy!!! Great Job!
