I’m dealing with some emotional stuff at the start of this fast as well. You can overcome the urge to self-soothe with food!!! Hot bath? Binge-watch a show? Hang in there!

It’s awesome there’s so many people fasting at once. I’ve slept through my day one.

I am 14 hours in and on my lunch break at work. I have my water and just watching a show. I will do complete this journey!

I’m in. Started day 1 today. Stickers are up at home. Just leaving work now. So far I’m okay. But I want to be accountable and be motivated by this group. The longest I have fasted on my past was 10 days.

Hi you guys! Here for 30 days with you all. Looking forward to it. Dragging out all sorts of paint and turning my stickies into a project helped to commit to the idea in my mind, lol. I am so ready to banish the quitter in me- because that’s not who I want to be, because it’s not who I am. I am here for you all through this. Thanks for being here and for committing to this together. Everyone doing this together feels like some good momentum to get through the days ahead. Let’s go!

Day 1 check in - today was pretty good. I’m motivated to complete March madness with you guys.
My why’s:
To heal a herniated disk
To heal chronic pain/arthritis from a motorcycle accident
To be able to go on long hikes with my pup
For mental health
To heal food addiction
For mental strength
And of course weight loss.

I’m going to bed in 45 which means Day 1 is down! All I’m focusing on right now is fasting tomorrow. If I think about all the days ahead, I feel overwhelmed. I’m fasting tomorrow.

I got an essential oil stick to inhale hunger crushing smells whenever I feel hunger pangs coming up… game changer!!

The smell immediately makes me think of something else! And seeing how essential oils work on so many levels, including emotional, it might help you (@edisonelectric)

Mine contains grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, peppermint and cinnamon and I carry it around in my pocket as part of my “to-do’s to avoid eating for now”.

Anything worth achieving is going to be difficult and require discipline. This was a good reminder every time I walked by it on this beautiful Day 1. :heart: There is never a good time and you will never feel “ready” you just gotta jump in.

Day 1 is almost over. I thought about going to the kitchen to eat, but I remembered my why. This is going to be a difficult but fun journey.
