My hunger comes and goes, I don’t have the energy that others have mention, I suspect this is because i have m.e/CFS and fibromyalgia, so this makes it harder for me. But I was born determined and I know there lots of fats for my body to self eat, so I just tell myself the hunger is not real and it will pass. Due to my health, I cannot say exactly how long I will last in this fast, the longest I have done is 8 and a half days, but I would love to do the 28 days but we will see what happens. Every day I get through is a win and I am thankful. Day 4 was the hardest for me so far, i was hungry and dizzy.

Must be tough having fibro, I knew a girl once who hard it. It would come and go a lot, makes it hard to deal with. Didn’t help that her doctor wasn’t very supportive, she ended up looking like 30kg or something and felt a bit better. Have not seen her in ages come to think of it. We met at my old church before it closed down.

@Jessical glad to hear from you. Yes, just do what works best for you; trust your instincts. Every effort is a sign of progress. Glad you are feeling better now.

I’m on Day 8, just woke up. Feeling good, I had a dream of my late grandmother who passed on many years ago, very strange. In that dream, she gave me a green saree (traditional Indian wear). I hardly have dreams; I woke up feeling like it was so real.:blush::blush:

This is my first attempt doing just water-only fast. No electrolytes, no coffee/tea. Surprisingly I feel great mentally, physically slow though.

…and the journey continues.

Unfortunately, mine doesn’t come and go, I guess there are different levels to it. It adds a lot of weight and makes it impossible to lose weight also. I put on 80 pounds since the m.e/CFS and fibromyalgia. And I have been trying to lose the weight for 11 years. I use to weigh less than 120lbs and I am very small bones. No matter how much pain fibromyalgia cause, m.e/CFS is much worse and deadly, and has you already know there is not much research or support for us hence why a lot of sufferers commit suicide/ because they can’t even get their family or doctors to support them due to it being an invisible illness etc. Still, I rise. The lord is my strength.

Hello everyone day 6 for me and still feeling motivated  thanks for the shoutout @Jessical  there were slight hunger pangs after cooking dinner for my family…first time cooking a whole meal for them but not as hard as I thought. The temptation was very very slight. Finally the realization of the commitment of 21 days hit me today :flushed::sweat: but one day at a time! :+1:t3: Not as much energy today at all but I did get some potassium and magnesium pills so hopefully that will help. Great job everyone!

Day 6 today, same here, water only fast, with some salt once or twice, but no tea or coffee. Better than day three and four.

Well done @Arunima & @Cassandra_G. You ladies are rocking. I know right 21 days sounds like so far away, I’m just counting one day at a time.

I tried on an outfit which I bought it wrongly n never exchanged it. It was way too small, guess what, I could get in now, though I still can’t zip it up. I’m confident maybe by this coming weekend I could. Let’s see.

Gosh, Day 9 is so challenging. I don’t have any food cravings or hunger. I am just plain bored; I don’t have the mood to do ANYTHING. I feel tired. I spent the whole day lazing. I was feeling light-headed, I am trying to do a water-only fast, therefore, avoiding salt. It’s just 9 pm, and I’m m already in bed, but I’m not sleepy… Grrrrrr hope it gets better tomorrow.

You know the dangers of having low electrolytes right?

I’ve done a 4, 5, 7, two 21 and a 40. I’m a bit concerned and want to make sure you’re informed of the risks.

@Compdude well there’s just so much info on this, I usually take my electrolytes in all my previous fast, the longest I’ve done is 10/days. But this time I stumbled on a support group that does strictly water-only fast and so I just tried and surpringly so far it’s going well just today I’m feeling light-headed, let’s see how it goes tomorrow.

I’ve noticed with more prolonged fasting experience my body keeps postponing its need for electrolyte supplementation. I’m not doing that for this 21 day because I’m at the end of my “6-pack at 60” 6-month project and I don’t want anything to screw it up.

I think on my last 21-day I started feeling the need for electrolytes around Day 10 or 14. Unfortunately, its one of the things I didn’t document.

Morning!!! You guys are doing Great!!! I’m loving watching the post, gives me great motivation. I’m going to plan a fast after doing some alternate day fasting. Right now just doing some Omad and training my body to be ok with hunger. Just need to get myself over that 3 to 4 day hump next time.

Is it possible to join this group late? I just joined this forum and would like to join a group for help?

Yes join the group!!! A few of us have fallen off the fasting wagon but we are keenly supporting the others while we gain encouragement and make plans for future fasting.

Hi everyone. I’m at the end of my 8th day. Like yesterday I felt with a lot of mental energy. The body was not so energetic, but fine. I only felt my eyes dryer than normaly, and like my other water fast today I gained about 0,3 kg, but i guess it’s a fluctuation so let’s see at the end of this fast. Fortunatly today I didn’t felt the acidity in my mouth! So far so good!
See you
