I think we have a serious time difference! Today is day 5 for me, in my water fasting journey, I hope everything went well on your water fast on Saturday evening. I am hanging in there and staying busy. I think my goal is to stop trying to be perfect in my weight loss journey and just do it. I didn’t do the normal prep for this fast and it’s actually happening. I usually prepare and then chicken out on the day, I took so much careful detail in planning, too fast. Either way, we got this!

The max I have done earlier is 7 days, so I start with that goal and then build up further.

Hi and Welcome!! I am on day 6 but I am attempting 21+ days. I have lost 14 lbs from the start of the water fast! It was really rough the first 3 day but his forum really helped. I am feeling much better! My knees have relief, my varicose vein disappeared, and more. Not to mention the clarity! Water fasting is a mental upgrade as well - I feel incredibly accomplished already.

Hi, 47 hours into the fast, at the end of day 2.
Will check the weight tomorrow morning. No detox symptoms till now but I am tired and sleepy. I too generally get cold and its already winters here, so I don’t know if I am feeling this because of the fasting or otherwise.
You are right, it has more to do with your willpower than anything else. I have been craving food like anything, but I have to power through.

Hey there everyone and Lena_ReadySetGo! I am back on my fasting journey as well and today is Day 2…you are so right…I find the first 3 days and sometimes 4 days to be the hardest. But, we can do this one day at a time! We got this!

So… I am on my Day 3 and surprisingly, no weight loss, in fact I observed that I have actually gained on the scale. This is really really disheartening.
I have done water fasts earlier but this has never happened to me.
Shall I take a break and start over again? Don’t know what to do.
Keep going! You body is being stubborn but that means, you’ll get a larger lost than 1-2 pounds when you do lose it. This has happened to me a lot. Truthfully, I don’t even weigh myself for the first 3 days because I don’t want to get discouraged. Keep going in the next couple days it’s going to fall off.

I agree with Lena_ReadySetGo and I have been thru the same exact thing…dont let the scale discourage you! There are many factors as to why you aren’t seeing the loss in the scale at this time…hang in there…you will be glad you did!

I’m amazed at all the healing you’re describing @Lena_ReadySetGo. This is evident to how good waterfasting is for the body. I can’t wait for all the benefits from it too. I’m on day 2 and it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I always find it harder on day 10 and 11 but Im gonna try to bush through it.
