Water fasting third and final time

Day 1 already initiated and I have tried to do this many times in the last two years… I’ve done a couple of water fasts before and it was easy before and then I just fell back into old friends and hanged out with them everyday plus a bad “coach” made me fall in love with junk food spending practically thousands on it. Day one at 207 should be around 156 by the end or I’ll even take 165 but aiming mainly for my old weight back to 156 wish me good luck everyone.

Sure do wish you luck! I haven’t eaten out since April 1st when I started my 2nd last fast. When I look at my credit card transaction history, I see 75 transactions for $945 from January to April 1st. Never mind I know I used another card as well for transactions. Its an addiction.

@Oscar_Perez - I used to eat out a lot too. What I did to kill off that bad habit was to allocate myself an “eating out night” which in our case was Wednesday night (for babysitting reasons). Single, non-transferable eatout night.

If we didn’t go out on the Wednesday, we couldn’t go out another night to make up for it. There was one exception to this rule - family birthdays.

I saved over $10,000 the first year we did this, I’m not kidding. We managed to buy the whole family new beds and bed linen on what I saved - and we bought us a new Super King bed (ahhhh…luxury!). So now all our kids have queen sized beds - we replaced all the singles. Just on what we saved from eating out. The rest of the money was additional to the mortgage, getting us ahead even more.

We still have our Wednesday nights, if we want them. Last week we hit one of our food trucks that does amazing ribs. It was great. Part of the rule of eating out is we can have anything we want, it just has to be on the Wednesday.

Anyway, I don’t know if this will work for you, but it worked for me. Have a plan, and stick with it. Even if your plan is three nights a week, if that’s a reduction from where you are currently that’s a win.

But don’t make it too strict, or you’ll blow it and it won’t work for you. That’s why, when we go out, we have an “eat anything” rule. We really enjoy those nights, so we don’t ever feel deprived.
