Water Fasting Challenge Day 5 - SHARE THREAD

Day 5, we’re getting over the hump now! It’s not linear so it should be getting A LOT easier now! Are you still hungry? Are you ACTUALLY hungry or just “MENTALLY” having some cravings, but no true hunger?

Very mild hunger, easy to ignore. It doesn’t matter. I’m staying on track to Sat.

Just mental cravings! No physical hunger as of yet!

I was craving eggs, omelettes and scrambled eggs. Which is kinds random cause I don’t eat eggs often and I barely like eggs. Is that a sign of low protein? I don’t plan on honoring the craving anytime soon but its good to note when I start refeeding…lol

proud to be fasting with everyone!!! we are REALLY DOING IT!!! hurray!!

So i’ve been looking into how to refeed and stay no sugar but not much out there besides bone broth and eggs?
Will you be sharing some refeeding choices in a video that are ideal to break a fast with.

I really don’t want to eat heavy meats or any animal protein for at least 14 days after my fast is over.
I’m thinking of seaweed salad, broth, and spinach?
I notice you ate kimchi in your last refeed? How did that digest? Did you notice anything? I usually have a hard time with very potent foods after a fast so sauerkrat and kimchi is usually out even though its good for gut biome.

Day 5!!!

The mental struggle was so real yesterday. Hope it’s better today!!

Good day to all you fasting experts!!

Everything completely changed for me today. I got like a whole new energy source again, especially after seeing I dropped 2kg
Day 3 and 4 ya’ll… They really are the hardest, and now I feel great again.

Nights are the worst! I’ll be doing fine during the day, but evening rolls around and I’m like, “oh just a small plate of food won’t be bad, and I’ll fast again tomorrow.” Lol I’m going to try to have a more scheduled evening to prevent the cravings

Some instructions that I have researched about re-feeding based on Dr. Daniel Pompano and others. This could vary based on the length of your fast, your weight etc.

Day 1:

500-800 calories

NO meat yet

NO RAW veggies yet

NO Grains

What to eat:

  • Cooked Veggies
  • Shakes
  • Berries
  • Olives
  • Olive oil/Butter
  • Grassfed Yogurt or Kefir
  • Avocado
  • Raw Nut Butter
  • Small amounts of fermented veggies

Day 2: 800-1000 calories

500-800 calories - Stay under 20g protein

NO meat yet

NO RAW veggies yet - can do small salad with oils

NO Grains

  • Same as day 1 + below
  • Raw nuts and seeds
  • Raw cheese grassfed
  • Eggs (but it’s 7g protein per egg)

Day 3

  • Meat + Eggs
  • Normal calories

Day 4-5

  • Maintain a ketogenic diet for 1-2 more months (you’re already in ketosis, might as well!)
  • Intermittent fasting - OMAD recommended for maintenance

Make sure you consult your physician and do your own research as well

Regarding the SAUERKRAUT AND KIMCHI ETC
It’s good to have a SMALL amount to help with your gut microbiome, but as you said, not TOO much because it’s quite potent. A bit of fermented foods during refeed go a LONG way. Too much can upset your stomach, so just couple grams of kimchi should be nice if you can stomach it!
