Checking in day 6 of 7 water fasting. Not feeling the best. Thinking it is keto flu.

I planned ahead and put a glass with salt in it by my bed to get salt water in first thing this morning. I drank about half of it before I got in the shower but I think I need to drink it and then wait 30 min before getting out of bed. I got very light headed in the shower and had go back to bed for about 10 minutes so I felt better. Still feeling light headed and have a headache so drinking water with both salt and ACV right now.

I’m not hungry and I really want to meet my goal but I’m worried about tomorrow. I have a training session bright and early and a full afternoon.

I’m hoping I start to feel better today and maybe even get some of that mental clarity and euphoria that people talk about.

I’ll check in on my journal later today with an update.

Sticking with it. Staying positive.

Checking in. Day 6 of 30. Muscles stiff and sore from work yesterday. My coworkers and I had to clear a road that was overgrown with thorn bushes and overlapping tree branches and saplings. Road was about a mile long. Took u 3 hours. Having to wrap up as it’s hard to get warm which is expected. Luckily off of work today and tomorrow. Training day Wednesday which I’m not looking forward to. I could do without that stress. I see some vacation time in my future. Maybe visit my friends in Alabama after the fast. We’ll see. Stay strong everyone. Almost a quarter done. We got this!

Be careful of over stressing the body with too strenuous a workout. I analyzed all of the members that participated in the Oct/Nov Fast Challenge and Fastmas. The #4 reason people failed to reach their fasting goals was not cranking back on the intensity and/or number of workouts. One member who was working 12 hour days and maintaining a heavy workout schedule fainted at work.

In my specific situation, the most strenuous workout I did daily was a 1 to 2 mile walk during my 40 day water fast.

Thank you for the advise. Believe me I’ve been taking it easy. Kinda had no choice yesterday as it was an all hands on deck situation. I’ve got plenty of leave and I’m really beginning to think I need to use it as my coworkers are absolutely detrimental to me being successful in this endeavor I’m gonna start my journal on here sometime today and I’ll probably vent then. But once again thank you for your concern and advise.

Hi, I’m on day 6 of water fasting and I happened to stumble across your youtube channel just now and your January water fasting challenge - for which I am so grateful for! I decided to do this fast for a challenge and also for spiritual reasons- the bonus is that I get to lose weight too and my physical goal for 2020 was to drop a dress size or two. I had to get involved with this forum because it’s been hard and doing it by myself has in itself been a challenge. I’m so glad for this community!

Like I said it’s day 6 for me and the last 5 days have been alright and manageable, but today has been soooo hard. I’m like so hungry and I was even complementing making/buying broth. I’m not sure if it has been challenging because I returned to work back today but my stomach has been growling all day and I’m just craving all sorts of food. Thankfully no weird dreams though like you mentioned in your video yesterday!!
I look forward to actually starting to write a journal.

Welcome to the group. Don’t feel out of sorts because of your craving because at this point in time it is just a mental craving. If you want it, truly want it you will persevere. Focus on your goal and envision how you’ll feel on that final day when you’ve overcome the odds and the naysayers and your mind to an extent working against you. You can do this. Others have managed far longer fasts and accomplished incredible life changing goals. We believe in ourselves and in your joining us we believe in you. Stay focused and call on us if you need support.

Day 6 of 21 check in…things are still going just fine. Good luck on your day Yasemin and I hope everyone is doing good! And I just wanted to share that I reached a milestone today…I am finally in Onederland! I started this fast at 210.8 and weighed in 199.6 today. This is the first time I’ve been under 200 since 2015! I am super motivated to continue. Stay strong it’s worth it!

Keep us posted about Euphoria & Mental Clarity! :sparkling_heart:

Regarding ACV and salt water prep next to your bed, super awesome! Planning ahead for success!

I’m happy you feel good! Take it easy with training, don’t want you to faint if you’re lightheaded!

Thank you for joining the forum and the challenge! So happy you’re here with us!

Stomach grumbling is just your stomach throwing a temper tantrum because you’re changing up it’s routine pattern :joy: will fade away eventually!

You’re doing a great job, and awesome for watching the lives and checking in! :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:

I love that weight loss is a bonus goal, I keep telling everyone that! Best is like you said, to focus on health, cleansing, detoxing and spirituality!

Oh my goshhhhhhh in onederland!!! AMAZING! So so so so so proud of you!

I remember that day too :partying_face::partying_face::partying_face: such a phenomenal accomplishment and great great great willpower and determination and getting over your first big milestone! :sparkling_heart: Love it!

A recommendation I have, is to potentially consider fasting 2-3 days more than original plan that way if you gain back a bit of water weight you’ll still be under your original goal!:heart_eyes::heart_eyes: Please make sure you read the refeed post pinned in the water fasting section before refeeding eventually :sparkling_heart: congrats babe!

I dreamt that I was eating. It was such a vivid dream. Luckily it was just a dream. I am still fasting. No hunger pain today.

Aren’t they such vivid dreams? I have a section about ā€œDreams while water fastingā€ on this forum :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Yasemin! Workouts were definitely the first thing to go @Compdude warned me about that and I was not going to jeopardize my goal for some squats.
I don’t even like squats. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Exactly! I’ve been doing very light workouts to test it out as a guinea pig. 5-8 lb weights, I feel good so far, but not pushing myself. I will let you guys know how I feel at the end of my extended fast.

I had GREAT results in my first 21 Day Fast with ZERO workouts

Now I’m testing out the theory that your HGH (Human Growth Hormone) spiked during fasting. If so, it might not be bad to do some very light weights. (Bodybuilders take steroids for HGH)

So I will get back to everyone!

I will check it right away

Day 6 check-in! Just watched the YT vid, I checked in under a diffo username (prefer to keep accounts separate)

This is honestly harder than the last few days, I think due to a combination of have no energy at all and the horrific food dreams I’ve been having.

No problem regarding username! Privacy is important!

What kind of horrific dreams?
I spoke about this in a video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO66FibzDUI&t=133s
Everyone has these crazy vivid food dreams of breaking their fast around the same time. Don’t worry!!!

Regarding energy are you taking your salt?

Day six was my hardest. Hopefully you are doing better tomorrow.
