Honestly, mostly it’s craving ! My gut controls my brain ! N secondly my mother keeps asking if I had food or not (out of love),
I realized, Food is an addiction n this time I will break off that chain! My health is bigger than pleasure of food for few seconds for my tastebuds

Started yesterday. I was weirdly hungry, but I’m sticking to my guns. Best part of fasting is saving your $$$, and with me living alone it’s even better. Although, I’m super nervous. School is starting soon and I’m a teacher! I need to focus on planning/classroom management and my fast lol

I’m a teacher too and it looks like we might be the same age (27). I’m on day 1 and nervous about TTOCing next week while fasting!
But I love saving money and time! Such a great way to look at it! Good luck!

I’m a little bit nervous about bingeing but right now I’m just drinking my water and reading all the inspirational messages. I’m starting with a seven day fast. If I reach the end and I’m able, I might push to ten days or even fourteen, but seven is my current goal. I’m trying to keep this manageable for myself mentally!

19 hours into the first day of fasting! It has been an incredibly stressful day, I legit drove to the store to buy ice cream, then stood there in the isle telling myself the same lies I have so many times before. And stood starring at the pizzas as well, but this time, I was able to resist! I came home and my husband thought I was crazy, because he knew I was going to the store for ice cream, and came home with oatmeal and carrots for the kids instead. :laughing:

I’m starting this today - 2 Jan for me, but wanted to be able to follow the check-in videos in real time same day :slight_smile:

Aiming to do 28 days, as my BDAY is on the 30th. New Year challenge and birthday gift to myself :slight_smile:

WOW THAT IS INCREDIBLE! I AM SO SO SO SO PROUD OF YOU, that’s a HUGE first step! You are telling your naughty little mind and your naughty little stomach who’s boss. I know it’s not easy, you will catch yourself with this internal battle a couple times for sure this month (maybe even daily), but once you get used to saying “NO - NOT TODAY” it gets easier and easier! So proud of you!

I’m in with a water fast. Hoping to go 7 days. If I feel ok I’ll continue. Was freezing earlier today so I used a hot pad. Heading to bed now with a good book. Good luck to everyone!!!

Second post on here. I actually had to postpone my fast starting until tomorrow. I realized I really hadn’t prepared well and did not have the things I needed to begin (I was out of salt and already knowing I would need it). I also drank alcohol yesterday and was feeling lower than I would have if I were just fasting. So, in being kind to myself and making this journey my own, I am going to start fresh after a healthy snack tonight and go from there.

Day 1 I’m doing OMAD but water fasting too! So I’ll be doing for the month of January with PowerWalking and adding other workouts, not sure what else but will looking forward too!
