Struggling with Refeed: 10 days in

I’m 10 day into my refeed and I’m up about 10-12 pounds depending on the time I weigh. In the beginning I wasn’t eating enough, but now I’m trying intermittent fasting(18/6)while trying to only eat healthy foods and I can’t seem to get my weight in control. The last thing I want to do is wake up back into the 200s when I’m 24 lbs from my long term weight goal

The 1st 10 to 12 pounds are water weight as your glycogen stores replenish themselves in your liver and muscles. That’s healthy and normal. After all its these stores that keep you from starving at night and are the first-line source of energy during exercise.

Having completed refeeds after a successful 40-day and two 21-days, from experience I always expect a 15 to 20lb weight gain back. The most important thing is to get rid of visceral fat through these fasts as that’s where toxins accumulated ny the body are stored.

So the safest thing to do at this point is to prepare for my next fast? It’s was a 30 day fast, I wanted to fast again after my 15 day refeed. Would I be safe to do that in the next 6-7 day?

Yes. Technically, you should be able to start another fast.

Personally, after refeed I add a 30-day workout phase to strengthen my newly trim body and to help cement a new weight set point before fasting again. Again, that’s my personal choice and NOT required.

I’ve been doing a 14 day ab challenge as well as yoga. My gym is currently closed sadly

Thank you for your suggestions. I really approach taking advice from someone who has been there versus people saying things like if I were you
