It was a beef bone marrow broth. It just didn’t sit well with me. Chicken broth on the other hand is the best !
I decided to update this page 2x / 3x a week to remain accountable and not fall off the bandwagon. I’ve been naturally doing OMAD In the evenings as I don’t really feel hungry during the day. For the past three days I’ve only been having salad containing only veggies and a little bit of salmon with a tahini dressing and lemon. I wouldn’t say my diet is keto as I have loads of carrots and beets but the carbs are kept to a minimum.
Anyways in terms of weight lost, just before I broke my fast I was at 102.5kg / 226lbs and as of this morning I’m at 104.6kg / 230.6lbs so a little gain over 4lbs.
I’m really happy with the progress. I’m thinking about doing a 21day fast from the 20th on November to the 10th just in time for the holidays with some 24h/48h fats in between. I love how I’m not at all triggered by food after the fast and if I can feel like that around the holidays it will be great.
Anyways, I will let you know how I do.

I don’t eat a lot of beef in general.
I used to get a craving for steak tidbits once a month with cream spinach and this to die for gorgonzola cheese bread, otherwise I like chicken and sushi and shellfish.
Chicken feet broth for the win!

Hello people !!
It’s been a while. I kind of disappeared for a bit but I’m back.
After my 28day fast I gained about 12lbs/ 5.5kg making my weight the last time I checked 240lbs/ 109kg.
I have to admit, after two weeks of refeeding, I started eating a lot more caloric foods and the second lockdown in France momentarily fucked me up.
Anyways I’ve restarted fasting and I’m just about to end day 5.
The goal is to fast until the new year, since I’m spending the holidays alone in a cosy chalet in the mountains. I like my alone time and have been really looking forward to just being alone and in my thoughts.
Anyways, here I am again attempting a 40 day fast.
I’m not sure whether I’ll have daily updates, but I intend to finish this 40day if my body doesn’t give up on me first.

I just read through your journal and recognised myself a lot! I experienced the same type of “ending” on my 30 day fast, when I was feeling worse the last couple of days and on the 30th day my body just gave up!
I hope you’ll have a more pleasant experience this time around! Please have someone check up on you towards the end if you experience feeling worse again I also stayed by myself in the mountains (in Sweden though) last year over the holidays, but I it was terrifying being by myself when I had that last episode. So please just be careful!

As for the little time I’m spending away, I leave on the 20th and planned on taking with me a bag of groceries in case I feel too bad to continue. I think I will be fine but it will also depend on how feel around day 20 ish.

Day 7 here !
Yesterday was tougher if compared to my previous fast. Just constant hunger pangs.
I am currently on day 7 and drinking some mint tea to see if it goes away.
Also a sweet acidic taste I did not experience previously.
Other than that. Nothing much.
