Start July 14 End August 4

I got this! 21 day water fast :star_struck:

Today is day 1. I am officially 16 hours and 26 minutes into my fast as I type this.

Not eating solids has been easy for today. I think mentally I got myself prepared for success however I am sure there will be difficult days ahead.

I’ve been drinking just plain water and got a large cup of ice at McDonalds, they have the best ice to chomp on.

I have a slight headache however that is expected because up until yesterday I did not prepare my body as much I prepared my mind.

I’m pretty focused today and read my Whys, meditated for 5 minutes, took a 3 hour online course on investing, took my son to the park and now I’m going to do Beachbody T25 Stretch Recovery for 25 minutes.

I plan to go to bed early this evening. I’m excited to wake up to Day 2.

6.75 hours into Day 2! Headache worsened last night and is still there this morning. This doesn’t surprise me as my sugar levels are low and caffeine has been cut off. Again, I didn’t prep my body leading up to my fast as I was really focused on prepping my mind.

I went to bed early last night and slept really well.

 3.4 lbs on the scale.

Fluffy feeling seems to have been reduced in just a day. When I cross my legs, they just rest better on one another. Cmon I know some of you know what I mean.

Overall, I am not hungry, I was actually thirsty this morning. :droplet:

I’m cleaning out my closet today and I will check back in before bed this evening.

@Alyssa_robii Good luck to you! :raised_hands:t3:

Good luck, you got this! I can definitely relate to my legs resting a bit better when I cross them ha! It’s hard to explain but I giggled when I read that because when I noticed it yesterday it was actually a bit of motivation to keep pressing forward. :grinning:

On day 2 too as well!!! So glad I found this support and some accountability. I just had a baby so my sleep pattern is off but everything has been good so far. I’m more thirsty than usual and no dizziness. And I haven’t checked my weight. I’ll check it in tomorrow.

Getting ready to settle in for the night! Day 2 is almost over and it was another smooth sailing kinda day.

Drank tons of water, two bm, no cravings, cleaned 1/4 of my closet and will continue that project tomorrow. Ran some errands and kept myself busy today.

Headache has diminished.

Excited to wake up to Day 3! :hugs:

Six hours into Day 4!

Feeling good, surprisingly made dinner for the fam last two nights and wasn’t tempted at all. Getting my mind prepared is what I have to thank for that.

Scale is  8 lbs today
Drinking tons of water, peeing a lot  Releasing those toxins :raised_hands:t3:

Was super productive and happy yesterday. My husband even made a comment

Looking forward to getting through the weekend as I love to socialize and surround myself with good people and that usually comes with food. However, the food will be there when I am done fasting. :muscle:t3:

Cheers to everyone who is currently WF and to those that are preparing yourself in any way! :kissing_heart:

So after further education and thinking I am going to go down to completing a full 7 day water fast with a three day refeed and continue with OMAD for another week. We are leaving for vacation Aug 7 and doing a 21 day water fast only for the first time doesn’t give me time to see how my body reacts to refeed. I would hate to ruin my only vacation this summer being sick.

I am on Day 6. I felt foggy last night. We were playing board games with some friends and I miscounted the dice multiple times. Not like me :grimacing: A few hunger pains here and there. Otherwise I still feel good, no cravings, not hungry, still focused and  another 0.8 lbs. Total of 9.8 lbs since day 1.

Today I will be preparing for my refeed on Tuesday and getting my foods sorted out.

I have a couple projects to get done today so I will keep myself busy.

Cheers to all!

I like your plan…I had a whole week of refeed, before going to the yoga retreat I had planned at the end of my 21 day fast…even that 7 days was cutting it close, and I believe, if I am not mistaken, that you wanted to go until Aug. 4? THAT is way too little of time to refeed until your vacation. A 7 day water fast, with OMAD seems like a good plan.

@schmidtsmia thank you!

Yes Aug 4 brought me to 21 days. Definitely cutting it way too close. I want to make sure I do my refeed slowly and correctly.

I did find the fast to not be that difficult. Continuing with OMAD should still help me feel better and reach my goals. :hugs:

I am amazed at how our body works. I read an article putting as we have a sugar burning factory and fat burning factory in our body. When we switch from sugar to fat it takes some time to dust of the fat burning factory that’s been closed for a while. I read up more on ketones which helps me understand why I am not hungry at all.

Today I had a runny stool - possibly side effect of my body switching over to burning fat for fuel. I’ve been taking my supplements and incorporating Himalayan salt when needed.

Here are my results so far (I weigh every AM):

Day 1 206.2

Day 2 202.8  3.4 lbs

Day 3 200.4  2.4 lbs Total 5.8 lb

Day 4 198.2  2.2 lbs Total 8 lbs

Day 5 197.0  1.2 lbs Total 9.2 lbs

Day 6 196.4  0.6 lbs Total 9.8 lbs

Day 7 193.8  2.6 lbs Total 12.4 lbs

I was really surprised with Day 7 as I thought I would slow down, especially seeing what day 6 weigh in was.

Still feeling good, sometimes I feel heavy breathing if i go up the stairs too fast, some stars this morning when I stood up from bed, my gut feels good, my skin feels good.

Cheers to all! :hugs:

Cheers to my first meal in 7 days! I’m super proud of myself and I can honestly say my water fast has me feeling happier and healthier.

 14 lbs on the scale

Slowly doing a refeed. Mentally I’m not really to eat as I had planned for a 21 day but then rethinking and seeing my calendar it just wasn’t doable. So I reduced it down to a seven which still was awesome.

I have my refeed plan written down and I plan to stick to a keto OMAD until August 4.

Thank you for everyone’s support on the forum, it was encouraging reading replies.

Cheers! :kissing_closed_eyes:
