I downloaded the Life app, but it doesn’t let me choose a fast for longer that a week. I see that you have got a month logged in yours. How did you do that? I have the free version. Do I need the premium version to do that?

I figured it out

I see you already figured it out :clap::clap:

5 am here, just woke up (my son slept through the night, still sleeping right next to me, but I’m so used to him waking me up several times, that I am now wide awake :sweat_smile::sweat_smile:)

just noticing how much my belly is changing.

I am amazed by this whole process. Absolutely amazed. 250 hours without food and cam still remember that last year, I would go absolutely hangry 2 hours after I had eaten big time :rofl:

I only started fasting around oktober, mostly OMAD… then some ADF ande the occasional 72 hours.

I could only dream about extended fasts, admiring all those people who were actually doing it, and now we are doing it ourselves!!

How amazing is that!?!?

So the weekend is about to start and after this, it will all be much easier! The second week really is much easier, it blows my mind!

Somewhere this weekend I will break through the 100 kilo line :star_struck::star_struck: it sort of lost its glory though, now that I have decided that “barrier” is not a biggie :rofl:

Anyways, rooting for you, we got this! :muscle:t2::muscle:t2:

Yes, I can hardly believe we are doing this and that it isn’t some distant dream! I’m going to bed. It seems you are 7 or 8 hours ahead of me. Keep it up!

300 hours in and just about to start the day after a rough night. My little boy woke me u 3 times and now decided it was a good moment to just not sleep again, so getting an early start here after a crappy night.

Yesterday we had friends over at lunch and i really enjoyed watching them eat the delicious pizza I made them

I am so ready to lose this weight, it is almost crazy.:rofl::rofl:

I have noticed my mind completely calmed down and stopped playing tricks with me trying to entice me eat.

It might be part of its vicious plan to ambush me when I least expect it, but right now I am enjoying the peace of mind!

Yesterday when I was walking the dog, I noticed my thighs aren’t rubbing together as much as they used to do, which was a really freeing feeling.

I am actually thinking about contacting me doctor to tell him about me fasting and asking for a checkup and some blood work :thinking: not sure about it yet though. Another option would be to get a full bloodwork done through a private company no questions asked.

Yesterday I found out that travel restrictions will at least be in place for another month until the 15th of April. My parents live just across the border, (haven’t seen them since the beginning of December) and this means that we won’t be able to celebrate my birthday together the 12th.

Again. Second COVID birthday.

So

I thought of breaking my fast after a month or after March, to be able to slowly and safely refeed before my birthday but now I am actually considering to just continue.

I just really really really hope that my parents can celebrate the 2nd birthday of their grandson together with us on the first of May. They already had to miss his first and it really breaks my heart to see how much my mom is missing out.

Anyways, gonna weigh in in a bit. After seeing the scale not move for several days in a row, I think I have figured out what is happening:

I believe it is water retention for not having been drinking enough water these past days. So yesterday I made a huge effort to actually drink a lot: 3 coffee, 4 mugs of tea, 4 liters of water and half a liter of sparkling water.

Probably too much and I had to go to the bathroom a LOT :rofl::rofl::rofl:

My body is playing games with me, I swear!:rofl::rofl:

It is like saying to me, ok ok ok I’ll give you below 100, but don’t get too excited about it :rofl::rofl::rofl:

First time in 20 some years that I am actually seeing 2 digits on the scale again

WOW

That’s AMAZING Miri!!! Way to go!! In my experience I lose more weight drinking absolutely nothing but water, but then there’s the trade-off between actually being able to stick to the fast too, and the other beverages can help with that. The added salts/minerals also cause water retention. It’s just water weight though— you are still losing fat. So don’t let the “slow” weight loss get you down! It’s still faster than any other “diet”.

I’m so sorry your parents will miss your birthday again this year. I too hope the restrictions lift in time for your son’s bday. And how amazing will it be to see them then, with your new body! A fun goal to look forward to.

Have a great day!

Right!

I don’t care about water weight. But I know that as long as I don’t consumene any calories and don’t case insulin spikes, my body MUST be getting its energy somewhere so it is eating my fat, no matter what.

I used to get really discouraged not seeing the scale budge no matter how hard I tried and I’ve come past that.

I’m going to take it as it comes. Just saw on the news that the actual restrictions will remain in place at least till the end of March and then they might lighten up, but only a little bit.

Oh well, can’t change anything about it.

Went to the vet today, to have my dog checked out for a lump she had on her leg :confounded: and while I was holding her when the vet did a biopsy, I got really nauseous and dizzy. Had to sit down for a bit.

I guess it was the combination of the mask, wearing my winter jacket inside and seeing how she was probing with a needle, causing quite a bit of blood.

Once I was outside again, in the fresh air, it was all ok and felt great afterwards so I’m an not too worried. Will be cautious though.

313 hours and still fasting! :muscle:t2:

My husband is having “night duty” the whole week (he offered) so I could get a good rest at night. Days can be quite intense with our little one :sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

I’m sorry about you not being able to see your family. This Covid crap will all pass. At least you’re using this time, while in quarantine, to be reborn! You have the best posts! As far as water weight,I gained 2 pounds of water in two hours yesterday. I’m not letting it discourage me because this is the longest I’ve ever gone and I feel so proud of myself. I know the scale will continue to drop throughout the month. Rock on with your socks on!!

Yes it will drop!! And we WILL do this!

You are right … this seems to be the best time to do a ME-project and be reborn when the summer hits!

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement :pray:t3: It really does mean a lot to me!

So I broke my fast on day 15 after an amazing 356 hours.

I did not “quit” because I am still very focused on reaching my goals and I WILL get there!

The safety of my son goes above everything and after almost fainting twice I decided time had come to do a 4 day refeed and then go onto fasting again.

I will try to not weigh myself until the 24th of March and see where I am at at that point.

The HealthyWage weigh in period is March 20 to April 3.

I’m sooooo impressed. Well done!

@Miri I could feel your excitement! It’s mind blowing for sure when you get past the first few days and realize you are still alive.

Did you do a full refeed or get back on?
