Michael's Journal

September 8 2020

Day 35. Woke up at 3am, and got up and went to the gym as soon as they opened. Have a lot of work to do today, so keeping busy will not be an issue. Did a lot of grilling with the family yesterday for labor day and it didn’t bother me at all. I was the primary griller and everything and I was just able to handle it. I even brought a bunch home to put in my freezer. I think it really helps to have the option of saving food for later. It helps my mindset I guess. But I’m just going to keep pushing through and continue to make progress!

On day 36. Still feeling pretty good. I got some empty capsules to put my potassium in recently to make that less painful to take. Everything feels well for me. The only issues is the occasional dry mouth, but other than that, just coasting on through!

On day 37. Went to bed pretty early so I woke up pretty early as well. Went ahead and went to the gym for some light weight lifting. Feeling pretty good so far. I still feel like things have been much easier lately. I had an upset stomach for a bit and it turns out, I had a bowel movement ready to go, so there is that. Other than that, things are pretty good besides the dry mouth that likes to hang around.

On day 39. Still feeling pretty good. Did some working out early to get things out of the way. Also did a bit of shopping and got myself a new PC like I’ve been wanting. Finding some good things to feel good about outside of food has been quite beneficial for continuing this fast. I am almost at the original goal of 42 days and am just powered by momentum at this point.

So have you decided if you will go to 60 or go to 42? I’m in awe of you over here! Do you check your weight?

depends on how I feel. If I do 60 though, I’ll probably have bone broth now and then.

On day 40. There has been a weird dryness in my throat lately and some weird feelings in my stomach. But I’m assuming it’s temporary and I will keep an eye on it. I have a doctor visit tomorrow, so I will keep note of that and see if things are all good on the inside. Other than that, everything else feels great! I will probably just do some light exercise today since I have some plans for later.

DAY 42. It feels surreal. This is the original goal I set in the beginning, but I’m still feeling great! I had my blood work done this morning and should be getting the results of that later on today.

42!! That’s your 1000 hours, right?? WooHoo!! I’m living vicariously through your fast! Keep us posted how your blood tests came out based on your fast, if you don’t mind. Curious how a long fast can impact those numbers.

CONGRATULATIONSSSSS!

Congratulations!!

This is inspirational!!

On day 43. Still pushing forward. I’m going to ride the coasting wave and see how far I feel like going. I have made it to my original goal, so I’m at least happy with that. Now I am just going to observe how I feel over time and continue. I’m still going just pure water and electrolytes for now.

On day 44. Kind of had a typical morning. Still pushing through since I feel fine. Kind of had some growling in my stomach when I woke up, but felt better after having some water and salt. Just keeping an eye on myself after this.
