I know the moment I pass 34 hours I can do more but the first 24 is hard and then I sleep for 8 hours after that Which helps me get further and I end up sticking with it let’s hope for the best
May 8th - 7 Day Fast
Moving into day 2. Today’s been good.
The morning sauntered by as I busied myself with housework. I then spent the afternoon outdoors feeling grateful for the sun’s warmth and the privilege to be outside during a global pandemic.
Upon returning from a long walk, I practiced yoga in the grass while my partner drank trulys in a lawn chair next to me. I had intentions of going to the grocery store (my one scary thing for the day😉) but decided to wait until the morning. I did, however, start a “daily journal” for this endeavor so check it out if you’d like (Mary’s Fasting Journal). I am now showered and will resume scrolling through netflix.
How was y’alls day?
42 hours in. I’m going to try and go strong. I need to keep busy so I’m not thinking about food.

Day 1 feeling awful , having lot of headache to begin with. I’m hanging in there …
Day 2!!!
Today you can expect to feel:
- A bit sad
- Headachy
- Irritable
- Like it’s too hard
But you can do this!!! Almost over the hump!
I absolutely despise day 2. Terribly antsy today. Water, water, water, tea, and bed. Uhhh, is it tomorrow yet?
Checking in. Am 8-hours into day 3, Headache and fatigue messing with my mojo. Have cravings for sugar as well. But I’ll hang tight. Is black coffee allowed during Fast with a dash of stevia?

Black coffee yes but I would skip the stevia, can spike insulin (up for debate).

I’ve read a lot of different info on this. Here’s what I understand. Pure…“from the leaf” Stevia is ok…and not that hard to find. Its the Stevia that has additives that is bad. Many use a filler like dextrose & other bad sugars. Its the same deal with monkfruit sweetener. Myself, I use Swerve. Better taste than Stevia to me. 70% the sweetness level of sugar which is not a bad thing as its taight me to get used to a lower taste level of “sugar”. Swerve seems more readily available than pure Stevia and definitely has no additives.
On my upcoming 2nd long fast, I plan to have 1 cup of coffee or tea per day, with Swerve.
I also will have up to once per day, an electrolyte replacement drink that uses pure Stevia extracted from the leaf.
And carbonated water. Thats it!

Well @Yasemin Im not the best teammate. I broke my fast after 102 hours. All because I couldnt sleep so I wanted to drink cold water and opened up the fridge and just like that i broke my fast…
Im back into fasting 36 hours in now. The struggle is real, I will keep trying till i get back my fasting strenght. I will never give up till I get this right.
Starting my fast today.
Day 4 and my period started. Ugh. Craving Mexican food and sugar, as usual during this time. I have fasted through my period before and have found that I suffer from less symptoms of PMS when I do so.
Not feeling as energetic as I would normally at this point in a fast but considering the circumstances, I am not surprised.
Day 4, i tried to stay myself busy but it was very difficult, i was cold and i slept whole day. i watched many cooking videos but not because i was hungry, but like a movie .
