Looking for a buddy

@JaZie I am here yes, I’m currently on a three day fast. On day 2 now. I’ve decided to change my schedule based on my high expectations. 3 on 1 off then 2 on 1 off and repeat. So my eating days are Thursday and Sunday. Thursdays I’m eating keto style and resetting on Sunday (i.e. not keto). Day 1 I lost 2 pounds, however I only look for 2 pounds a day this first week. After that it’ll probably slow to 1.5 and then eventually .5

JaZie, here’s hoping your body drops that water weight, you sound like your body’s made all the adjustments and you’re now getting clean energy from your body fat stores. 21 days is a huge amount, I’m with you I’d rather do it in stages, I think a refeed eat slightly over calorie maintenence, reboot metabolism and go again.

I’m definitely getting the feeling that this is making me mentally stronger, so be motivated you’re making yourself much healthier, losing weight and conquering your mind all at the same time. This will lead to other improvements in your daily life. Fully transformative in many different ways.

Day 11 Real good energy all day, been really active and done 22 thousand steps. Got holiday booked for 3 Oct, so at the very maximum I’d be going no further than the 26th September to give me a week to hit gym and refeed. Dreaming last night that I was eating Brazil nuts because they contain selenium and that’s a vitamin that may get depleted over a long fast, not until a few moments after waking I didn’t break my fast lol.

Sounds like a good plan to stop one week before holidays for refeed.

My day 6 was hard, had to taste food I cooked and even do I spit it out and drank directly, it triggered me. So it was my first day I felt hungry while fasting .i was quiet a grumpy mum yesterday

I heard these dreams about breaking your fast are common but it also sounds so funny to me.

Ha ha, that’s so funny JaZie  that’s mental torture. You give your taste buds a workout then snatch it back. Like winning the lottery then told the next day it was a mistake and the winning ticket was someone else :slightly_smiling_face: what happens without getting scientific is your brain picks up the signal and starts to prepare for food instantly then when it doesn’t get it, it’s giving you thoughts and hunger signals by activating a hormone called grehlin. You’re being tested now, on the other side of that is more mental strength if you don’t give in. You should also feel really pleased :relieved: with yourself too, praise yourself when being strong and its much easier to be strong :muscle:.

Day 12
Woke up slightly fatigued from very active day but after some breathing exercises I felt absolutely amazing again. That’s been 3 days in a row. Was actually planning a rest day but because I was feeling so good, still got 20thousand steps in. Definitely noticeable fat loss, I’m seeing it on my head in my face and on my body. It’s weird because I have really nice toned legs but most of my fat is on my upper body. It’s starting to go there finally a bit too. In order to get lean I will probably have to look too thin on the face and head. Doesn’t look great but once I return to normal eating it should go back on the face first.
Tomorrow I equal my longest fast, then Friday a personal best, that’s success for me, just have to keep going to get the results I crave.

So Friday, your day 14 u finished your fast and then? What’s next? Refeeding and again?

I’m so much looking forward every day to have a message from u, u just can’t stop

20 thousand steps sound so so much for me. Just not doable with a 2 years old who wanna make everything alone (so not sitting in a “don’t know the English word”).

My day 7 is over. And it was hard yesterday because my taste just did stupid stuff. Every taste, water, tea… Just was so weard. So it was really hard to drink enough. I guess that’s why I only lost 0,6kg. But I just bought sparkling water today and I’m happy that I can drink that.
But still my mouth is so dry, for some days now. Any advice therefore?
Just asking because u really sound like knowing everything about fasting

Hey JaZie, hope you’ve had a good day. I’ve actually never had a dry mouth, I drink so much water. My only fasting side effect is keto breath, never brushed my teeth so much, my gums are starting to bleed lol.
I’m sure you’re getting plenty of movement looking after your 2yr old, great age for children seeing them explore and run riot lol. No need to do that much steps, just my impatience trying to speed things up, only done 13 thousand today been chilling more. I’m hoping to go for at least 21 days, fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Day 13 just feel absolutely amazing. No more agitation, cravings or worries, riding the crest of a wave and from day 7 until now has been an awesome feeling. I’m getting healthier, stronger, mentally, and just super clarity of thought and even zero anxiety. Would love this feeling to continue.

Happy for u, that from day ü on u were great.

For me it’s just the other way around. I’m now hungry and realize a lot less power (by bicycling) and the first week I felt happy, free, energetic and never hungry.

This morning also the scale said -0.0 kg… what a frustrating day 🤷

Aww, hope you don’t get disheartened JaZie, it will go down again, you’re being tested mentally, then you get your reward, ALWAYS :slightly_smiling_face:

Day 14, and 15, yesterday was good, full of energy but think I overdone my steps because I felt a little strange but it passed.
Today has been fine but getting some cravings and ot feels a little challenging again. This is just normal though, I know that for a fact and that just keeps me going. This is easy when at the point its hard that you just know it’ll pass and its just some thoughts and feelings. Tomorrow will be better. Starting to see some good fat loss so not stopping now, challenges are good and when you overcome you get stronger and feel good about yourself and build real mental toughness.

I stopped yesterday, at day 10.
Not because of not loosing (last day I had -1kg) but because that constant being hungry was too much.
I’m not just for myself, I have to be there for my kids, always. No grandparents or so living around. So I decided to go in refeeding. I’ll refeed for some days and then just do shorter fasts, like I felt great the first week of my water fast.

How was day 16?

JaZie, 10 days was still amazing, hope you’re proud of yourself. The first time I fasted I got into the shape of my life with 5 day fasts, I’d fast from Sunday evening until Friday evening then eat 3 meals Friday, Saturday Sunday. They were massive meals of 5000 calories. That was really aggressive but it worked amazing in the shortest possible time. If you can do 10 days then you can easily reach your goals.

Day 16
Was another good day full of mental clarity and energy. I’m glad the weekend is over I do miss eating at the weekends especially. However that’s just a thought and a habit but today has been easy. Really hoping to have real good fat loss in the next 4 days so I can stop, refeed, put a week’s gym training in and be totally ready for holiday. That would be 21 days and save me fasting through another weekend. We’ll see if not I’ll go another 3 days maximum.

Day 17 Really felt so much energy all day and completed the most steps 25,000. Food smell is overpowering all my senses have heightened. Feel its got me more in tune with my spiritual side and mood is much more stable and feeling good. Losing fat is also a great feeling although still a good way from my target. Will have to do at least another long fast to get to 10%.

Day 18
Absolutely tons of energy today so managed 30 thousand steps. Just feel so much healthier. Have started to weigh myself as I’m in my last week so I’m interested to see how much weight I’m losing. Just been going by mirror and it’s starting to show results.
I’m down 1kg from yesterday which is 2.2 pounds in a day and I’m absolutely delighted. This has definitely been worthwhile, wish I could feel this good every day.

Hi Sid,

Sorry for being calm for so long.
I just read that u ate about 5000cal after fasting… And I’m shocked that your body can do that so easily.

After breaking my fast slowly on Saturday, I finally ate more carbohydrates on Monday… And then I was sick. Heavy belly cramps, feeling of vomiting… so i didn’t eat anything yesterday and today only one meal…
That’s not like it was planned, originally I wanted to be in keto now, starting a shorter fart in one day. But now I first have to find into balance again.

I have to admit, because u just started to weight yourself, that indeed I find the optical changes so much bigger than that small number on the scale.

So u are almost done?!

Hi JaZie, yeah, I was doing 5 day fasts every week and what I’d do was on the first day back eating I’d spread my 5000 calories over 8 hours, I’d also make the calories up with loads of olive oil so not filling and not putting strain on my stomach that had shrunk. After the first day I was back to normal.
Probably have to take it easy for a bit. 10 days will have seen your stomach shrink considerably and they say you need to slowly refeed for half the time you fast. So five days recovery time, then you should be good to go again, fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:
Thinking I’m going to go until Monday hopefully, that’s the longest possible I can go to give me a full week of refeed and gym. It’s just I’m feeling so good and the weight is coming off, I’m looking good but and was going to finish Friday on 21 days but I’m losing minimum a pound a day and greedy me wants that extra 4 pound of fat off just to look even better.

Day 19
When I embarked on thus fast I never imagined just how many benefits I’d receive. It’s just the greatest feeling because I’m feeling healthier, happier and fitter by the day. Had a bit of a chill day and took it easy, just 11 thousand steps. The benefits of fasting are vastly more than weight loss, my brain feels so much better, I’m at peace with myself mentally and I’m much more loving, calm and peaceful. This has been fully transformative and anyone considering it, well I’d fully recommend it because it feels like it rewires the brain and can then influence a brighter future.

Day 20
Another day with good energy. Was out most of the day so found it harder to drink as much water. I therefore had my first real hunger pains and cravings and was seeing food adverts everywhere. Drinking loads of water is the key to making this easy, almost have to drink more than needed. Scale only down 1/5 th of a pound, not disheartened because its probably just I’m holding onto a bit more water because the mirror looks like I’m still losing. All good :slightly_smiling_face:

Day 21
Start of another weekend which are a little tougher mentally, everything’s in the head lol. Four days left to allow me a week to refeed before holiday. Loving the healthy feeling and vibrant energy, sleeping deeper and waking up more refreshed. Scale down just over a pound and completed another 25 thousand steps. Feeling lighter, leaner and fitter. So grateful I’ve found a way to transform my health, we hold amazing powers within us, we just have to tap into and access it.

Day 22
Felt good again today and I’m really surprised how easy this has been, especially from day 7 until now. Now don’t get me wrong I am looking forward to eating again. Eating is one of life’s pleasures. However not eating is the fastest way to improve your health bar none. Once we stop eating we tap into our powers. My plan is to refeed, go on holiday, enjoy myself, eat well and fully socialise without abusing myself. Then come back and go again and really transform my health and get to my ideal weight.

Day 23
Penultimate day of fasting and felt great. Really wish I could keep going. Seeing 2 many improvements to stop but unfortunately I need too. Getting thoughts about another few days I’m so in the groove. We’ll see.

Better stop early enough for the right refeeding. Honestly I still have long pain if I’m just a bit overeating…
And u sounds like u want to enjoy your vacation, not having pain all the time

I’m back my first day of keto, for starting a again, but without any thought of a concrete amount of days, just listening to my body.
So 3 days keto, then 3+ days fasting.
