I left a long update in Stacia’s journal (sorry @Stacia… let me know if you want me to delete) and I should have left it here… so I copied and pasted:

I’m good here. Feeling better after my initial let down, now preparing for Thanksgiving. I have to cook a meal for a couple people and they are requesting my from scratch (pain in the a$$) recipes… so starting shopping tomorrow then cooking on Tuesday/Wednesday and a little on Thursday. Don’t plan on eating anything other than Turkey myself. Shouldn’t be an issue.

My son still insists he’s in withdrawal. I’ll know for certain whether he shows up on Thursday or not… don’t currently have my hopes up. It’s a shame it will be “up in the air” until literally Thanksgiving but that’s the way it goes with someone in his condition (as you probably know).

Anyway, I am doing much better mentally. Allowed myself a couple days to recoup and back in the swing of things now. Doing pretty well in the eating department. Sticking with keto-carnivore and OMAD since I broke the other day. I know I’m losing weight but not sure where I’m currently registering. I’'m hoping to be in the 140’s when I weigh Dec. 1.

BTW: anyone have the 411 on Jill (@Miramar ) Worried about her… she usually so consistent.

Just checking in to wish everyone a Happy (early) Thanksgiving. I’ve already started preparations that involved too much eating today (including carbs). Have to cook tomorrow and Wednesday but I’ve decided I will water fast from now until Thanksgiving. Hope you all are doing well this week and (if American) have a great holiday!

Good morning!

So Thanksgiving was a complete feeding fest including carbs and sweets for MANY days!

I seemed to feed all day and NIGHT Wed. Thursday, Friday and Saturday! OMG…

Anyway… been watching Snake Diet transformations this morning working on motivation.
Definitely not going to make it to the 140’s by Dec. 1. Got on the scale this morning because I needed a reality check.

Ughhhh. I’m sure there’s quite a bit of water weight there as I had been strict keto for quite a while… but still…

So… need to plan out my schedule for December or I’ll be in a very sorry spot by January. Can’t go off the rails all holiday season!

I’m back!

I was watching too much news and had a break for a bit from fasting but excited to get back to business now.

Had a great thanksgiving and the leftovers are pretty much done.

My neighbor who I was supposed to be sharing all this feast with decided he needed to go to the emergency room on Thanksgiving night. Issues with a lot of blood in his stool - NOT MY FAULT :sweat_smile: - and I got left home alone to eat leftovers for a couple of days by myself.

He’s back home now and was able to help me yesterday. Pollops and hemhorids. He will live.

Good Afternoon Fasters!

So yesterday I managed to eat much less than I had been for the Thanksgiving Gluttony week. but still had carbs/sugar.

Encouragingly, some of the water weight is going down. 155lbs today.

I did a Keto OMAD for Lunch today and am planning to do Keto-OMAD for the rest of the week to get back on track. I expect the carb cravings will probably be difficult for the next few days while I detox.

I find it so much easier to fast when I’m Keto. Anyway… should be ready to extend my fasting by next week.

Hi All!

Today is Day two of OMAD-Keto for me and the first day I detected light ketones on a urine strip in about a week. I wish it didn’t take so long to get into Deep Ketosis… but it is what it is. I had a sample of exogenous ketones that I added to my water this afternoon. I have never tried them and they are not for me. Anyone else have experience w/these? Felt SUPER nauseous for a couple hours afterward. No thanks! Not sure what they are supposed to do as I was in ketosis prior to the water… maybe you aren’t supposed to be in ketosis when you have them? idk.

Weighed myself this a.m. I am 154. Working my way to the 140’s… slowly but surely. Would like to be 145 for the New Year. That would be AMAZING. If I make it to 145lb January 1, I will post a before/after pick from my highest weight of 169.

I take exogenous ketone salt capsules and I’ve never had any problems. Does your mix have any additives, flavorings, etc? I use the exogenous ketones to help prevent the keto flu. I also found I couldn’t do the keto drink mixes because some of them had MCT oil powder in them and oh boy my body does not cope well with MCT oil!

It does have flavors and other vitamins in it. I’ve never tried them before. I’m not sure what caused the issue… but I prefer to go without, I think. :slight_smile:

Sugar alcohols always make me feel horrible too. If the mix has stevia or anything! You’ve always done such awesome work and you do you! I know how tempting it can be to look for quick fixes but it’s obvious your dedication, effort, and intentions are working wonders!

It’s unfortunately a golden touch thing though! If I want something sweet… I can make anything… it’s dangerous to have an intense craving and the ability to make it!

I think that’s why keto has been so effective though. It really helps with the carb sweet cravings. Does it help you with that too?

Hi Everyone!

Had an OMAD lunch today after a three day fast. I’m starting a long fast (open ended) tomorrow after brunch if anyone wants to join. Would like to go for a VERY long time… but don’t want to add a number. Just want to do it.

After I started my current fast I had a dream that I’d eaten something and broken my fast early. I woke up seriously asking myself, “Did I…did I break yesterday? Did I forget to stop my fasting counter…” Very weird!
