1.1 mmol today. Did 2mad yesterday has some curry and cheesy popcorn in a 4ish hour window. Have been able to fast a bit longer today (maybe the carbs in the popcorn?). Also had a bowl of broth yesterday.

Had to wake my husband up a bit earlier than usually to help me manage the pups. We have an okish restaurant in town (my patisserie was right next to it). They’re struggling. They no longer accept credit or debit. Just cash or check. We haven’t eaten there since January? When things closed down I bought a $100 gift card from them give it to the local medical clinic. I’d love to support them but their prices are super steep for what we’d be getting. I don’t mind spending the money but it’s just “nothing special.” I’d have to pay $11 for a small salad that I could make at home for almost nothing. So I’m going to get some gift cards to give to friends.

Have been playing non stop with the puppers. Just had a big bowl of broth to hopefully tide me over for a bit longer before I break my fast. Usually salty broth causes disaster pants but I must need the sodium because no dice.

Woke up with a minor head cold and the cough is back. I absolutely cannot get bronchitis +sinus infection right now. Took all the usual otc meds and both my inhalers. Hopefully that will help.

Have a lot of herbal teas brewing for today. 2MAD yesterday in a 5 hour window. Data is only getting more and more energy! He’s had to spend much more time outside running around like a mad dog. It’s super cute, albeit exhausting. This is what I signed up for, though, so I don’t really mind.

I am probably jinxing myself but PMs hasn’t been as horrible thus far. Mood swings are manageable and no cramps at all. Hungry but also manageable with 2MAD. Right after my period last month I was able to do a 48 hour fast. Wonder what I’ll be able to try this month?

I usually buzz off all my hair at least once a week but haven’t been able to with the data. It’s probably like 5cm? It’s strange.

I also am not getting nearly as many fluids as I did pre puppy. I am not able to go to the bathroom ever 10 minutes anymore

Hey Kristy… do you have any special herbal tea you make for sinus and bronchitis… Let me know if you know anything that gives relief to sinus headaches in particular… I usually have a ginger tea (its grated ginger in boiled water) and add some honey and mint leaves and lemon. It provides relief only 30 percent of the time and if not I just have a painkiller.

I hope your not coming down with any sinus or bhroncitus.

I use the “Breathe Easy” and “Throat Coat” by traditional medicinals. I’m not sure they’re special but I like them. I’m not sure if they do anything on their own because I take OTC meds. Give them a shot and if they don’t work you’ll at least have something tasty to drink!

However, have you ever used a Neti pot? That is what helps me the most. I’ve had several sinus surgeries. The only thing that has ever given me lasting sinus health is the Neti pot. It changed my life!

Sinuses are much better today with the antihistamine but the cough is a bit worse. I’ll keep on keeping on. I have some prescription cough pills I may resort to if push comes to shove. Anything to keep me out of the dr’s office! Was only able to eat a little bit yesterday. I’ve been much much worse I just don’t want the cough to become debilitating or have to keep my hubby at home because I might have to get tested for covid- even though it’s def not covid.

My fit bit is coming today. A little excited about that. Also, my husband I are going to go vote early today or tomorrow!

A bit moody with my period on the way. Having a difficult time focusing on anything. Was hoping to go swimming this weekend but that is no longer an option.

Noticed my pants are much more comfortable.

Since I’m having I difficult time focusing I keep on saying silently " Breathing in with my whole body. Exhaling I have arrived."

Yes I was introduced to nasal irrigation (not exactly with a neti pot but same concept) after I had a deviated septum surgery. Then next 8 months were the best until the sinus came back. Once the congestion came back mainly due to food intolerance … the fasting ramped up too… But I agree the nasal irrigation and fasting (even on veggie juices) really help.

Great that your sinuses are better!

Pups are napping! 1.3mmol. Was surprised that I was able to fast for 23 hours yesterday. This close to my period I’m usually ravenous. OMAD yesterday. Curry and a bit of cheese. Not sure when I’ll eat today. I have 1 serving of curry left then I’ll have to make… something… Feeling much better overall. Still have the cough but it’s not as persistent as yesterday. The inhalers were more effective today.

Got the fitbit versa. It’s heart rate monitoring is an interesting feature. My resting heart rate has been very high after my necessary resuscitation/coma as a teenager. During the night it’s lowest was 89 but when I’m awake it seems to be 110-120ish. I doubt it’s 100% accurate. even if it off 5-10 beats those are still kinda scary numbers. My doctors know about my heart and I have been monitored. It’s not something we’re worried about at the moment but I’ll focus some more loving kindness on it during my nightly body scan. My blood pressure has always been great.

Haven’t gained or lost any weight. We’ll see what the numbers are post period.

That’s really interesting about your heart rate. Have you used it while sleeping I’m curious what your heart rate is while asleep…

I really love mine. I’m most fascinated with the sleep feature. I didn’t think I would adjust to having it on my wrist all night but I have acclimated.

I especially like the “averages” after its been tracking for a while.

It’s raining here. Although I have water dogs they much prefer swimming in it than having it pound on them from above. Potty training in the rain is no fun! Data acts like he’s dying. I’ll have a very wet muddy house for the next several days. However, (and I know most people think this is gross and weird) but wet dog is my all time favorite smell. I’ve always liked it but for me it is associated with some of my most cherished memories of unadulterated joy. Dogs swimming, running up and down the beach, digging in the sand (oh the sand never did seem to leave our sofa cushions), Doodlebug shaking off the water at exactly the precise distance to get as much dirty as possible with a shit eating grin on his face, and wet dogs, completely exhausted from joy curing up next to me to nap as they dry off.

1.1 mmol today. Ate within a 7-8 hour window yesterday. 2MAD. I’ve starting spotting so the fact that I’m even at 1.1 mmol is a pleasant surprise. Not hungry yet. Feeling better overall but still have a slight cough.

I had a great dr’s appointment yesterday. It was wonderfully bittersweet. One of my main dr’s who started treating me right out of his residency is moving away and because of medical laws will no longer be able to treat me. He cried and asked me to check in with him. He said that he’ll always be available if I need him no matter where he his. I’ll miss him but I don’t believe “goodbye’s” are possible. I may never see or speak to him again but he’s always with me and vice versa.

Made a giant batch of green curry while Data was napping this morning. Added some nuts to it in hopes that it will give it a bit more oomph and sustain me over my period.

I wonder if my heart rate is elevated because of the inhalers I am taking? We’ll see.

Did not fast yesterday. I had very manageable PMS this month then BAM all the symptoms hit me at once. I woke up at 2 am yesterday ravenous, in tons of pain, and even the fabric touching my breasts was painful. Unfortunately I had to take the strong pain meds, which undoubtedly increased my appetite.

So I didn’t have an eating window yesterday. I didn’t eat much but I did have to eat more frequently. It doesn’t matter but it was interesting. Feeling much better today! Grateful that even when emotions seem out of control I am able to stop, step back, take deep breaths, validate the thoughts and feelings and let them go. That doesn’t mean I’m still not grumpy it just means I know I won’t always feel that way. Transience and surrender are my bedrock.

I might try and go swimming today or tomorrow. Not sure about an eating window today. I’ll just see how it goes.

Data is getting so big so quickly!

Have been too busy with the pups and my husband home to post anything. In the middle of my period. PMS was much less this month and so far my period is much lighter as well. Are the months of OMAD and ADF starting to effect my cycle? The evidence seems to point to, yes. But we’ll see.

Have been doing 2mad during my period- usually within a 5-6 hour window.

Swimming on Saturday was AMAZING. Jumping in the pool after not swimming for weeks was like a secular baptism of sorts. Wasn’t able to swim as hard but found myself much more refreshed afterwards.

It’s already very cold here and we’ve had our first snow. Data doesn’t seem to mind the cold but I get a bit uncomfortable (breathing) going in and our from the warm house to the cold. Lots of playing inside!

Bronchitis. At least it’s not covid. Hubby is home watching the dogs.

Back on antibiotics… ugh. Whatever works, though. Hopefully I can knock this soon, unlike the 8 weeks it took me earlier in the year.

Not really hungry but eating with meds. 1.3 mmol. Still on period.

Puppy kisses are the best medicine though. Just saying.

Sorry you are sick… I know how that is having just finished up a round of meds. Hope you feel better soon… rest up and lots of liquids.
