Hi, guys, I have been here before for a little while and then stopped due to personal reasons that stopped me from fasting.
My why for fasting is to be healthy and happy in my body, to have the life I want to and not be held back by my weight and health issues.
I have done a few 2 and 3-day fasts, and a 5 day fast. The longest one is almost 17 days, full 16 day fast which I finished today.
I’m from the UK and I’m 22.

Today is my day 1 reefed, I had some chicken soup liquid and a bit of pickle and some red cabbage.
I started the fast at 20. May and finished today at 6. June. Start weight was 105 kg and end 93.45kg.
I was aiming for 21 days but my body count take that much this morning I started throwing up and felt sick, also the food smells started to make me sick on day 15 till now, making sandwiches at work was near impossible.
I couldn’t finish the cabbage. Tasted so good and I have plenty more left for the next couple of days. It was interesting feeling tasting food again after so long.

Now I’m just going to listen to my body and eat If I feel hungry, now, after that I am still so full and it feels like I will be eating just tomorrow.

I ended up having 2 more portions of that soup and that’s it for me today. I’m feeling a bit better already.
Day 2 of reefed, I put too much food on my plates, but the sense of fullness made me stop, that’s good.
Also, I feel that now I don’t crave any sweets, usually, after every meal, I would eat something sweet, now I don’t want to, I just want to have some good healthy food, fast food smells still make me sick, I can’t imagine now having some takeaway or anything like that, I don’t want anything heavy or greasy, or sugary in my body.
Soup, 6carb bread with cream cheese and egg, mozzarella with tomato and peppermint tea.
I didn’t finish the soup and half of the mozzarella with tomato was left as well.
I’m thinking 7 days of reefed would be good after I would do a shorter fast because my sisters birthday is coming up on 19. June, and then after I would go again for a longer one 14+ days and see how I feel, maybe I would make it longer and brake my record😆
My job sent me home because I was coughing too much, and put me on 7-day self-isolation, so now I can just relax at home for the next week.
Drinking a lot of tea also had one with a little bit of Hunny in it plus 2 small spoons ended up in my mouth.
This lovely wet and rainy weather in the UK at the moment seems to get me sometimes no other symptoms though.
Day 4 of reefed. 95.65kg
This morning I had to wake up early and surprisingly got hungry, so I had some soup and then I made some hummus, feels like the homemade version tastes even better than the store one, plus my partner hates garlic and it is in all of them I have seen in stores😅
I think I’m starting to feel ready for the next fast, I just have a few food items I should use up to not waste them.
Later today I had some watermelon, tasted really sweet.
Then diner at 16:00 that was lentil soup, and avocado toast, spinach, tomato, hummus and salmon.
Day 5 of refeed.
I’m feeling good and ready for another fast. This time 8 days, the timer is already up after my last meal today.
In the morning I had some eggs,
then homemade nachos,
and then cauliflower/broccoli mash and toast with cheese.
After my 16 days of fasting and 5 days of refeeding, I have learned that:
- I no longer crave sugar and sweet foods, my meals are good without them,
- Even natural things with sugar tasted a bit too sweet for me,
- I didn’t feel the need to eat fast food.
- I still have to work on control over the foods I do eat, I tend to try out things before putting them on my plate, in result I would eat more that I intend to.
Fast day 1. I’m not hungry at all, but I’m still struggling with the sore throat it started 6.june, and now it feels even worse, I’m drinking plenty of warm tea and did some saltwater rinsing before I used syrup and some Strepsils mental lozenges and noting helps😣
I called my GP today, waiting for a callback, will see what they recommend, usually, within a week I would be better, maybe it is something more serious.
GP prescribed antibiotics for 5 days, after two days I can have them from pharmacy.
97.5kg this morning.
