“Info”
Hello, my name is Krista. I have been struggling with my weight since I can remember, even in secondary school I was the big girl in the class, all my other classmates were slim or normal weight. I am 22 years old now, living in the UK.
“History”
Now I am at my biggest weight, which is 103 kg, I am 164 cm tall. For my hight, I need to be about 60 kg or less. My slimmest I have been was 77kg and I remember how I felt much better about myself then and had more confidence. I have tried calory counting, fasting longest for 31 h, but I seem to give up if I don’t see any results fast, it’s like I am fat anyway so why bother with healthy eating.
“Why?”
I want to change because I don’t want to have a life like this and the body in which I am not feeling good and healthy. I want to wear nice clothes and take pictures without being embarrassed about the way my body looks.
Also, I want to be healthy for fertility reasons as I think the excess weight is stopping ovulation and cycle regulation.
“How do I feel now”
I am trying to bee hopeful and believe in myself that I can finally lose the weight and be happy with my body.

I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis so I can’t really walk too much, I am not working at the moment as well, because of the foot pain which is affecting my life a lot at the moment, it’s been 6 weeks already, I do exercises for it daily but it doesn’t help much.
I am trying to get used to longer fasting, I have done 30 h fast, but want to go further. I tend to break the fast of boredom or seeing someone else eat in front of me, not necessarily because I feel hunger.

102.4 kg feeling good
I want to be below the 100 kg so bad feeling positive. I am going to fast today as long as I can.
Welcome Krista to our fasting community
I’m Alipio, the resident “greybeard” both figuratively and literally as I currently hold the record for longest completed water fast at 40 days and I’m older than dirt.
Suggestion: Do you have a pair of sneakers that have support for plantar fasciitis? I recommend you go to Amazon.com to find a pair with that support:
This is the pair I got for me:
Hope this helps!
Feel free to ask questions or for help!
Hi, thank you so much I have compression socks that I wear, feels like it helps. I will look into the sneakers. Now I am wearing normal sports ones, they do have better support than other footwear I have.
Also I replace the inside soles with Dr Scholl’s supports to have even MORE foot support. Also ask @Anna the question you asked in FB.
I asked her in the message. Thank you.

Feeling good this morning,
102 kg
I am 37h ir the fast, feeling good and have energy. Last night I had a dream where I was making a cake
Usually II don’t dream about food, but the mind is interesting.
@Krista_Groskaufmane
Good morning! Gald to hear you feel good! I am dealing with a splitting headache. I dreamt I was making food for my whole family, and my husband was bragging about my lasagna - which we don’t eat anymore!
@Krista_Groskaufmane @JennyC130
Yep, I had my food dream 1st night. It was ordering one of my favorite foods, a Chipotle Carne Asada burrito. Yas’ reports that one member had a nightmare that had a giant cheeseburger chasing after him!

Feeling good this morning, yesterday I had a bit of headache, but that was probably because I forgot my water with minerals at home and went to my sister’s house, I ended up staying there longer and drinking just normal water and some herbal tea.
101.5 kg this morning. Actually, I am surprised that I don’t feel hungry. I’m 60h into my fast, today evening will be full three days.
Congrats on getting to 60h. Sounds like you are transitioning into ketosis as keytones suppress production of the “hunger” hormone, Ghrelin. You’ll still get hunger pangs around your normal meal times but as you get deeper into your fast they will fade.
Thank you, yes this was a good experience as before I wasn’t sure I can go that long without food, even 48h seemed a lot The overeating mentality was strong.
But the truth is you do feel ok because the body uses stored energy.
Unfortunately, I will need to break my fast this evening, because I have a social event where it will be really rude not to eat something, so I will eat something little.
After I’m thinking of doing omad for 2 days and then Monday starting new water fast.
Excellent. As long as you plan for it, its in keeping with the new mentality you’re trying to establish. You’re also building up that fasting muscle for next time.
Yes, I think slowly this lifestyle will become more normal for me, just have to get into a good habit of it.
I broke my fast yesterday and had one meal today. For tomorrow will do the same and then I will try to reach 5 days of water fast.
Also, my plantar fasciitis is starting to feel better Still have some pain walking, but not as bad as it was. I got some supports and replaced the inside soles with them, seems to be helping.
Glad to hear it. I got the special sneakers and support soles for my bad knees from my windsurfing and snowboarding days when I was younger

About 6 years ago, I had terrible plantar fasciitis, and I was really in pain. I even had a cortisone injection in the back of my right heal. I have a high pain tolerance level, but this was excruciating pain. Suffice it to say, me being overweight was making it worse. Once I lost about 25- 30 lbs, it finally healed up. Keep doing the stretches, and get some of those foot braces to wear periodically to keep the tendon stretched out. There is a light at the tunnel, I promise!
@JennyC130
Thank you🙂 I also think the extra weight could make it worse and losing it will make it easier. My gp also mentioned the Injection if the pain is not better after some 3 more weeks. Ok, will look for some foot braces Amazon probably has it.
