Absolutely, Cienna. I’m doing Electrolyte Water Fasting and Dry Fasts, alternating, for the time being. What types have you done? Dry Fasting is very short, 1 - 7 Days. Electrolyte Water (EW) is for as long as you care to. The longest I have done is 25 days. I plan on doing OMAD, One Meal A Day in between so that I can go longer. Welcome aboard.

Day 3, 8:30 AM. Lost 3 more pounds as of this morning! Just finished exercising and Stretching. Haven’t done this for Many months. I Must regain strength in my legs. I have been Lazy long enough.
Wow, thats amazing! I’m not anywhere near as experienced, the longest dry fast I’ve done is 2 days and water fast is about 5 days. I’m excited to go on this journey with you!

Five days water is Fabulous! Don’t dis it! How long have you been interested in fasting? Did you start with Intermittent Fasting? That is often the start of it for people. It was for me. Make sure that it is not Plain water. You want to do electrolytes in it. If you are interested in mine, I will share. Well, have fun and keep it easy.
Yes! I actually inadvertently do OMAD most days just because of my schedule. Unfortunately my OMAD is usually a very very large meal though which is why I’ve turned to water fasting. I’ve been loving day 1 so far, been super nice not to have to think about food all day.
Also, I would love electrolytes suggestions! I have actually been looking into them but not sure what to get. I hope your day has been good as well.

For Electrolyte Water, I mix 1/4 teaspoon each of Sodium Bicarbonate and “No Salt” in about 22 ounces water. I also add a teaspoon Xylitol, a non calorie Sweetener that comes from White Birch trees. It is excellent for your teeth, bones (remineralizes both) and great for your gums. Since I have been taking in Xylitol, I have almost no plaque and no cavities. 3 years now. That is miraculous for me.
I ate today, more than 1 meal. I have lost 10 pounds since Monday. The fasts went well. I start again tomorrow. Also exercising again.
Day 4, February 16, 2023… Lost 3 pounds today. Ate more than I should have today. I must get Victory in my OMADs. Doing well with the fasting. I think I will do a Dry tomorrow. I like doing at least 2 days in a row of Dry. I prefer 3 or more. My husband and I are eating on Sunday, so Monday starts my next Fast… after this weekend, that is. See you tomorrow.

Day 5, February 17, 2023 … Slipped up today but laid out my plan for the next 40+ days… Looking forward to the Lenten Fasting period. Many will be fasting then and there will much prayer going on. Just thinking of the seriousness of that time! Many good memories, even as a child between my sisters and me. I will be doing OMADs On Friday and Sunday. Water before and after and on OMAD days; Dry on the other days. Looking forward to Extended Dry Fasting each week during Lent. It just worked out that way on the calendar.

My question is: seeing your doing One Meal A Day, OMAD, at that one pivotal moment of the day, do you know the point where another bite, another morsel of food, puts you out of a caloric deficit? Or is that not your concern?
Never been my concern. I don’t follow the calories as much. The Time of the eating is more my focus. My husband eats earlier so I do also. I would rather eat later as I don’t like going to bed hungry.
We were instructed by Dr. Wade Baskin to pay no attention to the calories but to eat until satisfied. The important part is to watch your eating window. He promotes eating carnivore. He does not eat carbs, but if We do, to keep them low. I started out eating Keto, years ago. That is not his focus. He got rid of carbs a long time ago.

Eating Carnivore does not put on weight. Even eating 3 meals a day. I have not started that. I only do one or two meals a day. It is wonderful to see that there Is a way to eat and stay thin. I am not thin yet, but I will be. I’m back to a 40 day fast starting tomorrow, with electrolyte water and dry fasting and OMAD (carnivore only) Wednesday (not Ash Wednesday), Friday and Sunday. One meal, until satisfied, not stuffed, but carnivore only.

Day 1, March 6, 2023… Starting again and going until Joy comes up for a visit, or 40 Days, whichever comes first. Electrolyte Water. A diet soda instead of decaf. coffee, during Live podcasts. No food. Shoot first for 25 days, my current record. Exercise daily. Record daily.
