I'll just take a seat here for a while

Good morning!

Getting the phone charging and going to get this oven returned today.

I so wanted to use the dehydrator and test that oven.

Another crap weather day today. I have one more top cupboard to organize and then it’s under the sink time and hope to get to the space above to the ceiling.

Today’s plan is OMAD and then set a timer and push the fast.

Having a morning water.

Successful day on the OMAD.

Almost flubbed around 11am. Had a package of cashews on the table and almost did the mindless grab and take a couple and had to remind myself to wait till dinner time for eating.

Didn’t get the cabinets finished but did get the return oven done and went shopping for a bit. Think I found my next phone. My phone is getting sluggish and really ready for upgrade.

Tomorrow morning going to go get that phone, and definitely excited to get back to finishing the cupboards.

Good Morning!

Feeling a vibrational shift coming on. This is good.

So, I have a few months left of some funds to support me and I will then need to have a regular income. I was thinking about this this morning and thinking about “regular” jobs I would just get in the past. And I thought to myself, why am I even going there in my head?

And it’s because it’s what I’m familiar with and anything else is the “unknown.”

Longer fasts send us into the unknown. I think I’m ready to embrace more of that.

Best of luck finding a job!

I think finding a job is pointless. I have too many mad talents to work for anyone else.

Good morning!

Got the kahunas to step on the scale today. 169.

My body seems to be still shifting and leveling things out from the last long fast.

I’m adapting to OMAD/fasting window thing right now. For some reason the thought of fasting even 48 hours seems so long :joy:

Today I’m doing some list making, assessing some bills and deciding on switching some things around.

May revisit the calendar.

Are you trying to grow your own scoby or are you planning to get one from someone else? I usually grow my own from a bottle of storebought GT’s Kombucha. It takes a few weeks to grow and I throw that batch of kombucha out, but the next batch is good to drink - and then another scoby grows on the first so I have two.

Want to grow my own.

I have a bottle of gt’s original.

Half gallon wide mouth jar.

Coffee filter, and tea and organic cane sugar.

The only thing holding me back is wondering how much smell it will produce. A bug infestation is my concern.

I have a cabinet over the fridge I determined to be a good storage spot. But will I be smelling this super strong?

Good morning all!

Been busy.

Yesterday was a good day - so busy I didn’t even think about eating.

But last night I had some cocktails and lol, they hit really hard and I realized I’d not eaten.

Made some cold sesame noodles and some steak kabobs.

Coffee and kombucha morning.

Started a garlic honey ferment a couple of days ago. I burped the jar this morning and holy cow the garlic . It’ll be “ready” in a month.

Deciding on more things to pickle and ferment.

Want to do some ginger and on the hunt currently for a truffle slicer to get those nice thin slices.

Visiting a friend later today for a sleepover.

I love love love garlic pickled Majool dates, carrots, and sour cherries. I’ve made lots of kombucha. It doesn’t smell too much (and shouldn’t if you keep it well ventilated). Definitely a pest issue if you don’t keep it very securely covered with a cheese cloth or muslin.

I use a rubber band to secure cheesecloth over the top of the jar and keep it on a closet shelf. It does have a noticeable smell when I get close and sniff at it - I can determine by the smell if it has fermented to my preferred flavor - but I’ve never thought of it as particularly strong smelling and I’ve never gotten bugs, but I don’t live in Florida. You might check out Sandor Katz’s Wild Fermentation website for more fermentation ideas.

Hello! Good morning all you wonderful fabulous fasting people!

I fell into a time warp for a bit there.

Just got busy with a bunch of stuff and been active with things - everything but my fasting so time to pull back in today.

Looks like I have some reading to catch up on.

Today’s plan - I’m having my morning coffee and will be making some pea soup in the crock for dinner as we are supposed to be dipping down to the 40’s tonight. I know 40’s doesn’t sound that low for some, but when you’re used to 70-80 every day it’s going to feel like a winter tundra.

OMAD day today.

My eating frequency through the day has definitely been a holiday schedule - IE eat all day.

Last week we had a visitor who I’d not seen in months and first thing she said was wow, you lost a lot of weight. I explained I actually have just put some back on :joy: but yeah, it was nice to hear that from someone who hadn’t seen me every day through my fasting summer and fall time.

Just ordered a food saver - coming this week. I realized I wouldn’t have finished all my favorite thanksgiving dishes off if I could have properly sealed things to go in the freezer.

The fridge is near empty again and I have water and ready to kick in.

Oh! and I bought 4 turkeys last week at 50 cents a pound. 3 of them went in the freezer and I’ll be making turkey bone broth for the next month or more. I have some bone broth now from the one we ate last week and it has jellied wonderfully.

No serious party dinner plans until Christmas now and I think I am relieved to not eat (so much) for a bit.

Excited to get back to fasting again now!

Last night ended with about 2 oz swiss cheese and vodka with sf red bull knock off.

So happy I didn’t gorge all day.

Did my coffee this morning and got pea soup going in the crock for tonight and homemade bread rising.

Feeling a bit heavy still from Thanksgiving week.

I had to take my neighbor to the hospital on Thanksgiving and he was gone for a couple of days and had left me to eating a lot more leftovers than I was planning on .

I’m still coming down from that.

He’s ok - pollops and hemroids.

I smell the soup cooking and it’s making me hungry now. It won’t be done until about 5 or six so I’ll just drink some water. Trying to behave myself today.

Good Morning!

Staining some shelves today. Waiting for noon so it’ll be a bit warmer out for them to dry.

Pea soup was sooooo warming. And the bread came out delightful.

Had my morning coffee and feeling very full. Going to push for fasting the rest of today.

Pulled a turkey out to thaw and cook by next Monday. It’s pretty much like a giant chicken.

I got my food sealer and will be sealing something today.

Let’s see how much progress I can make today.

I love Turkey… especially the Dark Meat. I never cook it because it seems like such a chore. But you are inspiring me to make another bird soon.

At 50 cents a lb I really couldn’t say no. I boil the bones for broth, use all the gizzards and everything on it. A PITA to get prepped and cooked, but once it’s done it’s just bag and freeze the extras at this point.

I may rip this one apart too and do the parts all separate. Taking that backbone out and whacking it up for broth was amazing. I got such good collagen from it.
