I'll just take a seat here for a while

  1. What a sticky few lbs. But just a lb away from the shorts again.

After this weekend I’m going hardcore to get the next 5 lbs off and keep making progress. I love the 70’s but can’t be here forever .

Toying with a 9 day as I will only have that left after this weekend.
Not sure if I need a change up again.

Hi @Miramar - you are such an inspiration !!! I love reading your posts.

… and I must say, got so hungry a few days ago when you spoke about the pork loin in beer your neighbor was preparing, with your onion cabbage sauteed!! … I couldn’t imagine how well that would have gone down :slightly_smiling_face:

Awesome day.

I saw 177. Just realized I didn’t mention - happened late morning
I took a shower and decided to wear my new shorts to the store - they didn’t fall off.
I took a booze run for money.
I got lots of bogo on my shopping excursion - lots of goodies for Sunday.

Didn’t eat! Saving breaking tomorrow evening.

Figured out a solution to something I’m building.

I think this is going to be a two day refeed weekend, and then fast Tuesday to next Saturday.

Oh my!
Good morning!

This won’t last long enough but 174.5. Had to step on twice.

A nice whoosh.

Almost makes a gal wanna fast all weekend.

Good morning!

174.5.

Small tastings of everything today. I got really full on a half size refeed last night. I could barely handle half an avocado.

YAY!! So exciting to see those numbers going down. Really affirms the hard work and effort. Congrats!

Lol, so I’m struggling atm to get some more refeed in me so I can have a cocktail.

Festivities start at 4. Spent the morning making dip and veggies and popping up a tent.

It’s so hot I’m not hungry :joy:. And that works great for fasting days - so happy there’s no more holidays for a while.

There’s leftover party food that need attention today, and then I’ll be kicking back into a fast.

One neighbor complimented me that I look like I’m 38. Granted, it was dark out at that point and we were all tipsy but I’ll take it! Haha

Just had my morning coffee and I’m full already again.

Going to stick this photo here for the people not on the Facebook.

If this stomach shrinkage kees up it’s going to take me a week to eat my Thanksgiving dinner.

Wow! Man, I wish I could drop weight so fast like you seem to be able to. After doing 3(!!!) consecutive 21 day water fasts, with only 5-7 refeed days inbetween, (and NO cocktails), and no carbs…I ended up “only” dropping 17 kg., going from 93.5 kg, to 76.4 kg. as of the 27th of August. Then, I did mostly ADF. I am now water fasting until next weekend, and forgot to get on the friggin scale, LOL. I will start tomorrow to weigh myself. But I am a leeeeetle bummed out that I dropped on an average about 5 kg. per fast. Sucks, actually. Oh, well. I am still glad that my knee has healed and my clothes are looser. And the belly is going away…not fast enough for my expectations, though. So, I wanted to ask you what program did you use to track your weight loss on the graph that you sent to my old journal? I would like to do such a graph, too. Can you please advise me how I can 1) use a graph (is it an app?) and 2) How to share it on my new journal? Thanks, Jill and congratulations!!!

Hey @schmidtsmia !

You have made amazing progress! Don’t knock it. And you will get to your goal. I’m certain of that.

I’ve been using the free version of the LIFE app.

It’s pretty straight forward - sticking some numbers in and setting the fasting timer. Click into “progress” to update things and you can choose kilos for weight.

I take screenshots on my phone and load those up to share where I want.

There’s fasting circles and I can link with you and you be able to see if I’m fasting or not. Provided I remember to update .

Lol, this is my only "Journal. " When I said “I’ll just take a seat here for a while” I meant it :joy: .

How much do you have left to do before maintenance?

I think part of my success has been the change up of fasting durations so don’t be afraid to shuffle things up and experiment. My metabolism (energy levels) have definitely been increased. Dang Florida heat is the only thing that slows me down - like yesterday I was simply cutting carrots and celery and the sweat was rolling off me and I have to stop to dry off before the salt starts rolling into my eyes.

178 after literally almost chewing my own head off yesterday after biting my cheek

Very full of myself today. Expect a significant drop back down by the end of the week.

I’ve declared I’d like to see 172 at the end of fast into Fall.

Your progress is encouraging Miramar! I like how you incorporate fasting days and eating days and getting so much progress … great job !!

This last weekend became a feasting exception as I was given full warning enough in advance to plan for it. I fasted an extra day before and dropped lower than I expected.

I know I typically gain on feed days, but I stay focused on what ever the scale said before the refeed and know I can get back there the sooner I kick my but in gear again. So no hesitation this morning - I’m back on it.

I typically don’t eat as much on refeed as I did this past weekend, :joy: but I can’t say no to oysters as I was treated to them and I know I won’t be getting that treat again for a few months.

Having said that, I feel this refeed food is going to drop back off quickly.

I set a number of fasting days to accomplish within a certain time frame. If you look at that Fasting into Fall challenge thread I think it was 50? Doesn’t matter what order, just committed to getting them in before the end of the challenge.

Already saw my other conditions met - get to 177, wear size 14- just need to log in those fasting days I promised myself.

I had to take a different mindset on the stickies and reversed them into a countdown. So I have 9 days left to knock out in the next 2 weeks.

I set new goals already for the winter solstice challenge - you should do that with me too♥️.

Not sure how much you want to lose, but I’m going for 25 more lbs by then and size 12’s:heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:.

And going to fast another 50 days out of the 90.

Could be meals every other day, or a couple of 48’s every week, or whatever. I need to keep my body guessing. And mark off the upcoming holidays as feed days now so I’ll fast a bit harder before them. Halloween, Thanksgiving, a couple of days after Thanksgiving for the leftovers :joy:.

I’ll always know that if nothing else, I fasted over a hundred days in 2020. It adds up!

I’ll be 53 next February. I want to be at my goal weight. I want to buy a ridiculously sexy dress and take photos. And eat whatever floats my boat cause I’ll fast it back off in maintenance.

Great post! I understand a little better now how you’ve done this ! Very cool … you are an inspiration for learning how to do this as a “lifestyle” and not a one and done. Love it!! Thank you Miramar!!

I’d rather fast on occasion and have carbs occasionally than go all keto or low carb.

I did the low carb - great for losing but not maintenance. I’d be sad to never have a slice of pizza again or a bowl of regular pasta. Or certain flavors of icecream . I’d rather tame the beast and enjoy occasional treats.

I’m excited to see what maintenance is going to look like for me.

I could envision a bigger late lunch thing as my main meal of the day, and a snack and cocktail hour in the evening that gets cut off by 7.

I was eating all over the map here for a while.

Love it … I like your plan … I gotta just get consistent and go from there . . was it hard to get started for you? A lot of starts that you kept eating more than you planned?

Actually I jumped in - planned a few days and gorged myself crazy then hit hard into what turned into a 17.5 day fast. It was going to be 21, but I had to cut early enough to refeed properly before July 4th weekend.

Then I jumped into the reverse 5:2 fasts for a month. Week 5 I had some issues so fasting times were wacky but pulled it back together the following week. I’m perimenopause age so that likes to mess with my head🤣. Surprised I’ve been this consistent.

But I have a solid “why.” All my immediate family passed away in the last 5 years - just had my sister’s funeral in January.

I don’t have time to be dealing with things and waste time thinking about things I don’t want - like weight being uncomfortable.

Every time I have to waste time thinking about if my clothes are going to fit or will I be more than comfortable on my next plane ride is a waste of my time.

And like I’ve said, need to focus on what I do want, not what I don’t want.

I want happy thoughts all the time.

I want to be slimmer me on my birthday, so I focus on that now.

I want a good metabolism, and fasting done right enough will allow me to still be a bit of a foodie. Just have to limit foodie time, not stretch it out all day everyday.

:heart::heart: your replies are hitting home for me !! Thank you ! I’m going to journal about this and see what shakes up in me… I could relate to everything you said. I’m so sorry to hear about your family members passing, I’ve lost my mom and my brother to an unhealthy lifestyle and sure don’t want that same fate, it is a waste of time isn’t it?? Life is short and I don’t think I’ll be 80 one day wishing I worried more about this crap. thank you Miramar!!
