Sorry, I didn’t read before how to start my daily journal. This is not my first water fast, but as I usually fail in the re-feeding, now I want to do this correctly.

My latest meal was yesterday at dinner, and I ate some junk food, like fatty cheese and protein bars.
This morning, my weight was 84,2 kg, and my height is 161 cm. I’ve been overweight / obese almost my entire life, so, and now with 46 years old, it is more difficult to lose weight.

Day 2 (28/01/2020)
Yesterday was OK. No symptoms yet. I slept well
Today I felt some hunger in waves. I drank 2 black coffee and herbal tea during the day. I felt mild headaches but it’s OK now. I’m taking some supplements (quelated magnesium, curcumin/piperine, biotine and complex b vitamins. Vitamin d and k2 and vitamin c, because it’s what my doctor recommended before) and a pinch of marine/sea salt now and than (here we have very good quality marine/sea salt) . For now I feel fine, except for my chronic lower back pain and my right foot because I had 2 morton’s neuroma removed and it’s not OK. I have pain and insensitivity. I am taking shock waves therapy and hopefully it will be better onde day (2 sessions to go) .
And for now that’s all.

Day 3 (29/01/2020)
Today was similar to yesterday. Mild headaches, a little dizziness that went away after I took a pinch of sea salt. I had no hunger sensation, gladly!
My weight today was 80,4 kg (-3,8kg since the beginning , a lot I think, but maybe it gets slower from now on).
I still drank black coffee, 2 cups of herbal tea and plenty of water.
I slept fine and I’m not particularly tired, but I feel lazyyyy.

Day 4 (30/01/2020)
Hi there.
On my other water fasts about the 5th day I started to have heartburn. Today I woke up with some desconfort and I drank worm water with apple cider vinegar and went OK. The worst part of the day was the headaches which I woke up with. They were annoying and I couldn’t deal with them at work And I took paracetamol. This was the two only side effects of the day. Hum… And I woke up a few times thinking that it was time to wake up. No hunger pains, no tiredness. So, let’s moving towards day 5!

Hi fazinah u doing great! For ur headache have u tried pink himalayian salt in ur water that normally helps with me , I’m 5’8 current weight 82kg goal is to get to 60kg, I’m starting a 21 day fast tmrw

Hi Tahrakauser123. On the other days I took sea salt (here in Portugal we have very good quality sea salt, with no artificial treatment so I prefer it to pink Himalayan salt, but I believe that the proprietors are similar). it kind of helped a little but the headache didn’t go away. I wish to get to 60 kg too but for now if I can achieve 75kg and of course after we will gain some of the weight back but with the tips for a good re-feeding I hope we all can achieve a fine water fast result. Aww thanku so much for ur kind words, good luck to u also on ur journey hope u succeed with this, I went doctors tday to check if I’m ok to fast but she was totally against the idea said it’s not good but I’m just going a head with it bcoz I’ve tried every other diet n nothing works I thought il give this a try wish me luck because I always find day2 &3 the hardest, I’m here in UK (London) the only thing I will consume is water green tea and black coffee. There are a lot of doctors that doesn’t agree with the fasts, but I believe that a lot of them doesn’t know a lot of this kind of strategy. Its a change of paradigm. U take care, listen to your body and if you feel that something is not doing well I guess it’s better to make a pause, recover and if everything is fine, start again. Unless there are other issues that can compromise your health of course. But stay STRONG!

Been there. My primary physician :man_health_worker: was skeptical so I recruited an endocrinologist at university who believes in I.F. For his T2 diabetic patients.

You’re doing great! I’m 48 so I know the struggle of weight loss. My doctor wanted me to lose weight and I told him that I will but he can’t ask how I’m doing it.:rofl:

Day 5 (31/01/2020)
Today I still woke up early, about 2am and I felt I could go to work. But I go to sleep easily.
Fortunately I had no headaches. I’ve been pooping these days, a little but everyday. I’m feeling fine, no tired. I wish every day was like this. Till now I lost 5 kg.

Day 6 (01/02/2020)
Hi everyone. I hope you all are doing well.
My day was OK. I had not the same energy as yesterday, but I still manage the routine tasks.
The only annoying thing was the heartburn, that still remains even after drinking water with apple cider vinegar. This has been my worst side effect every time I fast. I hope it gets better.
Ah, today my weight was 78,5 kg (-5,7 kg), I only notice my face a little slimmer and my skin looks clear.

Day 7 (02/02/2020)
Today my heartburn was better, it began about 2 hours ago. I don’t know if it was because I went outside and didn’t drink much water as I should. Today I didn’t have bowl movements but yesterday I didn’t take my supplement of curcumine/piperine, and I think it had some effect. I spent a good day, just relaxing, having sun and a Good time with my family.

Day 8 (02/02/2020
I forgot to tell that yesterday I gained 0,7 kg. I don’t know if it was because I didn’t drink as much water as I should. Is it normal?
Today was like yesterday. Heartburn again, and because I had a job meeting I didn’t drink many water because I couldn’t go out to pee. Now (here is 19:00) I got home and I’m going to drink herbal tea, because warm water usually calms a bit my heartburn. I drink tap water (here the water treatment system only add chlorine because of the warm temperatures we have, that can lead to microbial development. But in Europe we don’t add fluorine, and tap water is considered secure for our health here in Portugal, in particular were I live), but it’s started to taste funny now, kinda sweet. So, and adding to my heartburn, i think it is an obstacle for me to desire like usually, to drink water.
I feel a little more tired, mainly when I climb stairs and even when a washed my hair today . When my arms are above my head I feel my heart accelerate. But I think it’s expectable. Am I wrong?

Don’t stress about the weigh gain, the body is a complicated mechanism just stay focused on the weekly trend. During my 40 day, one day I gain 2lbs which is 0.9 kg.

As for the heart acceleration, @Anna do you have an opinion on this?

I don’t interact too much because of my English, it is difficult to put in words (to translate) what I think, but I read everyone’s journal and I thing, really, that Yasemin had a great idea, and luckily there are here so beautiful and strong people. :heart::muscle:

Day 9 (04/02/2020)
This day was almost like the previous, but felling more tired. Maybe it was the day I felt really tired, wishing my bed.
But here I am. With my friend heartburn and starting to think more in food and how I’m going to break my fast.
It’s unfair that the senses are sharper and at work I smell all the food my colleagues are eating, even though I don’t go to the kitchen. I know this is a real mental challenge but there are things we don’t control.
