Fasting with a purpose ❤️ 🙏🏼

DAY 1
Sooo I am back! I haven’t been on here for awhile but since “quarantine” was over and I went back to work all my healthy eating habits went out the door and the thought of a fast just sounded too hard. But here we are in California! Again stuck inside so I’d like to take this opportunity to restart my mind and body to be in sync of what I know I can do! Challenging myself to a 14 day water fast beginning today. That is my goal. I went 13 days last time for my first ever long water fast and it was a success for me. Also!! Big news I got engaged on the 5th of July and we are hoping to marry by the end of February. I went dress shopping and found the one yesterday but still I want to feel more confident. Going back for my fitting in 12 days so I want to kickstart my weight loss to make sure I get close to the right size! Thanks for this forum!! Height 5’6”
Previous weight 234lbs
Current weight 224lbs.
Goal weight 170lbs (9lbs a month before wedding)

Current exercise-none
Goal- 1 hour a day :+1:t3:

Just weighed myself for the first time in what seems like forever. So I kept off 10lbs since last time which I guess isn’t that bad at least I didn’t gain more weight :sweat_smile:

That dress is going to be falling off you. You sure you can’t plan a fitting in January?

You’re goals are totally achievable, but that’s a 50 lbs difference.

I went through a similar thing back in 2007. Didn’t get married in the end, but had a fitting, lost 40-50 lbs, and when I ended my weight loss put the dress on and it was like wearing a tent. :rofl:

I can imagine how excited you are, just have a plan for alterations again as I m sure you will be a success. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes thank you! Well im just going in for measurements the dress takes 2-3 months to make but I might just get it a size smaller :woman_shrugging:t3: I’m confident to lose at least 30lbs :grin: I did slip up yesterday. Starting over again today :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::hugs:

Well I started I guess last night around 10 but I’m Counting it as day 1 when I woke up around 8 this morning :grin:

Don’t cheat yourself on the hours.

Day one will be done at 10 tonight, and you can sleep off the first part of day 2.

Day 1 almost done. Feeling good and accomplished. Slight cravings through out the day but I was telling myself I want food I don’t need it. That helped my mindset. Self control and staying strong :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: to God be all the glory :heart:

When hunger hits, I gently suggest to my body that there’s plenty of stored calories on my arse…

DAY 2
feeling really good this morning. I passed my 1 day hump! :grin: I forgot to weigh myself this morning :expressionless: I was rushing out the door… going to be helping my mom move so that will give me exercise and keep my thoughts on something other than my kitchen. No cravings at all when I woke up. None now but I am going to have a regular starbucks coffee. :heart_eyes: I’ll check in tonight

Did a lot of heavy lifting today helping my mom move and feeling really strong today :muscle:t3: mentally and physically. Overall it’s been a great day. Definitely got my exercise in :laughing: feeling happy and accomplished. I didn’t want to step on the scale today as I forgot this morning and the protocol, as I know it, for weighing yourself is at the same time everyday but I couldn’t help myself. It might change higher in the morning but…

Also took my potassium and magnesium, I don’t want those crazy leg cramps I got last time on like day 5 or 6…

DAY 3!
Feeling over all good. No real cravings. Took a shot of ACV and some b vitamin. Did communion at church but I’m not counting it :grimacing: I couldn’t not do it so :woman_shrugging:t3: Maybe going for a swim in my pool today for some light exercise.

5.8lbs lost since day 1 but I know it’s just my water weight. Still feels good to see that number going down though! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The night of DAY 3.
Let me tell you it was crazy. I was sitting on my couch feeling so comfortable going to have a little movie time with my love…and then it happened. I was screaming. Let’s just say I had two dabs of Himalayan salt today because I was feeling a little low energy and I guess that was too much for my body. Violent water :poop:. Never had that happened ever. It was crazy. Good thing our downstairs bathroom has a shower :woman_facepalming:t3::grimacing::flushed::joy::laughing: definitely an experience to remember.
