Fasting post Surgery

Hello everyone,

Mid July of this year, I’ve had a minor procedure, bicep tenodesis, to which my bicep tendon was reattached to the bone. If I begin an extended water fast today, in hopes of sustaining for 3 weeks of just water, would the fast have any effect to the tendon healing properly?

Also, I’m 33 and weigh 185 at most. In the past, I’ve reached 16 days of fasting. At this point, I’ll begin to look considerably thinner, sunken facial structure, etc.

What is a healthy way to explain to family or even colleagues from work, who begin to take notice of my drastic change of appearance?

Thank you,
Brandon
