Cravings!

I haven’t broke my fast yet but it’s so tempting when I see my boyfriend eating amazing home cooked meals and takeout. He’s currently downstairs having TacoBell (one of our faves) and I’m upstairs in my dressing room watching a movie so I’m not tempted.

What do you guys do to avoid the temptation or curb those cravings?

Focus on my “why”, think I’ve come too far now to throw it away for something I can have in awhile and feel good about.

I had my first “treat” in almost 2 months on friday…but I was good. Picked up an asian salad. Then I got food poisoning and the cramps were so severe in my stomach I’m still hurting 3 days later. I actually wanted a burrito originally. I think it was bad shrimp. I asked for grilled shrimp. She said I can’t grill them…but they will be warm. Should have been a hint I guess😄

Was thinking of Taco Bell last night. Ugh…

My boyfriend is sucha bad influence. He sits there and just eats ice cream and stuff.

So I told him I’m not coming over for the next 3 days until I pass my 72 hour mark.

My daughter makes bacon and hashbrowns almost every day.

I literally have to drink water till I am full and go upstairs and keep myself occupied with work and Modern Family. Lol…

Hi, i been wondering to take this challenge for the first time, but the resistance comes to me often, would you mind to share your feeling and thoughts on:

What do you struggle the most when fasting? Would you consider that your election to do fasts its only for the weight benefits? Do you know a tool that mixes fasting, meditation and awareness?

I totally get it. Watching other people eat whatever they want can drive me crazy. Taco Bell reeeeeeeally gets to me. I live with my bf and have told him to warn me if he’s going to get something like that so I can go upstairs, watch a movie and not have to stare at those delicious tacos.

I’m also the one that does the grocery shopping so it’s hard to see all the goodies in the store but it’s nice to buy things I don’t like that he’ll eat so there’s less temptation.

My hardest struggle is watching others eat foods I love. Weekends are the hardest because that’s our normal social time. Drink some water, watch a movie, exercise, read, just do things to distract yourself. I find the 2nd/3rd day to be the hardest. Push past it if you can.

I do enjoy the fasting for the weight loss but I also aim to be healthier as a whole. It’s better transition into a healthier lifestyle after coming off a fast. Don’t totally deprive yourself, every once in a while treat yourself so the urge doesn’t get too strong.

I haven’t found a mix of those yet but I’m not one for incorporating meditation. Give it a try if that’s what you enjoy! Maybe do a little meditation sesh when you get an urge to eat. I have noticed even after only 2ish days I became a lot more energized and did things around the house I’ve been putting off.

Once I got past day 6, I actually love smelling the food. I lost all cravings and lately even been baking muffins and cooking for them and it doesn’t bother me. Today is day 8 and going for 14. It is smooth sailing after day 5. I can’t even believe how easy it has been. I know now that I can do this again and I can control what goes in my mouth. Hang in there. It gets easier!

Hopefully the longer I go the easier it gets as it did with you!
