I can’t believe I have fasted for 14 days and still going strong ! I know I can do this one day at a time. Tomorrow I will be halfway to my long term goal of 30 days.

Wow! Doing amazing!!
Hooray! Got through Day #15 so now I am halfway to my goal. I am excited to see what each day holds and it is not easy but I can do it for just one day at a time.
Amazing that I made it through Day # 16! I want to keep on going. Sometimes I have crazy dreams about food, like steak and pickles! I don’t pay attention to fast food drive throughs anymore, and I used to go through at least one on my way home from work before. It is hard to imagine doing that now.
Good job! Cheering you on!
Thank you, and how are you doing at this point?
Dealing with a bit of acid reflux but it’s manageable. Also broke through a weight plateau today by dropping 2lbs more. Currently on Day 16.
Congratulations Compdude! It is all worth your hard work and your body is thanking you for it.
With your experience, with long fasts are there days in which you do not.loose any weight?. Im almost done with day 3 but did not loose any weight today.
You are doing amazing Bonnie!!! How do you feel now???
Yes. When I was a Certified Personal Trainer, I counseled my clients that the human body is complicated and to focus on weekly weigh-ins and the overall trend rather than daily readings on the scale.
Thank you. Seeying it not move, gets me discouraged.
Certainly, because two days this week I did not lose anything at all, and then two and a half pounds fell off, and it is Day# 17 for me.
Day
Day #17 was stressful for me because I had to go to the doctor’s to get my blood pressure checked. It was lower than last month but the doctor still was not satisfied and he wants me to come back in two weeks and have a blood test next week. Emotionally I would have stopped somewhere in the past and ate, but I didn’t and got through the day OK with a lot of water. Whew! All my hard work would have been for nothing. I pushed through the temptation.

I know exactly how that feels. Good thing, you are keeping strong and not giving up.
Yes don’t get discouraged. On Sept 15, 38 days into my program, my BP dropped to 123/87 from a starting 192/101. I immediately dropped my 2 hypertension medications. Then on Sept 21, I was devastated that it had jumped back up to 167/103. Went back on the meds. I’ve worked it back down to 124/84. This time I’m asking the Endocrinologist at USC what other conditions have to be met before I drop the meds.
Thanks, Compdude. That is good to know. I appreciate it.
