Well, today is Day # 4 of my 30 Day Water Fast, and it was a bit rough, but I am looking forward to tomorrow Day # 5 and it should be a lot better. I have done OMAD Keto for the past seven and a half months and have had a stall for a while and I know that a fast will help me break through that plateau. I have lost 45 pounds since the first of March and I want to speed it along, hoping to reach my goal in the New Year. I am excited about this “trip” that I am on, finally finding a way to lose weight after all these years of doing what the conventional doctors say that did not work. The doctors either don’t know or they are lying to us to keep us sick and needing their medications. No more of that stuff for me.
BonBon's Trip
Yes Bonnie! You are so enlightened, I love it! <3 I am really impressed that you are OMAD/Keto and using the water fast to break your plateau! You’re on day 4 so almost over the hump, get’s significantly easier after day 5! So close!
Understand the frustration. I began my journey back in August 9th when my health was deteriorating in spite of being reassured by my doctor and his physician’s assistant that I had my type 2 diabetes “under control”. So I began my quest for a better alternative.
When I’m asked why I question my doctor instead of looking to research scientists I tell them “doctors are paid to see patients and NOT paid to keep on the latest research and read scientific journals.”
FYI: Since I began I’ve dropped the number fo my medications from 5 to 3 and also dropped insulin injections entirely.
Today is Day # 6 and I have been using the Ketostix each day to check on the ketone levels. On Day 1 and 2, it read only Trace ketones, on Day 3 and four it read Small ketones and on Day 6 (today) it read Moderate, so it is increasing and that is what I want.
Today is Day #7, and I am quiet and getting more rest, glad I can do that. My long range goal is a 30 day fast, but I am taking it just “one day at a time” because that is easier to do. I tell myself you can do this for one day.
Tip to save money on the Ketosis here are 2 physical signs you are in ketosis: “Ketosis Mouth” is your mouth feels yucky because of the exhalation of acetone, a ketone, through your breath and you are losing weight.
Thanks, Compdude!
Perfect day by day you’re increasing your ketones! Love your progress!
Day # 8 for me and it is a little better, day by day. I will do it today and not worry about tomorrow.
This is Day #10 for me and it is getting better. I had dry eyes today, but used eye drops and it is fine. I can do this one day at a time if I stay focused.
You got this! Going strong! <3
For me, this is Day # 11, and it is going well. I have not had any candy and I am not going to eat any. There is none around. I will not go into any place that sells candy so that I can be tempted, I am sure the temptation is still there, so why torture myself.
Congrats. Nice to see someone treading the same path as me. I’m finishing Day 10 myself.
Today is Day # 12 for me and I feel stronger and it looks like I have passed a big hurdle. I am so glad I did not have any candy yesterday and it is funny how I look forward to having a little Pink Himalayan Salt every day. I never used to eat salt because of high blood pressure but it is different now and I can do this for one day at a time.
How is your blood pressure now with your fasting?
Yes, I agree. Himalayan salt is a life saver for me. Today is my Day #11.
My blood pressure is coming down and I see the heart doctor next week. I wonder what he will say? I am sure that I will get a good report.
It is coming down, thank you for asking.
Same here. I’m hopeful that by the end of my fast I can dump my 2 hypertension medications.
Day # 13 for me and I am looking forward to tomorrow, as it will be two weeks, I can’t believe it! The various videos I watch about fasting really do help encourage me to keep on. I can do this for today, and I will.
