Anna’s Journal 🖤 Post 30 day water fast & refeed

I’ve never used a foam roller (I mean I’ve tried it once or twice, but it has never been a routine of mine). But I always do a warm up and a cool down when working out!

Sixth day of refeed

It wasn’t as easy to fall asleep last night, so I got less sleep, but I’ve been having enough energy despite that. I spent the morning cleaning for a bit and studying for exams!
Went for a long walk before lunch and continued studying afterwards as well!

A post dedicated to @Yasemin who wanted to see the lunch OMAD photos haha! :point_down:

This was a carrot soup with onion, garlic, green lentils, vegetable broth, homemade almond milk, parsley, some ginger, salt & pepper and a tiny bit of chilli!
I topped the soup with pumpkin seeds & walnuts and had asparagus on the side!

7th day of refeed

Didn’t get much sleep the past night either because I was kind of stressing about school. So a bit lower in energy today, but other than that I’m feeling good!
Didn’t have time to work out today with the exams, but I’ll share my OMAD lunch today:

I call it: “grab-anything-edible-you-can-see-and-throw-it-in-a-bowl-to-save-time-and-energy”… or a salad and pomegranate…

Beautiful! It takes 8 minutes for sunlight to reach earth and immediately our plants trap its energy for food which we benefit from. Nice nourishing food! Love it !:grinning:

9th day of refeed

I forgot to make an update yesterday, didn’t have the best day! Had several panic attacks, and it made me feel very down, since it was a pretty long time since it last happened.
I usually become very nauseous and start throwing up because of it so I felt pretty weak and tired!

However I’m feeling better today! I’ve been running some errands and doing the usual school things!

This was the OMAD for today (later than usual, since I didn’t have much of an appetite until the evening today)



A salad with falafel, and olives with almonds!

Do you think you got depleted of some vitamins or minerals on the fast? I have also had a few panic attacks ( not recent) but I remember they were not pleasant at all!!! For me I had to step outside and literally sit on a chair , close my eyes and breath in and out nice and slow. I got mine as my maternity leave was ending and I did not want to go back to work!!! Hope you are ok. Love the green olives and almonds…yummy. In fact when I was pregnant I had a massive craving for olives and my kids like them now too.

Yeah anxiety can be horrible, especially when there’s people around and you just want to escape!
I haven’t had any real symptoms of deficiencies, although I think there’s a small risk for people like me (plant based) to get a bit low on B12 since I didn’t supplement with any vitamins when fasting, and I’m not the best at remembering to take them while eating either! Unlike a majority of vitamins, B12 can be stored, mainly in the liver, in substantial amounts. For a person who consumes animal products, and don’t have any absorption disorder, the stores are believed to last for a couple of years, but for vegans it’s important to take a supplement!
Other than that I think that my levels are in check!
Haha that’s funny! My mom told me that she ate crazy amounts of red paprika’s while being pregnant with me, and it’s one of my favourite foods, I eat it like people eat chocolate! :ok_hand:

10th day of refeed

I don’t know if I should call it refeed still, since I feel like my body is functioning and digests the food well by now!
But I’ll continue making OMAD posts and focus on continuing getting stronger and healthier! :woman_cartwheeling:t4:

Today was a better day than the past two!
I got more sleep, and did a lighter workout that consisted of a 3 km run and body weight exercises afterwards!
I had my lunch at 1pm with a baked sweet potato, black beans, avocado, paprika and cashews!

Reminds me of the only reason I wasn’t a STEM student was I found out when I was an adult I’m slightly dyslexic with numbers. It’s when I work out calculations on paper, my brain will occasionally switch numbers. It’s the reason when people give me phone numbers and addresses I ask to confirm by repeating back what I wrote down.

Yet, when I was took the IBM test for computer aptitude for a computer trade school after I graduated from UCLA I scored in the top 5%. Shows you how weirdly individual each of us are.

Anna ( well compdude as well) I was just reading back in your journal and I was wondering if you can tell me how many days of water fasting did it take you to lose 6kg (one stone) and also if you can let me know what activities you were doing (in terms of exercise).

@dks_toys 7 days or 1 week I lost 1.07 stone. Most strenuous exercise I did was 1 to 2 mile walk. But almost 2/3rds of that was water weight.

I didn’t weigh myself until the fast was over so unfortunately I don’t know! Most lose about a pound a day on average, but that includes water weight! :cherry_blossom:
I wasn’t that physically active, but my days consisted of studying, taking shorter walks, and doing daily tasks!
