Alipio’s Science Sources

None of the existing categories seem to fit so I thought I’d just stick all of this stuff here.

I work hard at making sure all the stuff I take positions on are science based. But, what exactly does that mean? For myself, its making sure that the research isn’t biased due to being funded by a large pharmaceutical company or “junk food” company. Additionally, I look to research scientists that appear to be well respected by their peers.

This first entry is a podcast by Dr. Peter Attia. I first came across him through watching an interview with him on the Joe Rogen Experience podcast, followed up by one of his TedTalk presentations and several other YouTube interviews. One of the things I noted is while many of the YouTube “health” proponents are sponsored or are pushing their own programs, Dr Attia relies on his clientele based in NYC and San Diego and offering tiered membership pricing on his website to access to his exclusive content. Anyway, that’s my bar for those whose content I want to get behind.

A lot of confusion regarding what exactly is autophagy and how long does it take to activate in the human body. Here Dr Rhonda Patrick interviews one of the leading experts on Autophagy, Dr. Guido Kroemere who is on the staff of the University of Paris Descartes.
It’s a long video, so if you go into the description there is a timeline breakdown to help you access the specific information you are looking for:

One of several research scientists I follow is Dr Benjamin Bikman who teaches at BYU. I found this interesting because when I was a CPT this was a concern of my older clients.

Interesting!!! Didn’t realize my tongue was fat, I assumed it was fat around my neck. But I know the tongue kind of sits back there and causes problems while sleeping!

Thanks for sharing!

It almost makes me angry that they’re still using the same methods!
So misleading to people suffering with with obesity to try and keep such an unsustainable lifestyle, without understanding the hidden causes of it!
But they make a lot of money on misery at least…

Well here’s something that’s going to send you through the roof.

The Biggest Loser is coming back later this month on the 28th on the USA Network channel. I told Yas and she couldn’t believe it.
