Day 1. No hungry. I will walk after work.

I started my 3 day fast last night only because I promised my wife that I would do that with her. I’m going to break it Wed evening, and then jump right into ADF. I did a 30 minute total body workout this morning, and my affirmations :+1:t5:

Ooof…7:42 pm PST and starting to feel hungry. I know I can do this! And I am and will do this, just posting here for accountability. I plan to go to bed at 10 pm, so just need to muscle through 2 hours. I am never hungry when I wake, so making it until 10 am will be a breeze as long as I can make it to 10 pm. As far as an OMAD day tomorrow, hmmm…that is already starting to feel super challenging right now lol. For the safety of successfully fasting MWF this week, I am going to commit eating within a window (10 am to 6 pm) on OMAD days, which looks like: coffee, lunch and a small dinner- all low carb, healthy, lots of veggies. I am still stuck on figuring out three simple affirmations for myself. Would love to hear others affirmations if you are willing to share!

Fasted today! It was challenging and not because of hunger but it was a stressful day! And I really wanted to eat to make myself feel better. But I didn’t and it was hard but this is a challenge after all! We can do this. Sending you all love especially on your challenging and hard days! We are worth feeling our best and some days will be easier than others!:heart::heart:

Hi Lisa! Happy to have you along for this journey! Fasting help expose how much my emotions fuel “hunger.” Tonight, my roommate rudely interrupted me while I was trying to share something important and that totally led to me feeling the sensation to eat to soothe. So I get it! You’re doing great!

I am
I had a victory today
My sons father is extremely abusive in fact it was his constant abuse the led me to my current eating problem. I went to pick up my son (we meet at Walmart) and he starts yelling at me in the store in front of my son and everyone else because I didn’t answer an email he sent only 2 hours prior. Normally that kind of thing would trigger my ptsd and then send me running for the first fast-food I can find but today it didn’t, I stayed strong and am still fasting until tomorrow. I had many intrusive thoughts about food after that but I was able to tell myself no. Still seriously upset about him doing that but at the same time proud of myself for recognizing it is a trigger, not a real need for food and for having the strength to tell myself no.

Good on you Amanda! I know all too well about co-parenting with abusive former partners (I’m sure you can find old journal entries of mine on here detailing such abuse). You pushed through something really hard today! It has been my experience that if the post-traumatic stress that was initiated today doesn’t find a proper channel out of you, it can rear its ugly head a few days down the road and turn in to what I call the “ah f#$% it” mentality. So just be on guard! You’re doing great already. And I am really sorry you had to endure what you did today :frowning: I hope something really awesome happens to you tomorrow that just makes you completely forget what happened today.

Good morning

Completed Day 1 fasting. My plan is to do 5:2 but mentally I am not there yet due to the stress of a new position.

What will you be having for your meal today? Seeking ideas in case I decide to break my fast. I am 30 hrs into my fast as I type this.

My wife and I have decided to do OMAD today instead of fasting for 4 days in a row because my son is going back to Alaska tomorrow, and he wants to get together for dinner tonight. We have been fasting since Sunday so it works out great for this challenge

I love this challenge, and all the input/stories from you guys👍🏾

We are together in this, and there’s strength in numbers

I forgot to check on yesterday  it was my sons birthday so the food I ate was not the best however; I did not go overboard on it and I stayed on plan.
Today is a fasting day for me and I am more than half way though and see no reason I will not finish it off as planned. I have been doing short walks daily to incorporate so exercise and to enjoy the spring weather.
