Day 9!! I am amazed at myself! I really don’t believe I could have done it without you guys and this forum. I haven’t had any hunger until this morning. I dreamt about super cheesy pizza. I know it’s just a mental craving because that was what I made for my son last night. I just told myself that I can have keto pizza next month and the craving was gone. I’m sailing, otherwise!! Thanks everyone for all of the encouragement and positivity!

This time I’m not having much keto flue and surprisingly no Cravings for food at all😄… Whenever I see my siblings n other family members eating, My mind to me " why they are in a unhealthy life style" and I feel petty for them and at the same time feel proud of my Choice for Water only fast…
Reason for very less keto flue May be due to the exam pressure I’m not getting time to notice my Keto flue… My CPA final exams from june so I’m extremely occupied by my studies hence not getting extra time…
But I’m taking my sugarfree electrolytes , multivitamins and Himalayan salt regularly…

The longest fast I did was last year for 17 days, 10 hours. I will be doing 7 days and refeeds every Sunday for this month, trying to build my fasting muscles back up again.

I’m planning for 15days only… now in day 4… Super duper influenced by your experience…
I am currently on my 15th day (355 hours) of fasting and even though I was really set to doing a 30 day fast, I am considering breaking it.
I need to lose another 12 lbs before the 3rd of April (24 more days) or I stand to lose a considerable amount of money So far I have lost 18 lbs and I felt really confident I could do this.
BUT…
A few days ago, when taking our dog to the vet for an examination, I actually got really dizzy and had to sit down. At that point I thought it was the combination of wearing a think jacket inside, wearing my COVID mask and seeing the vet probing the leg of our dog, to get a biopsy of a lump, with blood coming out.
Once I was outside, mask off etc, I felt ok again. But that did startle me.
I revisited the fasting salts I was taking and upped the amount, drinking enough water and was ok. Watching my BP which is on spot every time.
Now I was sitting on the couch, and just felt at little bit dizzy again, but it passed quickly.
The thing is: I am taking care of my little 22 month old son all day with nobody around and thinking of his safety, which comes first!
So now I am considering my options including but not limited to:
Continuing
Breaking my fast, refeeding 7 days and back to a longer fast
Breaking my fast, refeeding and onto ADF
Anything you guys can come up with?
Considering how much $ is at stake, I think I’ll vote for a short keto refeed then back to fasting until you hit your goal (self-monitoring at all times, of course). That dizzy feeling will go away, I promise, but it can be a bit worrying, particularly when you’re looking after a small child.
Day 10. It actually came a bit faster than expected. Just keeping it up and pushing myself to keep going. It is a lot easier now. Good luck everyone!
Definitely prioritize the well being of yourself and your son! Personally I really struggle with ADF because I feel like I’m constantly dealing with the hunger pangs, so it’s easier for me to just do an extended fast. But you could try different approaches and see what works best. Good luck to you!
Day 10, 230 hours in and feeling good! My mind still day dreams about eating unhealthy food, but the cravings are getting less each day, especially as I continue to see results. We are almost exactly 1/3 of the way through!
Is anyone else here not weighing themselves? I decided not to until the end bc it can be a huge trigger for me and mess with my head when it’s not budging.
Yeah I am thinking it is the wisest thing to do right now At the vet was actually so bad that I thought I was going to faint. Really don’t want that happening when alone with my son
I am actually carnivore so not taking any carbs at all, so hopefully I won’t go up too much…

Yeah, i totally relate! I was like that Saturday! Was out with my Mom, trying to keep myself busy and i was so dizzy, I actually thought i was gonna faint.
Maybe, the mask adds to that, I don’t know.
But i know how you feel. I’d say listen to your body.

Hi, sorry to hear about the dizziness, I have also experienced that and eventually had to break my fast in the past. I agree with @Myhnabird with having a very low carb/keto refeed and continuing. You can reach your target that way. Hope you feel better soon, of course, you need to think about your baby son.
