I love my heating pad. It is always at hand. It’s soothing, especially on my abdomen. Jigsaw puzzles, coloring, my weighted blanket, and reading are all soothing to me. But my heating pad is my favorite. I use it everyday!! I also do mild stretching for pains, but I can’t do them if I am dizzy. I hope some of this helps.
2nd Annual “March Madness” Fasting Challenge
day 8. still going through it!
I’m officially in week 2!! This is definitely a milestone for me as 6 days has been my longest!! My nausea is going down and I’m cruising baby!! I’m so proud of myself and of you all wherever you are on your journeys!!
Thank you! Great advice.
I have decided I’m going to fast for 5-7 days and then have a small meal and then repeat! I feel like that would be better for my body. Right after I eat lunch at work today, I will start day 1 of my second fast for the month!
Does anyone know if CBD breaks a fast?
I took it because my anxiety was too much so I don’t know if I have to restart my fasting hours
I had a refeed yesterday and jumped back on. Day 2 for me
I have got to keep going no matter what. Let’s go.
My nausea finally diminished and with that came energy! I did a light workout, which felt good, followed by salt water. I’m just amazed at how much easier it has gotten. No hunger and I’m coasting along nicely.
I’m going to try my hardest not to weigh myself tonight or tomorrow.
7.00, halfway in on day 14 for me. 324 hours
Just checked the scale and I’m down a total of 18 lbs, or at least that is what that damn thing said
Seriously guys, 18 lbs!!
That would normally take me 2-3 months of “dieting”. And most of the times I would lose sight of the goal and give up. Meaning I’d go up and had to go down even more.
18 pounds in less than 2 weeks (the day is not over yet )
And guess what?!?
My first reaction when seeing the scale this morning was a bit of disappointment!
Seriously
What is up with that!?!
It felt like it was not enough seeing that I haven’t eating anything in 2 weeks!
Probably because some people seem to lose a lot more when fasting.
Is it going to bring me down and quit though!?
HELL NO!!
I have never ever in my life lost weight this fast.
And this easy for that matter.
And this cheap!
I tried SO many things. Diets. Expensive diet products. Personal trainers etc etc etc. Spent hundreds of euros on books and programs to rid myself of all this weight that has been dragging me down for ages.
And now, in only 2 weeks I have lost 18 lbs by not eating, not spending money, healing my body and feeling energetic and confident about it.
The “I am not losing fast enough, it doesn’t work for me, I might as well quit” mental trap seems to have little effect on me this time.
Because right after the initial disappointment, it hit me that I am WELL ON MY WAY to reach my goals!
I look in the mirror every time I can, and I see this glowing new face smiling back at me. A woman with bright eyes, full of energy and life. I notice how my body is changing. Collarbones appearing. Thighs not continuously rubbing when walking. And the list goes on and on.
So here is what I am going to do today, to add to my motivational poster on the wall:
List ALL positive changes I am noticing so far to keep reminding myself that the scale is just a number and not the main goal.
Who is with me??
It is not about the length of the fast but the fact that you ARE fasting.
You are not jumping back on, you are continuing!
You did not quit. You kept going!
Safely refeeding and listening to your body is probably the most important thing of fasting.
Learning and improving is probably the most important in life.
You are doing ALL of that!
That is something to be extremely proud of!
Heck, I don’t even know you and I’m proud of you!!!
Excited for day 9! This is where it got good for me last year! Smooth sailing from here on out I hope!
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words.
You are doing great yourself. What an achievement!!!
We have got this
I’m with you on listing all the positive changes so far!! A huge reason I started this fast is bc of an injury I have that may require surgery, and it’s AMAZING how much it has improved in 8.5 days! No way will I stop.
18 pounds is incredible! On average most people lose about 1 pound per day and you’re over that. We just usually hear the stories of people losing crazy amounts. Glad to hear you are shifting your focus to other important benefits. The confidence boost is huge sticking to these long fasts! It’s priceless.
Day 9 and still fasting forward!
Cheers to everyone here! So great to see the progress and to witness your positive affirmations and tenacity. This is an incredible group!
I’m just a couple of days in, so nothing big to report here. I’ve noticed that, for the most part, my energy is steady (I did decide to go to bed at about 9pm last night) and my emotional state is too. It’s nice to feel some of the clarity that comes with fasting.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Day 9 and feeling proud of myself.
I Love this affirmation because it tells it like it is. I’ve gone through this so many times in my life. Thanks again for this reminder affirmation.
You guys are ROCKING IT!!!
Coasting is upon you
