At work - I have not eaten for nearly 24 hours. Its easy at work because I’m so busy. Its home that is super tough!!!

Its around this time of the night that my ‘why’ becomes less important.

Well, the good thing is you are aware of your triggers/weakest moments… you might want to have a plan to tackle this beforehand, list out some to-dos stuffs.

Remember, you are way more powerful than those external triggers…fasting taps the innate power that we already have… You’ll get there, just keep going, it doesn’t matter the length but the “not wanting to give up” every time you fall is far more important, that’s what I think has helped me.

5 days is no joke and long enough to experience all benefits, if not to the extent a longer fast would give.

I’m so happy to hear from you @Jessical and so happy you’re doing good. We’ve all faltered at some point, but you are still at it and that’s the important part. Don’t be too hard on your self. Take things slowly if you have to…there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. For example, maybe watch some youtube videos on alternate fasting techniques (like intermittent fasting), that may help you get through those hurdles since you’d be able to eat limited times. You can then work your way up to a very long extended fast like you were trying to do. I’ve watched videos where people have done great and lost lots of weight on alternative fasting techniques. Like you said you have some emotional hurdles to get over, so maybe easing into the longer fast will help to overcome that? Idk, just some suggestions.

Good job @Antipodean and @Tenax or making it five days…that’s a great accomplishment! @Antipodean I hope you are feeling better otherwise and I’m glad you had support in your guy with you to tell you to eat something!

Good job @Shankari_Nagendran - looks like we’re still at it…I’m currently on day five too (almost 106 hours down). Good job to all who are still at and those who are making plans to get back at it!

I had to take some ginger tea yesterday because I was feeling nauseous and tired. The fresh ginger helped and I was able to sleep it off! So I still in it for now. I’m almost to the end of my first seven days. I’m contemplating if I will go right through to the next seven days or if I’ll refeed and then get back at it. I’m not feeling hungry or anything, my mind is still just telling me I need to eat because that’s what I’ve been doing my whole life…eating when my mind says to eat. I’m getting over some emotional hurdles myself and trying to increase my will power to say no to my flesh.

Gotta get to work now!

@Mizqtpye thank you, and well-done to you as well. I’m thinking to complete 10 days and then decide what’s next. I don’t have hunger, and if only I can continue till I complete 21 Days, that would be the best gift I can give myself. Oh well too far ahead to even think about that :joy_cat::joy_cat::joy_cat: keep going :+1::+1::clap::clap::clap:

I hope you’re feeling better. Have you started again. When I personally go through an episode like this it doesn’t work when I start over the following day. I usually need a few days to calm down and take it easy. I accept it now that my triggers will never go away. So I’m learning how to deal with them. It works when I’m more mindful…

I hope everyone is well and pushing through regardless of where they are in the fast. I’ve made it to day 6. It’s been so hectic at home but I feel absolutely euphoric, got a burst of energy. I’m lucky the kids keep me occupied. I have to say that fasting gives me more energy to focus on them. Is that strange? As though it makes more selfless

@z-por you are doing really well… Congrats you’ve made it to day 6… Ive just started on day 6… Happy for you that you are experiencing burst of energy in your fast … What’s your plan, how many days do you plan to fast?

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve joined the group with the intention of 21 days. I hope I don’t falter. How’s the fast been for you so far?

@Z-Por It’s been alright, I finally am out the hunger or food thoughts, so that’s good… But I’m not working out; I feel sleepy in the evening n lazing more these days. Though I do other stuff like audiobook, office work, create contents for my biz page etc. nothing physically strenuous… Its like; mentally Im very alert but physically Im getting slower. I’m yet to experience the surge of energy. I’m currently on water-only fast, let’s see how this goes.

That’s excellent, I want to complete 21 days too… Long way to go, one day at a time.

Hi everyone. I am too on my fifth day of water fasting. I didn’t update on my page because I don’t know how this is going to be. The last time I’ve tried, I had to quit because of my anxiety, my heart pressure was too high. But today I feel fine, my heart pressure is almost normal, and I hope I can continue to achieve my dream goal of 21 days. But baby steps.

109 hours in and I still feel like poo poo. Im still tired and my lower back pain is making it hard to sit, stand, or lay down. Basically its impossible to be alive. jajajaja, but I havent been tempted to break. I watched the movie "The science of Fasting " last night on youtube and it was a huge inspiration to stay the course. I highly recommend it. https://youtu.be/t1b08X-GvRshttps://youtu.be/t1b08X-GvRs

Im still fairly tired to. I dont know how some of you are able to work and fast like this. I applaud those who can. Dont even get me started on watching children with this amount of energy. again for those of you working or parenting, my hat is off to you.

For those of you who are struggling to see things through, im sorry but I hope you can find the courage to be kind to yourself. I would have to agree that taking some time between fast is advisable. Can I ask if you have followed any specific nutrition protocol before beginning the fast?

I’m so grateful for this group. Thank you all so much for being vulnerable and discussing how hard this really is.

I started my 21 day fast on Sunday. I’m glad to see more started around the same time as me because when I signed up for the forum, I mostly noticed posts from last fall. Although I have a couple friends that are supportive and my mother is also on board with it, this forum is a great encouragement for me. Best wishes on your fast.
