Yesterday was suppose to be day 1 but I talked myself out of it. I am 42, 5 2’, 183.4 pounds and 45 inch waist. I’d like to fast for 5 days. I’m scared of the sugar and caffeine withdrawals. I’m hoping this fast will heal my caffeine and carb cravings so that I can live a Keto and Fasting lifestyle. I want to heal my depression so that I can be a happier wife and mother. I would also like to buy nice cloths again.

Welcome to our fasting community. I’m the resident “greybeard” as I’ve completed the longest water fast at 40 days.

I was not able to fast yesterday however it was my first day without coffee. The headache was real!
I’ve decided to stick with Keto and IF first. I’ll try fasting once I’m fat adapted.
My IF schedule will be 18:6. I will eat between 12 and 6.
Today’s goal is to eat at 12 and to stop eating by 6. Drink homemade bone broth in place of coffee.
Caffeine withdrawals can be tough. Staying flexible is key to eventually achieving your goal. Stay with your new plan and you’ll get there.
When I was with a telecommunications company in Seattle we sent our best technician to Sweden to do an installation of a test system. The kid was known at every Starbucks within a 3 mile radius of our company because he always ordered 7-shot lattes. At that time, Sweden didn’t have a single Starbucks. During the weekend after he arrived on Friday, all he could do was stay in bed and moan from the withdrawal symptoms.

I haven’t had success with anything. Feeling anxious and depressed, like I’m never going to be able to lose this weight. BUT I just woke up and today I will try to water fast!

The last four days have been great! I’m intermittent fasting and eating Keto!
I started Friday at 190.4 and as of today I’m 186.2! I know its water weight but the number is going down.
