So many definitions of fasting. What do we all have in mind?
It seems we all are:
- Delaying our next meal to trigger ever greater fasting benefits.
- Completely eliminating snacking, incidental eating.
- Rejecting–at least temporarily–the ambition that good health is achieved while following modern norms of eating, thus experiencing some tension among those who love us.
- Becoming very regimented, very purposeful in forecasting what our future meals should be like.
- Remaining seperated from food’s influence on our lives to see what happens, and maybe become honest and introspective about our relationships and other areas of this life.
- On our own eating schedule.
