Water fast goal - 21 days

So for day 1 -I cleaned the living room table, the supply area, and hand washed the floors underneith those areas. I started a paper journal to suss out my objectives of this fast. I am hoping that the preparation I did for the 10 days before this fast was nutritious enough to sustain a 21 day fast.

Woke up earlier than I have been in the last 6 weeks and I slept well last night. I’m feeling the fasting vibe! I fast 2X a year and this is my first fast of 2020.

Using Keto stix to measure when I move into ketosis - sort of a running record of each fast.

Goals for day 2 are to complete the cleaning of my home - it’s a tradition I do when I start a fast because it makes me feel good.

Will be checking in 2x a day- to update progress

thanks for the info, it’s helpful.

ok, so the day went well.heightened happiness for sustained periods of time - mostly due to cleaning the house “to the corners.” Started to get cold about 45 minutes ago and a little tired, so I had a 1/2 hour lay down while watching some inspiring TEDX talks, and I feel good enough to tackle the kitchen and bathroom. That will be all the cleaning for today because those are the goals I wrote down this morning. After I’ve completed the last 2 rooms, it’s reading time. I’m also tracking my heartbeats via my Fitbit and my resting heart beat, plus steps per day to measure the changes. I’ve felt Hungary twice today so far and it was nothing I couldn’t ignore.

You sound super organized. I like “house cleaning to the corners”. I could never do that. I haven’t seen the corners in a decade. Best of luck.:hugs:

thanks! It’s really meditative for me to do a serious cleaning when I start my fast and it makes me feel better to wake up the next day and see the results of my actions.

Day 4 - slept like a rock, even overslept my alarm! After work, todays goals are the closets - toss out what I haven’t touched in 6 months. Motivation is slowing growing but I had to take a nap yesterday. It might be a trend starting, I’m not sure, but I seem to get cold in the afternoons around 2-3pm and tired. My BPM on my Fitbit go down so I know this is blood pressure related, There are soooo many hours in a day and time is moving slowly. I like this part of fasting, where you realize how much time there is in a day and can use it to catch up on everything that you’ve been putting off for months. I’m seeing increased focus in my self and my thinking is slowing down enough to concentrate on one subject at a time. I’ve reduced my screen time and am staying away from visual media as much as possible because the next phase will be the emotional reaction to violence negative things.

Are you talking about your reaction to violent images you see on TV?
