Before I started my program back in August 9th, I was taking daily insulin injections and a diabetes medication. Even though I was told I had my diabetes “under control” my health was deteriorating. In one year I gained 20lbs. My blood pressure rose to 191/103 and my Chronic Kidney Disease progressed from Stage 2 to Stage 3a. So I said screw it and started asking questions.
First of all I recommend you read “The Diabetic Code” by Dr. Jason Fung. He’s a kidney doctor with the University of Toronto. He got tired of not being able to help his patients get better and started asking questions. He found that the common belief that type 2 is a chronic progressive disease, fancy medical terminology meaning we hae no cure is instead “curable”. That’s because in studies of diabetic patients that had bariatric surgery the majority of them reversed their diabetes. So he asked himself is there a way of getting the same benefit without the surgery.
I’ve used his research to find other researchers to create my own custom treatment protocol. It was from own studies I immediately dropped my insulin without telling my doctor. He’s the type who still believes in the old medical establishment thinking of diabetes. When I saw him 3 weeks into my program, he still was skeptical but he had to accept the results and “officially” blessed me dropping the insulin. Shortly thereafter I also dropped the diabetes medication.
From looking over your documentation you are doing great. From my own experience don’t focus so much on the daily blood glucose reading but instead of the overall trend. For me, my own blood glucose is ranging from the 60s to the low 70s after the initial water weight loss period. I just submitted my weekly status report to the Endocrinologist at USC and he told me I’m doing great.
Let me know if you have any questions.
